Comfort Inn Theatre District - New York

Wir waren schon mehrmals in New York und wurden diesmal mit diesem kleinen, netten Hotel positiv überrascht. Unser Zimmer und Bad war klein, aber sehr sauber, und für ein paar Nächte O.K. Die Einrichtung war neu und ansprechend. Im Preis enthalten reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Wir würden es wieder buchen.

Wer in New York mitten im Leben sein will, kann mit dem Quality Inn nichts falsch machen. 2 Blocks vom Times Square entfernt. Offentlicher Nahverkehr um die Ecke. Das Frühstück war für continetal hervorragend. Ich werde gerne wieder dort buchen.

1,5 Blocks zum Times Square sagt wohl alles zur Lage. Für USA Verhältnisse ein super Frühstück, die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Preis und Leistung sehr empehlenswert.

-Hotel in einer super Lage (5min. zum Time Square) -Andere Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss erreichbar -Hotel war sehr sauber und Zimmergrösse völlig ok für eine Städtereise. -Morgenessen war gut Ich würde dieses Hotel beim nächsten mal sofort wieder buchen.

Die Lage des Hotels ist natürlich fantastisch, es liegt in Midtown in unmittelbarer Nähe des Theater District. Das heisst, man erreicht Broadway, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue gut zu Fuss. Auch der Busstop von City Sights (Up- und Downtown Tour) und die Metro sind in einigen Minuten zu Fuss erreichbar. Das Hotel selbst ist nicht riesig, […] aber sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist toll und man kann jederzeit Kaffee oder Tee zubereiten zum Mitnehmen. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Die Zimmer waren sauber und gut eingerichtet. Nur zwei Avenues vom Times Square gelegen bietet das Hotel ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Zimmer war klein, aber sauber - doch mal ehrlich - dorthin kommt man ohnehin nur für eine (kurze) Nachtruhe. Continental Breakfast ist im Preis inkludiert und überraschend gut. Gesamteindruck: Empfehlenswert!

good location and worked great.

Great location just one street from times square. very quite street. nice staff and nice breakfast. the room was very clean and comfortable. the breakfast is inclouded so it is very good. we were very happy about our stay at the hotel.

The Comfort Inn on 44th st is just a block away from Times Square and reasonably priced. This small hotel showed signs of wear, but the rooms were larger than others I've stayed in. The single elevator can be slow and the breakfast was not great, but passable.

Good location. Clean rooms, a bit small. I would recomend some directions in the bath to divert the tub water to the shower. Only one of our group figured it out. Elevator was a little shakey.

Convenient to Theatre District/Times Square. Personnel at front desk were excellent, cordial. Complimentary breakfast and the in-room fridge were convenient, helpful inclusions and helped us choose this hotel. Negatives: our room deadbolt did not work/turn. There were stains on the blanket on one of the beds and other cleanliness issues in the room. […] The elevator was slow, and was about to undergo maintenance - we think it was the only elevator in the building. Not bad for the price; cheaper than other hotels in the theater district, and a decently nice hot breakfast buffet. Breakfast for 4 will set you back at least $50-$60 in NY, so take into account that this very nice breakfast was included in the price of the room. The room itself was small: think cruise-ship small... the bathroom door barely cleared […] the toilet, but the room was clean (except for some stains on the bed coverlet). View was of dumpsters. The breakfast area was quite crowded with a very limited amount of tables, so do be prepared to take your breakfast back up to your room to eat. We scored a table by going to breakfast at 6:30 when it opened, but in 5 minutes all the tables/counterseats were taken (there was likely 4-5 tables in all). The 'lobby' was almost non-existent, the hallways were claustrophobic, and the room spartan. BUT... the beds were comfortable, the location excellent, and we were too busy seeing NY sites to do anything but sleep anyway. No concierge, no real information at the front desk, no gift store in the lobby...there's a beverage machine on the 2nd floor (there appears to be only 3 floors, so not much of a walk from your room). If you want to enjoy the NY experience with a luxurious hotel, there are much nicer places to stay right in the theater district. But this was adequate in every way if just sleeping is your goal, so the overall value was good. Mehr

The hotel was just a block away from Broadway shows. With that said it was very convenient to get around. The rooms are a bit small. Great for just a weekend stay. The breakfast was good. They do validate parking ticket, but make sure you park in correct garage. The noise level can be a little high if your not use to a city that never sleeps. You may […] want to request a room on back side of hotel. Hotel rooms look like they were renovated recently and very clean. Other than that no real complaints. The two star rating of this hotel seems low considering our experience last week. The outside of the building is not especially inviting, but once you step inside, you are pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff is attentive and answered all questions as to how to get to certain locations. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The breakfast […] was more than adequate and inlcuded both hot and cold items....far better than the cold cereal and stale muffins you sometimes find. The hotel is within walking distance of most theaters and there is a subway stop that goes to the World Trade Center, Cana Street, Greenwich Village and other destinations without changing trains. There are restaurants and bars on the street, Shake Shack is right around the corner. As far as NYC hotels go, I think that this hotel is a good value. Mehr

No laundry facilities...

Had a fantastic vacation in NYC. Staying at the Comfort Inn Theater District was a wonderful advantage. It was close to Times Square, The Port Authority, The Hudson River etc. We walked to almost every thing we wanted to see. Hotel was very clean, quiet and they served a very wonderful continental breakfast. Would recommend it heartily.

My niece and I stayed there over the weekend and were very pleased with the front desk service. Our room was clean, you could smell the cleaning supplies when you opened the door, and breakfast in the morning was good. The hotel was 2 blocks from Port Authority and within walking distance of the theater district. We would stay again, we loved it and.....you […] can't beat the price. Mehr

There was a very strong cleaning smell in the hotel and the rooms were very small. I am not fancy at all and the rooms were safe and totally clean. Just not a place I would want to stay even for a quick business trip. There are better options for the price around there.

went to New York for St Patrick's day and had a great time the hotel was fine and location was great, breakfast was good only problem was "Central Parking" located across the street,hotels gives you discount ticket for parking but read the fine print and watch your time for parking go over and they ripe you off, not the hotels fault but Central Parking […] garage, Mehr

I had a great experience with this hotel. Check-in was nice and easy. The location was great! It was a block away from tourist attractions. On the same block of the hotel was a subway. I was shocked I found a hotel in that area for a great price! The pillows were sooo comfortable! I recommend to others, and I would stay again!

The room was exceptionally clean. The staff were VERY helpful and friendly. Tidy up the entry and back desk area and the hotel would be TOP DRAWER! Thanks for the experience!

We had a great stay....quiet street....close to Times Square....clean room...hotel staff let us check in early AND they "checked" our bags when we checked our the next morning till our bus left at 5. Comfortable, clean room. Great breakfast. The only complaint I could have was that the elevator was out the first day and our room was right next to the […] stairs....but we were pretty tired so we slept through most of the noise. We will definitely stay there again! Mehr

Best value...can travel by foot anywhere in NYC worthwhile!

Very nice place with affordable price. For people who drive to NY city, there is a parking garage right across street of the hotel, you can get parking coupon from the hotel when you check out.

Was really pleased with this hotel. After reading not so fantastic reviews we were a bit worried. But there was absolutely no need to worry. Location could not have been better, our room was actually not as small as I was expecting (but still small enough!) and the bedroom and bathroom were spotless clean which is the main requirement. For the price […] we paid for our 5 night stay it was a bargain. Staff were helpful when needed and they had special offer drinks at the bar in the evenings which was great, $5 beers :) I would definately stay here again. Mehr

The Comfort Inn Theatre was a nice stay. Easy to get to must see sights..Inn was clean also free breafast...reasonable rate..Staff very friendly..I would stay here again...

If you want to be right near Times Square without the huge price tag, this hotel is for you. Very clean hotel with free, delicious breakfast. Friendly staff and willing to hold your bags too!

Nice hotel for the money. Very Clean!!! Great location. We could walk to Time Square and the Broadway plays in just minutes!

We arrived early and tired and the front desk was wonderful in giving us our room at 1pm! Everyone at the front desk was so friendly as were the entire cleaning staff. The location was ideal to times square and lots of great restaurants around the corner on 9th ave! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

This was the first time I had visited New York with my girlfriends and we spent a ton of time looking for hotels. We were a little nervous about the number of stars this Comfort Inn had received. However, as soon as we walked though the door our worries were assuaged. The service was amazing, the room was incredibly clean, and they even had warm cookies […] ready for us. For the price, location, and free continental breakfast you will be hard pressed to find a hotel that matches this incredible Comfort Inn! Mehr

The hotel was so comfortable that I felt good during 4 days stay. The employees were all kind. Especially when I returned to the hotel to get my book that I thought I left at the previous day, they were really cooperative. At breakfast, the woman staff that cooked waffle for guests was very kind. The restroom in my room was amazingly clean. The room was clean, of a good size for NYC and the location was very convenient. The staff was considerate and seem happy to answer questions. The breakfast was hot, good and filling. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at the hotel Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. Fantastic location near Times Square at a surprisingly very reasonable price. Hotel room was small, as expected for the location, but everything was clean and in excellent condition. We are definitely planning on staying again.

Good location; room was clean except for black mold growing around the base of the shower; breakfast presentation was haphazard and food was mediocre at best.

It was great...We'll definitely stay there again. Breakfast is fantastic. My only complaint was the screaming kid in the next room, but of course, that has nothing to do with the hotel!

The elevator is very slow and there is only one. The Lobby is dirty. The hotel needs to be updated but the price is very reasonable by NY standards

Fantastic! Employees were friendly & courteous all the time. The room, although small, was extremely comfortable. The location is excellent, 2 blocks from the center of Times Square & all the theatres all around us.. For the value and for the price we paid - it was 5 star all the way and we would go again..
