gutes Hotel in mittelmäßiger Umgebung, nach Virginia Beach ca. 25 Minuten. Früstück war durschnittlich.

Very good hotel - I had the impression it was brand new or at least built within the last 12 months. The location is very convenient to the airport.

When we entered our room, water was running in the tub, and it was almost over flowing. There was no hot water in the sink or the shower even after letting the water run for an extended period of time. Items the last guests had left were still on the floor. Very disappointing.

The hotel is acually fine. It just so happened my fitted sheet and duvet cover had what appeared to be a blood stain. The sheet had been washed I think but the stain remained. It was taken care of immediately by staff. My wife coming home late one night saw an apple in the fruit basket and casually went to pick it up and her thumb plunged into a big […] rotten spot. Ididn't realize she just left it there until the next morning when I went to the newly stocked basket and the rotten apple was still there. Attention to detail seems to be lacking but overall I must say they are trying hard. Mehr

I booked a room at this motel because they stated they had a shuttle to the airport. Once we checked in, I was told they had stopped doing a shuttle and I would have to pay for a taxi to get to the airport! So there was an expense I wasn't planning for. Also, upon check-in, the front desk person was adament about their "no smoking" policy. Their hotel […] was totally non-smoking. Once we reached the fourth floor where our room was, all we could smell was smoke!! I couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, well worth it for the price. It was clean, the people were very nice and the location was easy to find. I will certainly stay there again.

After spending hours online trying to find a hotel with at least 3 stars that was reasonable with free wifi & some kind of breakfast, I booked this hotel and was very much surprised. The staff was wonderful, even calling the room a few minutes after I checked in to see if there was any problem...which there wasn't. The staff always had a smile on their […] faces and had quick answers to my questions. I spent the 1st night alone as the other guests hadn't arrived yet and, being a woman, felt very safe and secure. While I didn't have time to use the pool, I wish I did. A nice surprise was that there was also an laundry room on site and books to check out if needed. I was also surprised that there was a tub and not just a shower. Nice location. Dining area for breakfast and the items included were excellent, from drinks to items to eat. Room was very clean and everything was in order. Staff were very polite and accommodating. I only stayed here for one night - just two people in a room with a king-sized bed. We made our reservations that morning and arrived around 9:30pm. The night manager was a little disinterested in putting down her magazine to check us in, but otherwise the staff and accommodations were excellent. The room was spacious and had a little living area with […] a couch, coffee table, refrigerator, a coffee pot, and a nice TV. The bed was large and comfy and the room was clean and neat. In the morning, the continental breakfast was very nice and the staff there in particular (Diane at the time) was very sweet and helpful - she ran to get me a cup of hot water for my oatmeal while the large carafe was refilling. The hotel is also easy to get to and located near the airport (our destination). We were pleased! If I need another stay in Virginia Beach/Norfolk area, I will be back. Mehr

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it was very nice. I was most impressed with the cleaniness and price of the hotel. I researched several hotels in the Hampton./Va.Beach/Norfork area through various sites and was throughly satisfied with this hotel. We were very pleased with our weeklong stay at the Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Norfolk Airport South. Each of the front desk staff was very helpful. At the check-in the staff member mentioned the hot breakfast. While other hotels advertise this “perk” this hotel actually served hot eggs, sausage and bacon. The exercise room that has new Lifefitness […] brand equipment was so clean that it looked as though it was rarely used. This hotel was the first hotel in this price range that advertised free Wi-Fi that actually faster than my 3G cellphone internet. In summary this was a very pleasant stay. In summary, this was a very nice hotel in this price range and in a great location. Mehr

I was pleased with the staff, all of whom were friendly and eager to help. Room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast was great! Had one issue with door card but quickly fixed by desk clerk. Has a fitness room. Would use this hotel in the future.

Excellent hotel for money, very consistent chain over their hotels. Only small problem, TV remotes didn't work. Too late in our stay to bother about'.

This hotel is most satisfactory in all areas. Clean, conveniet, pleasant staff, good buffet breakfast, close to area attractions.

I stayed at the country inn and suites with my girlfriend that i hadnt seen in months. We had an amazing weekend and the hotel was amazing. The staff was very friendly and our room was always clean even though we "occasionally" left a "few" beer bottles scattered across the night stands. Long story short I had a great weekend.

Priced right for the labor day weekend.....close to VA beach.

Bathroom was not properly cleaned daily. Coffee pot was not cleaned daily or coffee replenished. Bed was not made with proper size fitted sheet. Water ran in toilet continuely. These things were pointed out to the Housekeeping supervisor and they were not addressed.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. when I got into my room the toliet seat in the bathroom was completely wet, I called the front desk and let them know and the person he was way too busy and couldn't come for another 2 hours. I asked if I could switch rooms and he said he was completely book however there plenty of parking spaces open and no one […] around. Another thing that was discouraging was the attitudes of the people working there, they weren't friendly at all, the only person that was, was the breakfest lady. The one good thing about the hotel was the free breakfest it was acutally alot better than I expected. They only have 1 elevator for everybody and it s 5 floors, the pool is very small, sad to say but I will not be staying here again, Mehr

Stayed over the Labor Day weekend and after reviewing many, many hotels, I was not disappointed with my decision. If you're looking for close proximity to the beach...this is not your choice. But if you want a clean, comfotable hotel room with a great, free breakfast buffet that is centrally located to everything including the beach...look no more! […] There is nothing negative I can say about this hotel. Very clean, curteous staff and comfortable bed (not as good as the one at the Country Inn and Suites in Fredericksburg but close). BReakfast could have been a little better but was still much better than the typical coffee and donuts you get at most places. This chain seems to be consistently good. The location of the hotel is accross street from resdential area which I nor my family did not like. I saw a man hanging around the parking lot and near the entrance of the hotel who did not belong at the hotel.I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone because of it's location.

Non Smoking Hotels are at the top of my list when choosing a place to stay. The Country Inn and Suites is just that, Non Smoking. It is a very nice hotel, clean, comfortable and the staff is very helpful even when stressed with a full house. The breakfast was very good. They had a great variety of things to choose from. The hotel was new and very nice, the room was extremely comfortable, but the pool was terrible. It tarnished a silver ring I had on while swimming. Nice hotel, but beware of the pool conditions.

The room was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and attentive to your needs. The hotel was close to the Norfolk airport. Only complaint was motel shuttle only runs until 11:00pm, my flight arrived at midnight.

This hotel is awesome! The staff is very friendly,and helpful. The breakfast is very very good. The location is only 15 minutes from beach, However Bush Gardens is about 45 minutes from hotel. That was the only thing that disapointed us but we made the best of it and had a wonderful time. I would stay at this hotel again and again.

The hospitality that we received was very comforting. Upon our arrival we were greeted with fresh baked cookies, yum! We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed an extra night! Overall the hotel appearance was clean, and the staff was nice too. I’ve added a new steakhouse to my list of favorites thanks to the hotel desk clerk’s suggestion.

I was thoroughly impressed by this hotel from the moment I walked in the door. The lobby itself looked like a living room, complete with staircase and fireplace. The gentleman behind the desk was beyond cordial and even went so far as to call up to the room once we got settled in to make sure the room exceeded our expectations! The room was immaculate […] and even smelled fresh. I could tell I was in the South because the entire staff was extremely polite and accomodating. Even breakfast was top-notch. My girlfriend and I were originally looking at beachfront hotels, but from the value and atmosphere here, I will GLADLY stay at this hotel again! Mehr

We were excited to find this hotel for our beach week. Breakfast was great, only 15-20 mins to beach, nice staff, met our needs! Also, on another note, couldn't find better quality beach parking for a better deal all day than Hilton's garage, with public parking, nearNeptune park.

I was coming into see the ship come in on base. The hotel it's self was really easy to get to, along with only 15mins from base. My room was big and nice, i was also by the door to get out that was not bad but they also were willing to change me but i said no because of the fact that i was leaving at odd hours. I ended up having to stay another day […] and they were really easy to work with, and even let me keep my safe room. It right next to everything you need and i would be more than happy to stay there again. Mehr
