Maui Beach Vacation Club - Kihei

The Maui Beach Vacation Club is a quiet hotel located in the long stretched little town Kihei.

Overall okay place. However I found a big dead B-52 (cockroach) under the mattress of my bed. Not air-conditioned so could be a problem if its in the middle of summer.

A perfect vacation spot for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. We are in our sixties, I think this was the right choice for us. The beach is right across the street and Kiehi is acessable to all the different locations in Maui.

First, as with many Hawaii locations, this is not a hotel, but a vacation rental. Be warned, there is NO Air Conditioning! This by itself is not the end of the world, but creates real problems that were not expected. The room was a very nice two bedroom set up right on the pool with a decent view of the ocean. The problem was that the windows had to […] remain open to keep the room from turing into a sauna, so you got to hear EVERYTHING going on at the pool or in the parking lot. This included the Air Conditioning at the Korean restaurant next door that never seemed to shut off in the evening. Sleep was just about impossible. First, it would have been nice to know that there is NO Air Conditioning!! I was old that it cools down after 7 or 8 in the evening. Room was okay, but lights did not all work, shower was not all clean and they only clean the room once a week. You can definitely do better for your money.

I arrived later than the office hours but they had a phone and combination lockbox, so there was no problem to enter. The rooms are large, airy and light! The furniture was very nice too and I found all the amenities of the kitchen, laundry and bathroom in very good order. My unit was poolside and on the ground floor. The location is also only 5 minutes […] from shopping, supermarket, highway access, restaurants and the beach accross the street is clean and lovely. The pool is a little chilly, but the hot tub made up for it. I would recommend this hotel for families anytime, or for couples too since you can have cosy breakfast or dinner together in the unit or on the lanai. There are some large barbeque grills near the pool which can be used for grilling anytime, so its very convenient for family. the Harbor at Ma'alea is close by (10 minutes) if you want to visit the Ocean Center or go Whale Watching or Snorkel or Snuba. Get discounts from the Activity Centers, and its much cheaper. Also if you like elegance, visit Wailea, there are restaurants, shops and golf in a manicured and community environment. Another lovely beachside restaurant with exceptional food and service is the 5 Palms at the Mauna Kai resort further on S. Kihei Road. You can watch the sunset while dining. and we even saw whales playing out in the bay from the table. We were enchanted! Mehr

When we first started coming to the Maui Beach Vacation Club 10 years ago it was so much nicer than it is now. It needs to be updated with a few repairs, It is still a great quiet place to stay with easy access to everything. Would like to see some improvements before our next stay.

A good value. Not luxurious, but comfortable. Tiny ants in the kitchen were a little bit of a turn off, but overall it was a great home base for our Maui vacation. Lovely pool and hot tub, great view of the ocean. It's across the street, but that hardly matters when viewing a sunset from the 5th floor!

The hotel was actually part of a timeshare, we booked without knowing this but after speaking with some of the other guests, were made aware. The amenitites were outstanding, access to outside grills, a free lunch provided by the club, very clean pool & hot tub, great views, a balcony, full kitchen, etc. Our only problems with the room were a lack […] of A/C and a few bugs that got in. This is a good, solid place to stay on the Kihei side of Maui. It isn't anything fancy, but has all the needed comforts - washer/dryer, full kitchen (dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, fridge w/ ice maker). It obviously hasn't been updated in a while, but everything worked just fine. The bathrooms also are not fancy but functional. If you want a clean, comfortable place with a good pool and conveniently located in Kihei, this will work well for you. Nice staff very clean nice location

We were disappointed at first that the beach was across the road, but that was offset with the wonderful view from our lanai. We felt this place was a great bargain and would definitely stay there again.

Our family spent one night at the Maui Beach Vacation Club, and it was an excellent stay. We had a two bedroom unit which was right off the pool, which was beautiful. Arrivati siamo rimasti choccati! pagando la tariffa classica, e vi assicuro che abbiamo speso molto poco, ci siamo ritrovati in una suite da 70 metri quadri piano terra con piccolo giardinetto fronte piscina! incredibile! invece di una camera avevamo un appartamento completissimo di tutto (dalla frusta per fare le torte alla lavastoviglie). Voto 10 […] alla struttura! Si trova a 3 minuti di macchina dal centro turistico di Kihei e a 15 minuti dall'aeroporto di Kahului. fantastico. un soggiorno da sogno! Unica pecca: il personale della reception è presente solo dalle 8am alle 5pm. Molto disponible comunque, ci hano prenotato un'escursione a Molokini e confermato voli aerei pagando comodamente all'hotel i servizi che avevamo scelto.
