Hotel room was pricey for the size. Bed was poor quality. No air conditioning. Only have french presses, not coffee makers. Didn't even have one in our room, had to go down to get one. Took them three tries before they gave us one that kinda worked (the others had cracks in the cylinder or the seal around the press was broken and let the grounds get […] thru). The TV/DVD player kept shutting off for a few seconds every 20 minutes. Cont. breakfast was a joke. Very little healthy options. The bathroom was tiny and cramped...the toilet was literally 6.5 inches from the wall. No counter space in the bathroom to put out your stuff. Absolutely amazing experience! Got a great deal on a queen suite with fireplace. When we got here, were informed that we'd been upgraded to a king fireplace suite with a jetted tub and a full ocean view! They grind fresh coffee to use in the in room French press, and were really helpful in getting us information about area restaurants. This place was fantastic. When we arrived we were informed of an upgrade to a King Suite with balcony, spa and fireplace. The room was beautiful, the bed was really comfortable and we made great use of the fireplace. Mary, in reception, was the perfect hostess and a great addition to your staff. She was wonderful. The deluxe breakfast was great and […] plenty of options but we would have preferred some scrambled eggs & sausage instead of the biscuits & gravy hot option (not everyone likes gluggy biscuits & gravy, a bit disappointing). The indoor pool & spa, while great, when we walked in had screaming kids all over, including the spa and we left. They do have later hours for adults only but we weren't coming back at 9pm for a quite swim after a long drive and early morning start. "Wonderful night"
The location of this hotel is very convenient. We loved that it was just a short walk to beach access. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. "A+ for effort"
The hotel staff are awesome. They have worked hard to make it a very nice hotel and it shows. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice in everyway except the bathroom. Definitely not a place for claustrophobic people. We found the actual toilet/tub area to be extremely tight. Barely enough room to turn around in. The sink (just outside the bathroom) […] had no vanity. It's just a pedestal sink. The towels were in a wicker basket under the sink and the amenities (hair dryer, tissue, etc) were on a tiered shower caddy under the sink. If you wanted to actually get up to the sink, you had to move the towels. In addition, the parking is inadequate. They have an overflow parking across the street which, in their defense, they do monitor hourly. I just had both knees replaced and my husband had ankle surgery this year so the extra walking was uncomfortable. They only have one elevator and it is on the far side of the hotel. "Over priced and wanting more"
The shower was the smallest I have ever been in. You could barely turn around - you were always getting wet, couldn't step out to suds up. The mattress was well used. The refrigerator was older then the hills. I wanted a balcony, but my reservation didn't say that, so they upgraded me for more money.
