Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Vorzüge des Hotels sind eindeutig: 1.) Die ausgezeichnete Lage für Reisende die möglichst schnell (ca. 200 m zu Fuß) vom Hotel bis zu Check-In Schalter kommen möchten. Wegen der Kürze des Weges geht das sogar zu Fuß bei Regen ohne Schirm! 2.) Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca. 250 m) zum LightRail Link zwischen Flughafen und Seattle Downtown, wobei die Tageskarte ca. 5$ kostet. Fahrtzeit ca. 35 Minuten. Ansonsten war das Hotel älter in der Ausstattung (ungefähr 70er Jahre Bauzeit) mit einigen Upgrades (z.B. zwei neue Flachbildschirme). Das Standard-Zimmer (Bad, Schlafzimmer, Auftenhaltsraum) war sauber. Die Lounch und der Frühstücksbereich des Hotels gepflegt. Das Frühstück war hingegen nur Durchschnitt, so daß man eher in Seattle Downtown frühstücken möchte. Der sehr Nahe gelegene Flughafen bietet diesbezüglich auch nur wenig an. Einzige Kritikpunkte meines Zimmers auf der Seite zum Flughafen war der laute Straßenverkehr des 'Internationl Boulevard' for dem Hotel (der Fluglärm hingegen war gut erträglich). Und die Klimaanlage, welche in Seattle aber selten nötig wäre, wenn man das Fenster öffenen könnte. Das ging zwar mechanisch problemlos, aber bei dem Straßenverkehr-Krach ... Ich würde das Hotel dennoch weiterempfehlen. In der Summe war es rund.

"Hyatt House in Redmond"
This is a fairly new hotel. It is close to the Redmond Town Center. There are some good restaurants nearby. When they found out it was our honeymoon night, they upgraded us to a suite. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Beautiful rooms, beautiful decor and the buffet was amazingly delicious and bountiful! Many thanks, I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends.

"Convenient, clean, and great amenities"
Our family recently stayed here. The bed was SO comfortable and the room was modern and clean. The breakfast each morning was great--omelet bar, cereal, french toast, bacon, and great/strong coffee. We had our toddler with us, so having a full breakfast was great. Trader Joes and a grocery store was across the street--which was helpful for milk, snacks, […] etc. Our room had a full refrigerator and a kitchenette--which was also a great feature for our family. It's 20 mins from downtown Seattle. A a few steps from a nice running/walking path. There is a small pool, workout center and laundry facilities. The weekend rates are great, as I think they mostly cater to a business crowd. Would absolutely return! Mehr

Only real problem were a group of loud-mouthed young goths who made Sunday morning breakfast annoying. Don't know if the location or decor of the hotel attracts such types.
"Weekend Stays"
Due to relocation and looking for a permanent place to live, my family spent quite a number of weekends at this hotel in Dec 2011/Jan 2012. Weekend rates are awesome. Very nice, very convenient - right on the Sammamish River Trail. Suites are great if you have a child or two so you can have a separate bedroom - two TVs help that as well. Kitchen is […] useful if you want to eat in and save some money. Pool is good, and the exercise room is fairly large (I see a lot of these due to significant travel for work). Breakfast is free, and is a full spread of hot food - including omelettes if you're willing to wait a little. Hotel is fairly stylish as well - business center works very well - especially in comparison to others that I've seen. All computers worked well, no complications, printer was working with no issues. Definitely one of the higher values I've seen in hotels (of course, weekend rates). Mehr

I booked this hotel because if the name "Hyatt", they update most of the common area and rooms. My room had an open kitchen with fridge, and the noise came from the fridge made me cannot sleep. The water at the swimming pool contained strong corine, my kids swam for 30 minutes and their skin turned red and got burn.I like the breakfast. "Clean, upscale feeling, but thin walls"
We stayed here during a power outage from the recent snow storm. We wanted a suite so that we could get a decent night's sleep with our toddler in the other room. The room was very nice, felt fairly upscale, especially for the price, with stylish furniture and decorations throughout. The plain (but still clean) bathroom seemed a little incongruous with […] the rest of the suite, but was still adequate. The bed was comfortable, the TVs were decent, overall we felt the price was very good for the overall feel of the place. The staff were friendly at the desk and had a crib in our room when we arrived. The biggest complaint we had was the noise from the upstairs neighbor who was watching TV quite loudly at 1 am. I tried calling the front desk several times to see if they could ask the person to turn down the volume but never got a response. Mehr

Very nice hotel, very convenient to Seattle, Microsoft and surrounding area. I was visiting w/my daughter for the Christmas holiday. I stayed at the Hotel Sierra so I could participate in a bike race. They extended my check-out time so I could get a much needed warm shower afterward. They offered the best continental breakfast that I've ever had at a hotel. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room, considering the price that I paid. I stayed in hotels a lot through out 2011 in different cities. Sierra's comfort, hospitality, ambiance is something far above the rest. It's not one of those big intimidating hotels but definitely one of the most cozy ones. This hotel in Redmond is located so close to so many places of interest to a tourist. "un wanted wake up call"
Great hotel, freindly staff and plenty of parking we will definately be staying here again every month over the coming year. The problem that I encountered was the people staying in the room above us let their child run around and bang on everything from 7:30am to 11:00 am sunday morning which my wife slept through. Beautiful decor! Nice staff! But do not get your hopes up for a made to order omlet. Sunday morning breakfast is from 7-10. When I went to order my omlet the only items left for me to choose from were: Ham, peppers, cheese and onions. Before I knew this I asked for mushrooms and tomatoes - the cook looked at her watch as if I was VERY late.... it was […] 8:20. We stayed here for one night on a family weekend trip to Seattle. Loved all the extras to go with this hotel (free parking, free wifi, free breakfast). Clean and well maintained pool & hottub. Only about 15 minute drive to downtown Seattle. We stayed in deluxe suite which worked out great for our kids. They stayed in the living room (sofabed), and […] we had a full king. "Very reasonable"
We stay in this hotel because our nephew lives across the street and it is convenient for us. The rooms are very large and comfortable and the breakfast (included in the price) is quite good. They are being acquired by Hyatt and I hope that Hyatt will continue to offer the same low rates and high quality that we have enjoyed in the past.

"Very snazzy."
Stayed here for a night recently. The hotel is ultra-hip and modern. Which makes it kind of stand out in otherwise temperate Redmond. Probably a great destination if you're in town for business with Microsoft. Our room was great. Super comfortable bed with nice linens. Added bonus that there was a FULL kitchen with everything you'd need to stay here […] for a week or longer including pots, pans, silverware, a full size fridge, coffee maker AND, best of all, a dishwasher!! My only complaint is that we were here on the same weekend as a kid's soccer tournament. So, the whole place was teeming with the chaos of adolescent soccer players everywhere. Add to that the rudeness of inconsiderate parents and you've got a pretty loud lobby with loud hallways to boot. Great breakfast in the morning - with everything you'd want including an omelet bar. Again, all of the rude, inconsiderate parents with their kids leaving dishes and messes everywhere was a bit of a turn off. Not on the hotel mind you - but on the attitudes of the folks staying there this particular weekend. I felt bad for the staff who had to pick up the mess that everyone left. The hotel itself is great - and for the money, it's a SUPER value for this kind of swank. I'll definitely recommend it to others and I plan to stay there again. However, I'm going to call ahead next time to be sure that there aren't any soccer tournaments going on at the same time. Mehr

"Hotel Sierra Redmond - A Hyatt Hotel"
Weekend getaway for our 11th anniversary to see Seattle couldn't have picked a better place to stay. I think I looked at about fifty places to stay and this is the best choice I could have made. I was trying to please my wife and not break the bank. She was very impressed with everything about the place and she is hard to please. Love the place.
Very nice. The only complaint is that the air conditioning was a little loud.

The Hotel Sierra is a state-of-the-art facility with resourceful rooms (full kitchen in a 1-bedroom!) and well-maintained amenities. The continental breakfast offers hot and cold options and is also well-maintained by the staff. Make sure, however, that you check the hotel's website for the address or have their phone number handy. "A Gem a little too Hidden?"
This truly is a hidden little gem of a hotel! My wife and I were taking an impromptu weekend, so found ourselves over the Columbus Day weekend without a hotel room. We found this great little hotel on a random search, and were pleasantly suprised. The rates were quite reasonable compared to the hotels and B&B's in the area. The room was large, comfortable […] and well-equipped, with the most comfortable hotel bed my wife and I have ever slept on. The room comes complete for a long weekend or extended stay, with a mini-kitchen, with wine glasses, cookware, fridge and dishwasher! Breakfast the next morning was delicious, if a touch chaotic; some minor touches from a hostess to seat people together might make the whole experience better. My only con with the entire stay was finding it to begin with. None of my online searches could find the place, and google maps even failed me. Mehr

This hotel is clean, beautiful and comfortable. The hotel staff are very accomodating and willing to help in any way needed. We stayed here two years ago and loved it. "Pleasantly Surprised"
On short notice we were able to stay an extra night in the Bellevue/Redmond area and found this hotel online. Since it was affiliated with Hyatt and the photos, site, reviews looked good we tried it and were pleasantly surprised. Very contemporary and comfortable. Lovely little patio with fire pit. Nice little bar in the lobby (although it closes at […] 10pm). Our room had a small kitchen with a large fridge, hotplate/cooktop, sink and dishwasher. Bed was very comfortable too. The area is wonderfully quiet. Walking trails are located just outside the door and Redmond Town Center is just a few blocks away with Starbucks, Z Gallerie, and restaurants. And it's a quick (10 minutes) to Bravern and Bellevue Square. We'll stay here again! Mehr

"Hotel Sierra - Great stay"
I don't usually give a perfect rating to hotels but this was really a great stay. We chose the hotel since it was closest to the venue (Marymoor Park) that we drove to from Portland to catch a show. Great room, nice facility and the breakfast was actually good, not just edible. The walk along the river trail to the venue is a little bit longer than […] the staff lead us to believe but it's absolutely doable and a nice stroll. Plan on 30 minutes to the park instead of "15-20" and you'll be fine. The only drawback is the lack of "walkable" nightlife in the neighborhood but plenty of dining options if you're ok with fast food and chain restaurants. The drive in to Seattle the next day was no more than 20 - 25 minutes and that was with a construction delay. I might even consider staying there again the next time we visit Seattle even though it's a short drive away. Mehr

My wife and I just needed a comfortable hotel for one night while visiting Seattle for a Wedding and didn't get in until almost 11:30pm. The hotel was very easy to find and after a very long day, it was really nice to check-in quickly and come "home" to a nice quiet comfortable room. My husband and I needed a quick little get away for a couple nights. Originally we had planned to spend one night in Redmond and the second night in downtown Seattle. After staying in the Hotel Sierra we wished we had planned both nights here and would have changed our second night if we didn't have cancellation penalties. Staff was super nice!
