For a budget hotel, this was fairly nice. Very clean, albeit simple rooms and very close to gran via and sol metros. Not really an ideal street to stay on for a prolonged period, but for a day it was very convenient.

Perfectly placed right next to Gran Via tube station (11 euros will get a couple from Aeropuerto Station to hotel with 8 single tube journeys left to share between you!) and about 3mins walk from Puerte del Sol. Royal Palace, Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, and the unbelievable San Mercado market, are all less than a flat 10min stroll away. The hotel is on […] the 8th floor of a building housing several hostals, but there are a couple of lifts. It's basic inside - just a reception selling cold drinks and beers, but there is a small seating area which has guide books in English if you want to read the Lonely Planet guide etc. The rooms are small, but comfortable. Hot, powerful showers, clean, tidy and fully functioning bathrooms, a comfortable bed with bedside tables, and a desk and wardrobe. The Safe in the room takes 1 Euro each time its opened - so have change to hand. It's not too bad though if you only want to get your cash out of it each morning, then lock away your passport, remaining cash etc until the next day. There is an air-con unit which is very efficient (ask behind reception if they've not left the remote control for it in your room - they keep them behind the desk) and a flat screen TV (which only has Spanish & French channels). It can be a little noisy along the corridors at night, with the Madrid nightlife going on until 6am & so people coming back to their rooms at all hours, but not enough to wake either of us up. The room is cleaned daily with fresh towels provided, something I was amazed at for such a budget price. The tube system is so easy to use - put your ticket through at turnstiles in starting station, pass it back to your partner so they can get through too, with no turnstiles to stamp your card at station exits. Travel as far as you need too for the same price as going 2 stops! Much better than expensive "zone" charging in London where your ticket/Oyster Card is charged by the barriers at the exit station. Couldn't be in a better spot. Rooms were tiny like most in Europe but still fine. Although the pillows were useless. As for the hookers outside yes there were a lot but unless you have extreme American squeamishness it's just fun to watch.

This hotel was very convenient, about 10 steps from a metro stop and walkable to everywhere in central Madrid. The room was comfortable but the walls were paper thin. All I could here was someone snoring every night, but earplugs make it fine. There is wifi in the reception area and although it is a bit of a red light district the neighborhood felt […] very safe. It was busy and close to everything. We never took the metro except from the airport and to the train station to leave. Everything is walkable in 20 minutes or less. Mehr

This is near everything. Even Busses and Metro. We bought a bus pass but we got a ticket but remember the ticket is not for 24hrs its only good up to 01:00 .A.M. We ran out of toilet paper they never gave us a full roll. Only one bar of soap.My bed was soft like the springs were broke on the edge. Counter staff were plenty helpfull. Well after checking in with my girlfriend we noticed that if we were bored that we could look out the window and see how the local prostitutes' business was going for the night. It was really convenient to have a McDonalds right next to the building so if we ever got lost all we had to do was ask for that. Otherwise the hotel room had no AC which […] we knew when booking but in the beginning of October it still needed it since the noise of the ambulance sirens kept us up all night with the window opened. Otherwise it was a great hotel with the exception of the WIFI being only in the lobby, extremely awkward when you wake up the staff at 6am to check to see if you plane flight is on time. Mehr

The location was very convenient. Our triple booked room had 4 single beds and we felt a little cramped. Beds are a bit firm and the pillows are long and skinny, not comfortable! The room lacks coffee/tea facilities. vending machines in the foyer sell poor quality froth coffee. The reception staff not forthcoming and and friendly to guests.

We were warmly greeted by Noella who allowed us to check-in early & actually gave us a larger room for our first of two stays (likely the other rooms were still occupied). The hostel is immaculate. We stayed at a 3 star hotel in Valencia mid-trip which was not nearly as clean and had harder beds. Still, the rooms are modest and the street is loitered […] by prostitutes. However, 3 and 4 star hotels are in this same area for much more offering little less. Convenient location and we felt safe, although the streets sounded rowdy on the weekends after we turned in at about 1am. Weekdays were not nearly as noisy. The front desk provided us with a wake-up call and made reservations for Flamaco for us twice! Internet is free, but spotty at times. We also found this at our Valencia hotel. To our surprise, throughout our 10day experience we found Spaniards do not speak much English, unlike our visits in Switzerland and Italy. We managed fine on my HS Spanish recollections, but bring your dictionary for any special requests. They conveniently sell water, soda, beer, coffee, & chips by reception at regular prices. 24-hr reception. Private bathrooms with new porcelain bath-tubes, small but deep (very rare in economy rooms in Europe). French doors open to overlook the city. LCD TV with remote- but don't expect any English channels. Would highly recommend and stay at again. Take the yellow 24-hr express bus to Plaza de Cibeles & walk the 5 blocks up to the hotel for 2 euro vs. 48 by taxi. Mehr

Upea sijainti, hyvä huone ja palvelu.

Jos haluaa hostelliin ihan Madridin keskustaan halvalla, on tämä hostelli täydellinen valinta, vaikka sisäänkäynti onkin kadulta, jossa on prostituoituja töissä yötä päivää..... Me emme ainakaan kokeneet heitä uhkaavina. Palvelu oli aika tympääntynyttä, mutta eipä me sinne henkilökunnan kanssa jutustelemaan mentykään!

Centrale tanto da rendere superflua la metro. Buono il rapporto qualita prezzo. Aperto 24 ore e personale molto gentile e disponibile. Unico neo lo stazionamento continuo di prostitute in strada.

Mitt i stan, 15 minuter med buss från flygplatsen. Rent och fräscht. Nära till Plaza del Sol och Plaza Mayor. Gångavstånd till mesta. Nästa gång jag åker till Madrid, är det där jag ska bo! Prisvärt!

Hotellet ligger verkligen jättebra till, nära till allt i innerstan. Dock var internetuppkopplingen extremt svajig, den var snabb när den fungerade, sen dog den helt plötsligt för att komma tillbaka en stund senare. Efter att ha sett routern i receptionen såg det ut som det var läge att investera i en ny. Rummet i sig var väl inte ofräscht, men när […] jag kom dit hade dom glömt lägga dit rena handdukar och det stod ett använt engångsglas inne vid handfatet, som städerskan förövrigt fick för sig att stoppa min tandborste i... Personalen var lite halvknackig på engelska men hjälpsamma om man hade frågor. Det ligger en tunnelbanestation precis utanför och det var väldigt smidigt och billigt att ta sig till flygplatsen, trots att 2 byten behövdes. Mehr

Så centralt det går att komma till ett bra pris och med trevlig personal. Inget att klaga på. Rekommenderas!

Hostal con todo lo que se necesita para una agradable estancia en el mismo centro de Madrid. Muy recomendable.

Prisvärt, fantastisk utsikt från 9e våningen. Anländer mitt i centrum (vid Gran Via) när man kliver ut ur porten. Recption öppen dygnet runt med bra service. Toalett och dusch/bad på rummet. Bra lokalisation för ett första besök i huvudstaden.

Mycket bra Hostel. Man får verkligen valuta för pengarna, Ligger centralt och nära till allt. Jag är mycket nöjd 8.5/10 i betyg

目の前が繁華街です。非常に便利です。 ホテルの大きな看板は私は発見できず、ビルの入り口に 何階にホテル何々が、と書いてありましたので、 探すとき参考にしてください。 Wi-Fiについてはホテルの方に相談したら 快く使わせていただきました。

Hotel tranquillo per chi non pretende molto, comodo, pulito vicinissimo alla gran via e alla movida in complessivo sono rimasta molto soddisfatta l'unica pecca sono i letti un po' scomodi

A localização do hotel é excelente. Esquina com Gran Via (avenida principal), ao lado do metrô e de centenas de barzinhos. As prostitutas - muitas - não incomodam mas o local é fervilhante. Próximo a atrações como a Praça do Sol e a Praça Maior. O problema do hotel são os quartos muito pequenos e que não parecem muito limpos. O meu ficava um andar abaixo, […] sem elevador. A tv de l4 polegadas inviabiliza asssitir. O atendimento é precário e a internet free muito lenta. Mehr

Hotel muito bem localizado, precisa de actualização e de modificar os suportes dos duches. Boa relação preço qualidade.

Buena relación calidad - precio. Ubicado al lado de la estación de metro de la Gran Vía, limpio. Habitaciones disponibles aun en la JMJ. Lo unico malo, el WIFI no funcionaba siempre, sobretodo en las noches.

El Hotel está en un octavo piso, el asensor es sumamente pequeño pero funciona. La limpieza muy buena, la ubicación al ser en el corazón de Gran Vía en las noches puede llegar a ser un poco ruidoso las habitaciones con ventana a Gran Vía. Calle Montera es la calle de Madrid donde se colocan las prostitutas, por lo que para entrar al Hotel es inevitable […] encontrárselas. Estación de metro frente a la entrada del Hotel, cómodo para transladarse en Madrid. Mehr

ottimo hotel per posizione, buona pulizia

Ottima posizione: hotel centrale e vicinissimo alla metro. Quartiere rumoroso (è la Gran Via!!) ma l'hotel è all'ottavo piano e quindi a finestre chiuse non ci sono problemi. Molto pulito e confortevole. Lo consiglio!
