the receptionist didn't know the distance from their hotel to the airport. I think its important for the hotel staff to know this. else the experience has been good

Free breakfast, even though with a limited variety of meals, was a definitely an excellent bonus!

the room, location, and hotel were all nice. The only problem was a big one. The rooms have some type of climate control system that allow you to change the temperature but you don't really have control. My room would fluctuate between hot and cold all night making for a very uncomfortable night.

This is a good , middle-of-the-road hotel, that I use in an emergency when the nicer downtown hotels are full with conventions, etc. It's close to downtown, but there it's any dining facilities in the hotel. Overall, it's just an average hotel.

There are tons of hotels to choose from in the Houston Area. If you are looking for 2star(no pool, good exercise room, adequate breakfast) I recommend this hotel as it is new, clean and has an excellent price point. They have free parking. It is a 6 minute drive the the downtown convention center which is why I choose to stay here. Highway driving in […] Houston is not for the faint of heart and a GPS is extremely useful if you are not very familiar with the area. Other than the "Performance Mustang Car" dealership less than a block away there is nothing interesting to walk to. You must have a car (I did not check the bus route) however. Summary: Pros: Friendly easygoing staff All areas of the building are very clean and new. Smoke free facility. Beds are comfortable with lots of pillows Free easy to use internet Bathrooms were very nicely done. Free parking. Easy access to I-45 6 minutes to downtown convention center by car. Good climate control. Cons: Moderate highway noise (front room) Cannot open the windows. Free breakfast is OK and basic. Nothing interesting to walk too except to see the Mustang !! The hotel was very clean and seemed to be brand new. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms had everything we needed...ie: iron, hair dryer, coffee maker, fridge, etc....

Checked in on a Saturday and found it unusual to be one of only two or three cars in parking lot. Free continental breakfast included 4 day old yogurt & bugs crawling in the waffle batter. Bed sheets laid outside room next door the entire time we were there. Room served it's purpose, was a very comfortable night sleep in a very comfy bed.

It was a little out of the way if you're wanting to go downtown. But it was fine...breakfast was good.

Everything about our stay at the Inn was excellent. The Inn was close to everything we wanted to see and do. The front desk associated were excellent. They were very informative and helpful. The breakfast was exfcellent. Coffee was excellent. Our stay was excellent.

Great lodging, many amenities, complimentary hot breakfast. Very reasonable rates. We'll stay there again.

This hotel is clean and friendly and close to downtown Houston

This is an ok hotel, however; be warned, there is no security in the parking lot. Had vehicle attempted to be stolen directly in front of the hotel front door, with their supposely security camera's being monitored, throughout the night and security driving thru the lot. Thief's had enough time to drive driver's lock into the door frame with a unknown […] object, where lock was completely missing. Yes, Lock completely gone. Contacted Management about situation, they will NOT return phone calls since April 29, 2011. Mehr

this is my second sleep inn stay and I like them both. the one in kansas was further from the hiway you might want to ask for a room away from the hiway as I45 gets busy at about 5:00 am

I loved my room and I was there for 10 days attending a training. The breakfast was good. The area around the motel was a bit run down but I felt safe as a female traveling alone. Great price!

This hotel is near some of the best Mexican Restaurants in Houston! Great hotel and great staff. Near all the businesses (within 10 minutes) I had to go to during my stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was clean, quiet, great Internet hook-up.

nice hotel, good value. room was beyond my expectations for cleanliness and functioning amenities.

We had a great experience here at the Sleep Inn and Suites in Downtown Houston the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and I had a great view of my car from the room. They offer FREE wifi, continental breakfast, and parking. This was extremely convienent as we had very busy mornings. This was a trip to see the Aeros play with my 14 and 4 year old boys. Everything was quite nice. Clean. Comfortable. Arguably a very good value. Hotel was indeed on a busy highway, but noise was not intrusive. It also was in a not-so-great part of town, but the facility was secure, and the parking lot well lit. Easy access to downtown. It is nice hotel, located 5 mins north from Houston downtown. The neighborhood is poor, but quiet, and I had no problems walking and driving there. The hotel's parking lot has a security. Few minor issues though: the internet access was sporadic and water in the tab did not smell right one day during my stay.

I was extremely happy with the service and friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I was also extremely satisfied with the comfort and amenities in the room. My only complaint is that the location is not in the best part of town; however, given its gated perimeter around the hotel and parking lot (which was also well lit) and the interior corridors, […] I felt completely safe staying there by myself. This is a new, clean, very nice hotel. But if I were alone I would not have stayed here because of the neighborhood. They have taken great measures to ensure your safety once inside.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Our GPS could not locate exact address, (perhaps b/c it is new)so I called hotel for help. The young lady was extremely helpful, and helped me find my way. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the same very pleasant young lady. We asked her if she could give us directions to Robertson Stadium. She went above […] and beyond, and decided to print us out a map along with directions for our convenience. I was EXCITED to know that ALL rooms were smoke free. It is obvious that the rooms were decorated and adorned to make you feel like you are in a high-end hotel while keeping prices at a minimum. Location was awesome. Right off I-45..a couple exits to get to downtown, and in other direction to galveston. Will definitely come back, and have already recommended to many. Mehr

The hotel was only a month old when we stayed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were terrific since they were so new, and the beds, pillows were extremely comfortable. We'd stay there again on our next visit.

This hotel was brand new -- had only been completed a month prior to our visit. So it was very, very clean. The staff was quite friendly. We would definitely stay here again when visiting our relatives in Houston.
