This hotel had it all! Great location, beautiful rooms! I will stay here any time I am in New Orleans! The only slight downside is that they will only clean your room once a week.

I was surprised to learn that the room is not made up every day. Had I been warned in advance, it would not have been as much of a problem. The service is generally poor and the staff does not seem to grasp the concept of customer service. Everything is too slow and difficult. Small rooms but cute, nice and beds were comfortable.

I loved this hotel and would highly recommend! It was in the heart of the french quarter yet quiet at night which is a rarity. The room was apartment-style with a kitchen and pull-out sofabed, and two tvs. Very stylish and very comfortable. Definitely would stay here again.

The hotel was truly New Orleans style - funky, intimate and inviting! The decor was fabulous and included local artwork and incredible iron work in the lobby. The rooms were simple and stylish. The hotel is small and fairly quiet (rare for NOLA). More like an apartment than a hotel room, which I loved! The beds we comfortable (even the sofa bed was okay) and the room was extremely clean. The room had a microwave/convection oven, a dorm size refrigerator and a sink that came in very handy! Hotels.com was very helpful with finding a hotel for 10ppl 3 weeks before we were set to go to mardi gras and they were able to give me a discount on the room as well. The last hotel we booked (Frenchmen hotel) had increased their prices dramatically at the last minute and I cancelled my reservation there. La pension was such a pretty, clean and very […] New Orleans styled hotel! Loved the decor it represented the city perfectly. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The only thing is that housekeeping didn't give enough towels or toilet paper and were hard to get a hold of. Other than that we had a great stay. We had a wonderful time at this hotel for the two days before our cruise. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous, lots to visit within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

Well, I am reluctant to give an outstanding review of our hotel we recently stayed at. The photos we saw showed a big windows which ours had a tiny bunker style window which leaked during the night from the rain wetting some of my things and the Internet connection was weak. The ONLY down side of our stay was that our room was not serviced while we were there. We had to call down and ask for towels and coffee. The were then promptly brought up.

1 BR suite provided nice sitting room as a place to relax and visit. We were told that it was a "queen" bed. It was not. It was a "full" bed at best. It was ok for us, but if you really need a large bed, book a "king" suite or perhaps find another hotel. Laundry facilities broke down while we had stuff in washer. We were impressed! From the start, the staff was personable, accommodating, and fun. They recognized us after the first night and someone even introduced themselves when they didn't. Overall this was a nice property but not a 4-5 star hotel I thought I was paying for to meet a star standard. I would definitely stay here again. It was a great value and had beautiful amenities. My only complaint is we were right next to the elevator and it interrupted our sleep. When we mentioned it at checkout, they had earplugs available for use. Next time, i think I'll make sure my room is not located next to elevator. It was great. It had recently been renovated. It was spacious. The bed was great. The shower was superb. It has a kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, and small refrigerator. It was nicely decorated. I wish I could rent a two bedroom one for Christmas break.

The hotel looks newly renovated. I loved the decorations and the gray hues of the room. It is literally 30 seconds away from the Red Line Trolley Decatur stop so we actually took the express bus from the airport. It is a couple of blocks away from Bourbun Street which is nice since it's quite when you want to finally go to sleep; and with the trolley […] stop so close you can just take that to Bourgun street. The room had a good sized living room, fully stocked kitchen (great for a family), and both living room and bedroom has a flat screen TV; not that you have much time to watch that in NOLA. I found the bed to be super comfortable. I would really recommend this hotel to anyone, and we will be coming back here on our next trip to NOLA. Mehr

Great (tho not cheap) place to stay when visiting the French Quarter in NO. Very convenient to everything and has a bunch of original flair as compared to modern hotels. We wished tho we'd had an exterior facing room with a balcony - we were on the 4th floor and opened out to the roof and not the street where the action is. Great hotel! Rooms were very nice and spacious. All rooms are suites. We easily slept 4 adult men in a one bedroom suit. Location was great. Right around the corner from Bourbon street which was perfect for us since we were on a bachelor party. The staff was also extremely courteous and helpful. The room was recently renovated and very fresh and clean. The suite included a sitting room, kitchenette area, bathroom and a bedroom. The kitchenette was equipped for an extended stay---dishes and tableware. Location was excellent---just off Canal Street near the river front and on the edge of the French Quarter. The photos of the hotel on Expedia are not at all what the hotel looked like but it's the same style. We didn't get fresh towels, there is no ice machine, the staff socializes too much with the guests making you wait far too long for anything you need. Expedia says there is a spa, there isn't one. Expedia says there is a limousine/town car service, […] there isn't. The cab fare from the airport is $33. The room was flawless & stylish. There are flat screen tv's, a balcony, a fully furnished kitchen included dishes, silverware, a microwave that allows the use of metal, toaster, coffee pot, everything except a dishwasher & stove. There is a separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room. The artwork is consistent with French Quarter culture. There is no tub, it is a very large wonderful shower. The shampoos etc is Bath and Body Works, there is ac & a ceiling fan, it's more like an apartment than a hotel. The bedroom came with an IHome alarm clock & a safe. It is on the corner of Decatur & Canal. It's walking distance from Burbon St, Huck Finn's, Joan of Arc Statue, St. Louis Cemetery 1. Cab fare anywhere in the French Quarter is $10 max. BUT we were there during the Essence Festival so that stops traffic. Avoid being there during festivals. There is valet but we didn't use it. The hotel is beautiful & romantic. Families can stay there but it's better for couples or singles. The front door is thin, you can hear everything from outside the door. The walls are not thin. Mehr

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Excellent staff, very clean, right on the fringe of the French Quarter. Another reviewer wonder about late check in. That problem no longer exists.

We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay ! We wanted comfort, cleanliness and location that was in the French Quarters. It is may be our last "family" vacation because our 3 girls are graduating from college soon. The condo/appt was exceptional giving us the luxury of two separate bedrooms, pull out couch in the living room and a kitchen facility […] where we could get by with making breakfast and lunches and then have a great meal out at one of the great restaurants within walking distance. The staff was beyond helpful, offering up suggestions for attractions to see and giving us directions on how to get there. The lady at the front desk, Charmaine , was so helpful and made us feel like she truly wanted our stay to be the best vacation ever. Room was clean, beds comfortable and they would daily come by to pick up trash, provide towels, and do whatever was necessary to make your stay great. I will definitely stay here on our next trip to New Orleans. Could not be more pleased with the accomodations. Mehr

Good hotel. We were in a two room suite. The only issues were difficulty logging onto wireless, lack of housekeeping (they only emptied garbage and replaced towels.... No making beds, no replacing coffee etc). Excellent location.

I thought the hotel was exactally what was described. I would probably stay there again if the price was right. There are several hotels in the immediate area and truthfully for location any of them would do. I thought parking was very expensive and would probably not drive to New Orleans again. EVERYTHING is in walking distance.

We were relieved at the warm welcome we received when we arrived after midnight. When we walked into our room, we were delighted with the decor, comfort, and amenities. The hotel is perfectly located on the less noisy edge of the French Quarter, within walking distance of the conference centers, French Market, the Aquarium, and the river walk offering […] lunch and dinner cruises and ferry crossings. Plantation tours vans and many other attraction transportation will pick you up at the hotel. The other guests were obviously enjoying their time, too, as we interacted in the elevator and halls.We will head straight for the Bluegreen La Pension in New Orleans next time we visit and so will our friends once we tell them about our lovely stay.
