Hilton Reading Hotel - Reading

Hotel was stunning, service was great, rooms very stylish and clean. Breakfast was excellent, would def recommend this hotel.

Had to view the Bayeux Tapestry in Reading Museum - nearest decent std hotel the Hilton has excellent std, including pool and gym, we chose it. Quality of room and overall std excellent, included parking. Would use again.

Great hotel, helpful staff + good food. All you could ask for.

Westayed at this hotel while visiting our daughter in Reading. We were delighted with the quality and facilities. Staff were friendly and efficient. An excellent base to visit London. Reading is a great shopping centre too

I only stayed briefly, but it was comfortable, easy to work in and had receptive staff. Well positioned for a pre-heathrow stay as its a lot better than most of the Heathrow Hotels and worth the extra drive. No use if working with public transport

We stayed at the Hotel for 2 nights over the New Year and had a lovely stay. From our arrival the staff were all incredibly polite and friendly. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! From the full English, to the continental, the freshly made omelettes, to the pancake machine, the selection of smoothies to the […] whisky supplied for your porridge! I have already recommended this hotel to family and hope to stay there again myself. If just for the breakfast! Mehr

Very nice stay with friendly staff and a very good room. For once the matress was comfortable in a hotel. Great facilities included, swimming pool nice and the steam rooms. Excellant breakfast in the morning, I certainly made my dent in the buffet style serving. Thank you for a nice stay.

The Hilton Reading is a very nice hotel if money is no object, and you are motorized: 1. Besides a relatively expensive room price (maybe to be expected from a Hilton), the outrageous part is the high fee for Internet use (it should be free at that price in 2011!!!) and for the breakfast not included; 2. Everything about this hotel was wonderful, from hotel, dining, staff, room, parking - and then there was the bed. I felt like I was sleeping on a bed of straw and springs. It sounded like straw and springs when I moved on it! It was not wholy uncomfortable but it's bad enough to share and suggest to management that they consider changing styles next […] room refitting. Yes, I'm an American and prefer western beds but I've lived in the EU for the past 10 years and am used to European bedding as well. This style of matteress just has to go. Mehr

For business this a excellent hotel, very efficient ,fresh+modern and is one of the better Hilton in the UK. Of the many rooms I've stayed they are all ultra clean and none suffer with noise issues when the AC is turned off/low. Food prices are high but the quality is excellent(still not great VFM). underground parking is handy but about £10 per night. […] Quality of staff/service is also very high. Mehr

What can I say?!! Well all I can say is this was a fantastic hotel to stay! We went to Essex to purchase a new car and found this hotel a very convenient location. Myself and my fiance have stayed in many hotels and many lovely hotels, this being one of them! Beautifully kept hotel, lovely rooms, superbly comfortable LUSH bed!! I was suffering from […] a bad back and had not slept properly for 2 nights but on this particular night, I slept amazingly well, worthy every penny. The breakfast the following morning was second to none, so much choice and variety! I loved the pancake machine, yum yum! The staff were extremely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Hotel was excellent, apart from: the swimming pool being closed Sunday morning for private lessons and no where to walk in the immediate area.

My husband and I stayed here on Saturday night and I honestly cannot fault it. The bed was absolutely huge and really comfy, the room was exceptionally clean and the breakfast buffet was incredible! Pastries, yoghurts, pancakes, cheese, ham, fruit, 100 different types of bread plus a full fry up. Lush! Pool, sauna, steam room & gym included as well […] - all very nice. One tip though - our Satnav is out of date & I think the hotel is quite new because apparently the postcode didn't exist! My satnav kept taking me to the back of the hotel where there was no access, so I spent an hour driving around trying to find a hotel that was only a mile away. Take written directions don't rely on the postcode unless you have checked that your satnav recognises it before you leave home! I would definitely go back to the Hilton - highly recommended. Mehr

Stayed at the Hilton for business, near to Green park which was ideal and also fairly close to the city centre. Hotel was still at the fairly new stage so everything looked spotless, rooms were good size and the bed was one of the most comfy I have slept in for a long time. There was some problems with the underground car park so had to park it in an […] outside one that was a good walk from the entrance, espcecially when it was chucking it down, windy and you didn't have a umbrella or coat and was in your suit! Great hotel - excellent, helpful staff, great room, very comfy bed, lovely breakfast choices. The staff coped well with the needs of Festival attenders - hoses to clean your welllies and bags to put them in, but didn't get precious about mud in hallways - just cleaned it up. Bus links into town good BUT no buses on Sunday - easy cab access though.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at the Reading Hilton, The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast delicious and plentiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's a bit of a treck from the Festival site, but after 12 hours standing in a field, the thought that we were going back to that lovely room, kept us going […] ! Mehr

I visited Reading green Park on business and The Reading Hilton is located just a few minutes walk from Green Park. I found it to be an excellent hotel with excellent service. The hotel restaurant was a very positive experience as well.

Our stay at the Hilton was absolutely fantastic. It was in close proximity of the football so we were able to park before the game and walk to avoid extra parking charges. The bed was the comfiest I have had in a hotel and the room was very large for a double. Extra touches such as the wine bucket and ice machine by the lift were fantastic and it was […] nice to have a bath instead of a shower which is now standard in most hotel rooms. Even the television was surprisingly large for a hotel room. Breakfast buffet was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the omelette made to order as well as the machine that made fresh pancakes. To top off a lovely stay the pool and sauna/steam rooms was fantastic and had we had time I'm sure we would have made it into the gym as well Mehr

I stayed at this hotel 1 night for business in Reading.i got a great rate! There isn't much around the hotel, but quite frankly you don't really need to leave it. Already booked up for my next business trip to reading

excellent - stay at hotel regularly - still looks fresh and new!

Great hotel just on outskirts of the city but only 10min drive to the Oracle shopping centre with its restaurants and cinema. Hotel itself was brilliant. The breakfast buffet was the highlight with traditional english breakfast plus danish pastries, pancakes and a massive selection of fresh fruit and nuts. Only slight disappointment was that the room […] didnt have a shower cubicle but a shower over the bath. Little things. Mehr

Wanted to stay close to Heathrow for a flight to Australia This Hotel was a bargain and would cost three times as much if closer to London Top class in every way and we have stayed in 5 star in Berlin and Barcelona on this Trip Regards

Excellent business hotel which seems to be fairly new. The rooms are excellent, restaurant food was nice and the spa/gym/swimming pool very handy. The only downside is that there nothing of interest that surrounds this hotel that is of walking distance.

The service in this hotel is Excellent. Friendly caring staff cater to your every need. Location good. Quality of food, linen and ammenities far exceeded my expectations. This is a 5 star hotel. The staff make the differernce.

Be prepared to be spoiled at this hotel. My stay was started by a friendly front desk welcome and no problem with an early check-in. The housekeepers are excellent . I left instructions how I wanted my room and it was completed that way for my entire stay of 19 days. The amenities and linens are of high quality. The room was very spacious and comfortable. […] The housekeeping supervisor checked with me twice during my stay to make sure everything was alright. The hotel has buss service right outside the hotel every day except Sunday. Even then you can take a five minute walk to a buss line that takes you to the train station. The breakfast is AWESOME !!!! The dining room staff are very friendly and helpful. One of them brought me a buss schedule. The food is of a high quality and have a fantastic variety. Fresh fruit is on the breakfast bar, along with yogurt, cereals, bagels, fresh baked breads, eggs , sausage, mushrooms, pancakes, bacon and so many other items. I never ate in the dining room other than breakfast. I did entertain for tea on two occasions in the lounge and found the service excellent. The view from my room was great. A small stream runs along the property and swans go up and down the stream. You may also eat outside weather permitting. The health club was very clean and open 24 hours. This hotel is excellent in every area. It deserves to be right up there with the best of the worlds hotels. You will be making a mistake if you don't choose this hotel for your stay in Reading. Mehr

I stayed at the hotel over the weekend with a colleague for business and was overall very impressed. We arrived mid day on Saturday and parked the car in the underground parking ( which was a little tight to manoeuvre for my 4x4 but managed nevertheless). We worked in the spacious lobby and the hotel staff were very helpful with providing power points […] and extensions for our laptops. The gym was simple but adequate for a business workout and the breakfast buffet area and food was to a high standard. Especially the fresh coffee and the squeezed orange juice. The environment was lovely to work in and we shall be doing this again in the near future. Mehr

We have just stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and been thoroughly spoiled - staff excellent - only ate breakfast there but to be honest it was that good we didn't need much else until evening time. We took our grandson swimming in the indoor pool and the facilities are first class. Would definitely go back there.

An overnight stopover between engagements. Was an excellent stay - although my satnav had some problems finding the hotel.

the hotel was fantastic very close to city centre. clean & quiet. my only dissapointment was the leisure facilities i booked this hotel for the relaxing pool area but there was only 1 broken sun lounger to sit on when you come out from the steam & sauna to let your body cool down. no other relaxing facilities, the water tap on pool side is broken and […] the sauna bucket leaks the water you fill it up with to make the sauna a better experience. dissapointing. i did put a complaint card in on checkout but 1 week later and no-one from the hilton has called to discuss this matter so i thought i would let you make up your own mind. Hotel ideally situated on A33 just off Junction 11 M4 - easy to find. Ample free underground secure parking. Football staduim within walking distance - high street about 7 min drive. Excellent breakfast, even provide hot pancakes !! Clean, modern, bright hotel with good size rooms.

Hotellet ligger relativt lang fra alt. Skal man ha det stille og rolig, passer det perfekt. Vil man noe annet enn å spise middag på selve må man påberegne seg taxi fra/til hotellet. Jeg tok taxi til hotellet fra den sentrale buss stasjonen, og det kostet 8 pund - november 2011.

Hyvä ja siisti hotelli ja palvelu. Sijainti hieman kaupungin ulkiopuolella, josta taksilla keskustaan n 5..10 min, mutta kävellen n 45 min. Suorastaan erinomainen aamupalapöytä.
