Opera Suites greatly exceeded my expectations. With the ideal location and reasonable price, I expected bare bones, perhaps a bit of noise, perhaps a few things broken. None of this was the case. The room was clean and tasteful, the bed comfortable. Also my room (115) was not facing the street, but the window opened onto a courtyard between buildings, […] which meant that it was unbelievably quiet. Opera suites is a wonderful find! It's a small cozy place that's one block from the Staatsoper. The staff is friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable and quiet. I will definitely return.

This hotel suited us well. Finding it and getting to reception is slightly interesting, with a small street frontage and tiny elevator to take you to the 2nd floor. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Our room was very adequate and clean, though on the small side. It was at the back so was fairly quiet and we could open the window. The location […] is outstanding - opposite the Opera House and easy walking distance to the Musikverein, museums, Hofburg Palace, and the underground to get out to Schonbrunn Palace. Superb location, but even better was the level of service - faultless!

Pros - these old rooms were charming with nice, old decor and high ceilings. The large windows opened for fresh air. It is in a very central and convenient location. The staff were nice and helpful whenever we had questions. Cons - the locks were a bit challenging to use and the lift/elevator is very small. I should start by saying that I NEVER write reviews! But I was so impressed that I feel I owe it to the Opera Suites Vienna! We arrived at the hotel and were a little concerned by the entrance - which is between two stores (one of which was a Starbucks, so at least we knew we could get coffee!) but needn't have worried. We were delighted by the hotel […] - best described as having the feel of a Parisienne apartment (I believe this was an apartment building originally) High ceilings, panelled doors and fine furniture in the small library. Reception is on the second floor and so there are some stairs to climb but there is also a small lift. Anita made us feel very welcome as we arrived very late on Friday night and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful throughout our weekend stay - happy to chat and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The rooms were lovely - spotlessly clean with coffee machine and mini bar. The bathroom was as new (although there's a shower rather than a bath!). The hotel is positioned in the pedestrianised area just across the road from the Opera House (where you can get tickets for 3.50 Euros if you go an hour before a performance - on every day - and if you are prepared to stand) and 150 yards from the main cathedral. Central location - but quiet. It just couldn't have been better. Our weekend was a birthday treat - my partner and I taking my brother and his wife away. It was really important to us that we got the right balance between price, comfort and location when chosing our hotel. We certainly got lucky with the Opera Suites! I have travelled lots around Europe and Scandinavia on business and have experienced some very ordinary hotels at high prices, but this was one of the best hotel experiences I have enjoyed. Being an older family owned hotel we were treated like family. The owner and staff were so helpful to any requests we made. Our room was comfortable and warm and the features in it helped make our stay outstanding. This is where I'll stay again in Vienna.

After researching many reviews of hotels, we picked this one and it was definitely a good choice for us. Very clean, modern bathroom but room and outer lobby had a wonderful historic and cozy feel to it. Location was near all of the major attractions and metro was close and easy to use. Other reviewers mentioned that the walls were thin. That was true […] and we had a crying baby next to us, but we were so tired from sightseeing that it didn't really bother us. Also our room faced the street, but we liked that because we could see the beautiful Christmas lighting. The family member who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Nespresso machine in room was nice added touch. We would definitely stay there again if we ever have the chance to return to this beautiful and interesting city. Mehr

If you expect a big swanky reception area, this isnt for you, but it has several things going for it. Great location right on Karntnerstrasse, taxi stand and metro seconds away, atmospheric furnishings redolent of an old Viennese apartment (which the building otherwise would be), nice staff, and not least, free wi-fi. As many other reviews point out, this Hotel is indeed perfectly located in the center of town, across the street from the Hotel Sacher and the Vienna State Opera, a short walk from many great sights, the subway, trams, and located in a pedestrian zone. We did not have any difficulty finding the hotel the way some guests have reported--it is very clearly […] marked. The service in the hotel is impeccable--friendly, generous, helpful. The staff go out of their way consistently. The room was immaculate. We chose a superior double rather than a double, and we found the size of the room was great. The bathroom was especially large and comfortable (fabulous shower), and the bathrobes were a nice addition. The free WiFi worked perfectly and the Nespresso machine was a nice to have. The room had an air conditioning unit, and was well heated (it was November). In addition the staff had fruit, coffee, and mineral water available to guests in the reception area, and we had a refrigerator in the room. We ordered the breakfast on one day of the seven we stayed, and found it excellent and slightly less expensive than equivalent breakfasts in nearby cafes. However I would recommend visitors to breakfast at local cafes for the experience of the place. I have only one concern that applies to ANY hotel (including far more expensive ones like the Sacher) that are located on or directly off the Kärntnerstrasse. On the weekends especially the street can be noisy until late, and in the mornings, delivery trucks often arrive early. With the windows closed this was not a problem, but I can imagine that for some travelers this might be an issue. I would advise those people to choose to stay in a different part of town, since the Opera Suites is no better or worse in this regard than all the hotels in the neighborhood. I have stayed at many of them, and Opera Suites was by far the best value. It was a delightful place to spend a week in Vienna. Mehr

Excellent vrry centrally located hotel. We stayed in a triple room and the room was a good size. Room was facing the street which can get noisy due to being so centrally located but room had double glazing (I normally sleep with ear plugs when I travel so I wasn't bothered my 2 friends slept like logs with no ear plugs). We were a 3mins walk from the […] famous Hotel Sacher so we would have sacher torte late at night then head back to hotel to sleep. Best time of day to avoid queues for sacber torte at the hotel sacher is 10pm onwards. Hotel room and lobby equipped with free nespresso. Shower powerful and reception very friendly and helpful. We skipped breakfast at the hotel... You are in Vienna land of beautiful cafes! Go to Cafe Central or Cafe Mozart for delicious coffees and food. Hotel highly recommended I would definately stay there again excellent overall experience. I was responsible for choosing the hotel for this trip and my 2 other friends very extremely happy with the hotel too. Hotel is quite small and I walked past it twice before I noticed the little sign that indicated where the actual hotel was. The staff is very friendly and the room allthough not very big, was clean and practical. The rooms have WiFi, a good coffee machine and WiFi. The best thing though is the location. Room was adequate size, bathroom was tiny. Located just off the small reception area and that was a bit uncomfortable for us. Beds were fine but not particularly nice. Very quiet, however, despite being located on the Kartner Strasse pedestrian area. Not quite enough luxury for us. Definitely a 3 star.

This was my second stay at Opera Suites, and I can still recommend just as highly as I did after my first stay there. I had a different room this time, but it was still just as good. The staff is the best, the rooms are nice, clean, and comfortable, and the location is perfect.

Overall, we were very satisfied with the location and condition of the hotel. Small room but clean and fortunately with A/C. People at the desk were friendly and accommodating. Hotel was hard to find as the entrance is hidden in back of an entrance to a jewelry store.

Great location but can be a bit tricky to find since it is on a pedestrian only street and has a very small sign. The room was very nice and the hotel had nice amenities such as a free drink, apples, etc.

OPERA SUITES IS NO HOTEL AND WHERE THE 4 STARS CAME FROM IS A MISTERY. WE STAYED IN ROOM 222 THAT ENTERED DIRECTLY FROM RECEPTION, EVERY GUEST VISITING RECEPTION, PHONE CALL, ETC WERE CLEARLY HEARED. This hotel has a great location. The room was VERY small. I would not have given it 4 stars. That being said, the location right across from the Stadtsoper could not have been better.

Very nice hotel. The room, though a bit small, has a compact kitchenette where u can make Nespresso coffee as well as prepare breakfast and simple meals. Gourmet supermarket nearby. The hotel is right opposite to the Vienna State Opera and one can easily stroll across the street for ballet and opera. Don't be disappointed to see tickets sold out....keep […] on checking the official website, there's always cancellation and last minute tickets. Magnificient location in one of Vienna most nice walking streets, right in front of the opera. 5 minutes walk form the Dom. Definetly will come back. Great helpfull staff.

Opera Suites is only about 50 ft from the Karlsplatz UBahn stop which is a transfer station for 3 of the 4 UBahn lines. It is also about a 1 minute walk to the 1 and 2 Trams to take you around The Ring. It's right on Kartnerstrasse which is the main shopping, pedestrian street that leads to St. Stephan's Cathedral (about a 6 minute walk). You have to enter through a small lobby that looks uninviting but once you get to the 2nd floor, the hotel is very well kept and has a great staff. The room was small but the bathroom is a good size and very well updated with waterfall showerheads and granite vanity. Small fridge and espresso/tea kettle in the room. Very convenient in the morning. It was in a very busy and safe area and as a solo traveler I always felt safe entering late in the evening and in the surrounding areas. It's right in the middle of everything so any rooms that face the street may be noisy but I was on the back of the building and heard nothing. I would highly recommend staying here because of it's conveience to the Hofburg Palace Complex and the Karlsplatz transit stop. Mehr

This was a fantastic hotel. It is a B&B on the corner opposite the Opera and across from the Sacher Hotel cafe, and two blocks from the subway, which was a perfect location. My room, a single, had plenty of room for me and my things. It had a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and a nice, large bathroom. The room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. […] It was exactly as described in the description. It was quiet. I heard no noise from outside the room, even though my room was right off of the lobby. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I cannot recommed this hotel highly enough. I was in Vienna by myself for a vacation, and, being a woman, I felt safe at all times in the hotel, neighborhood, and city in general. Mehr

Unbeatable location at an excellent price across from the Stadtopera and near the home of the Philharmonic. Walking distance to the Habsburb palaces and museums. Across the street from Sacher Hotel (of (overrated) Sachertorte fame) and around the corner is Bristol Hotel, both ultra-expensive and relatively poor-value addresses. Taxi access is limited […] as the block in front of the apartment-hotel is pedestrian only. Recommend walking up to one of the patisseries in the pedestrian area for breakfasts rather than the cafes immediately around the apartment-hotel. They are better for lunches or dinners. Mehr

The rooms were elegant and spacious and the bathroom was the best during our time in Europe. The shower has two heads, including a rain forest shower head, which is pure luxury. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows and blankets were great. The in-room espresso machine was very much appreciated and stocked every day. The hotel is small […] (24 rooms) and is privately owned. The owner offers excellent customer service. Overall the Hotel opera Suites was a memorable experience. The only negative was the entrance – the hotel occupies three floors above a storefront and must be accessed by a very small elevator or a stairway that does not make a good first impression, which is quickly overlooked when you see the room. The hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of all the major points of interest (St Stephan’s Cathedral, Opera House, Palace, etc.), but it is more of a bed & breakfast than a hotel. It only has 24 very nice rooms that are located on the third and fourth floors of a commercial building over retail stores – it is easy to miss because […] there is only a small sign inside the entrance, and like a B & B, if you arrive after 6:00pm, you must call a local number to check in. The only negative about the Opera Suites is the unattractive entrance and stairway (there is a small elevator). Once you are in your room, you should love it as we did! The room was elegant and spacious - we loved the modern and luxury class bathroom! The large walk-in shower features a rain forest shower head as well as a second shower head, which is pure luxury. In addition the beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows and duvet blankets were goose down. We liked them so well that we bought the same kind at a local Vienna shop and had them shipped home. The in-room espresso machine was very much appreciated and stocked every day. The hotel is privately owned and Markus, our host, provided excellent customer service. They serve breakfast in the room for a modest additional fee. We will stay again if we return to Vienna. Mehr

利便性と皆さんの評価が高いので決めました。 夜到着したため、予習をしていったにもかかわらず場所がわかりにくかったです。オペラ座裏はす向かい、スタバと貴金属店の間の奥まったドアが入口です。部屋は天井が高くゆったりしていました。試しに朝食を頼んだら、ルームサービスで、ドンと豪華に持ってきてくれて感激です。スタッフの方々も気持ちのいい応対をしてくれました。どこに行くにも便利なので、また機会があったら是非泊まりたいと思います。

Plutot qu'un hotel, il s'agit de quelques chambres reparties en 2 appartements dans un immeuble. Pas de salle a manger, pas de bar, reception seulement en journée. Ceci dit, les chambres sont confortables, propres, equipées WIFI et coin cuisine, et l'immeuble est tres bien situé. Gestion familiale.

オペラ座のすぐ裏。地下鉄やトラムの駅からも近い。町歩きに疲れたらカフェではなく、ホテルに戻るって感じで過ごしました。フロントは３階、部屋は２階なのでアパートメントみたいに、基本的に誰にも会わずに過ごせ、気が楽です。部屋の清掃は普通のホテルと同じようにしてくれます。フロントは１８時までなので到着時刻は事前にホテル側から問い合わせがありました。出発が早朝だったので、チェックアウトは前日にすませました。スタッフの皆さん、とても感じが良かったです。ウィーンに行く機会があれば、次もまた泊まりたいです。

このホテルはホテルザッハー併設のショップの通りを挟んで真向かいで、Operaの建物の対角線上の真向かいにあります。つまり、すぐそこに見えます。10mくらいと思って下さい。が、最初は分からず、最後はザッハーのベルマンに、ほらそこ、と教えて頂きました。看板は小さく、ホテル自体は建物の２階からに位置しているからです。入り口でベルを鳴らすと扉を開けてくれ、フロントのある日本でいう3階に行きます。日本語の観光案内やウィーンの日本語月刊誌をくれたりしました。夜と昼に2人のスタッフと接しましたが、非常に親切でアットホームな優しい感じのホテル対応でした。ホテル自体も小綺麗で、居心地のいいプチホテル、という印象でした。夜にOpera、翌朝ウィーン少年合唱団のミサに行きましたが、両方とも徒歩5分以内、寺院やモー […] ツァルトハウスも15分以内で行けました。荷物も笑顔で預かってくれ、優しいホテルで、女性も問題ありません。ホテルの値段には十分見合いました。 Mehr

入り口がわかりにくいくらいの小さなホテルですが、快適でした。部屋にネスプレッソの機械があったり、冷蔵庫の飲み物が２本まで無料だったり、とサービスも良かったと思います。オペラ座のはす向かい、という抜群のロケーションや部屋の居心地の良さを考えると、宿泊料金も手頃で、本当にお勧めです。

ケルントナー通りに面した部屋に３名で泊まりました。天井が高くいかにもウィーン風のインテリアが素敵です。セパレートﾀｲﾌﾟのﾀﾞﾌﾞﾙベッドと大きなソファーベッドがありましたが、広々と使えました。また湯沸かし器・コーヒーメーカー、陶器のコーヒーカップとお皿・カトラリーもあって、自分で調達した食料もすぐに食べられます。バスタブはなくシャワールームのみですが、清潔で使い勝手はとてもよかったです。２重窓で遮音性もよく、エアコンもあるので、夏でもケルントナー通りの騒音は気になりませんでした。 ただし毎日レセプションにスタッフがいるのは８：００～１８：００なので、翌日の朝食やタクシーサービスなど、何か頼みごとがある場合、レセプションの時間を気にする必要があります。その点は少し不便と感じるかもしれません。 […] ちなみに朝食は２種類、スタッフが別室で作ったもの（コーヒーが美味しい！）を、希望時間（朝８：００以降）に部屋へ運んでくれます。 レセプションの時間以外はまったく気になることもなく、部屋の設備は中級ホテル以上、なにより立地が最高なわり（向かいはザッハーホテル！）にはとても安価なので、本当にお薦めです。次回も利用したいと思います。 Mehr
