Encanto El Faro Luxury Ocean Front Condo-Hotel - Playa del Carmen

Not only is this hotel located in the most perfect area of Playa Del Carmen, the hotel is safe, clean and has everything you could need for your vacation. We will come back here everytime now that we have found this gem!

We love the location on the beach and especially the fact that the restaurant Wicy's is clos by so we can have breakfast and lunch on the beach at night we walk for 3 minutes to 5th Avenue and have lots of choices of places to eat our dinner. We loved Sur and The Glass House, and anew one Laterel. OPlanning to go back in the New Year.

The hotel was actually a condo complex and very nice,on the beach with a big pool and very well priced,the manager,front desk,security and maids were all friendly and helpful,I will go back again.

The hotel was beautiful It was right on the beach but close to shopping and restaurants. Our room was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

great location one block from 5th avenue; right on beach; nice restaurant--bkfast, lunch & dinner! staff friendly; furniture nice. DISAPPOINTMENT: beds were not comfortable (twins in 2nd); pillows were few and flat! MOSQUITOS inside & out!!

Ideal location, by club seen, walking distance to ADO, ferry, and other location for tour sites. On the beach looking over the carribean see, couldn't ask for more. Only one thing, our room didn't get cleaned two days straight?? We only needed clean towels and shampoo which they immediately provided us. Otherwise YES, YES, YES we'd stay here agai […] n. Mehr

Some very good features at El Faro. The location is the best. It is right off the strip towards the ocean. Perfect for those that want to have two or more separate bedrooms. Great pool for toddlers because there is a knee high part.Ocean view is great. Has a full kitchen (good for cheap breakfast at least. Full size fridge, microwave, and stove) 2 […] large TVs for waiting for everyone to take showers. Big kitchen table. They wash your dishes. Great new air conditioners. Restaurant on the first floor is pretty good for when you get back late and hungry. Girls at the front desk are super nice. Cleaning did a good job and the rooms were clean. Things they need to improve there: NO WiFi in the rooms. (Though the lobby has WiFi, no air conditioning in the lobby :[ ) Slow drains sometimes in the shower. Broken water cooler. Occasional ants. (Not so many, just annoying. Keep your food in the fridge.) Guys at the front desk need to chill. Mehr

This hotel has the perfect location. It is right on the beach and within walking distance of restaurants, night clubs and stores. The hotel is clean, comfortable and very affordable. All of the balconies face the ocean so you will have a great view. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

obviously I was truly satisfied with the hotel's location - a block away from the strip (aka La Quinta Avenida) and is at the heart of Playa's (as the locals call it) beachfront. Therefore, much money is saved on taxis because there isnt much need for them. In fact, after a night out on the strip you can literally walk home in minutes. The first condo assigned to us (Coral 202) had no dishwasher or washer & dryer. The unit was plummed for both but they had not yet been installed. We insisted on moving to a condo that had these utilities since were were there for over a week and I had called before we traveled to Mexico and confirmed our unit had these utilities. It took some coaxing, […] but Sylvia finally moved us to Coral 103 after the first night. We were very happy there and were grateful for the washer & dryer and dishwasher. I believe others complained about their units not being completely furnished as well. Once settled in our unit, the six of us were very comfortable and had a fabulous time. Beautiful pool, beach, music, food. I would recommend not bringing any valuable jewelry and use the safe. My daughter's wedding ring was missing at the end of our trip. Luckly she had insurance on it. She was devastated but can replace it. I would recommend these condos to others, just make sure you get a unit that is finished. Mehr

The hotel is nice, the room was big with an excellent view. It is a good option for families with more than 4 (we are 5 and is really dificulta to find a room that fits). In my opinion it needs more attention in cleaning and maintenance, it arena that if they don't work in that in a couple of years the condo won't be nice. The srrvice was.regular, the […] tv don't. Great little condo on the beach with hotel service / it was great if you like to walk get own groceries cook and do laundry. The patio is really well lit which you can't turn off / so bugs at night but aside from that it was great. Couple of notes - if you can roll with great deal and aren't going to get picky about no phone, non working dishwasher […] and oven then you be like us and love it. If it is a long term stay I would definately call in advance and make sure you are getting full deal on all. We did notice an ample supply of really high end condos around corner all at low rates so do your home work you could save quite a bit. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay at the encanto el faro. Great location, beautiful beach out front, and very friendly staff.

where's the hot tub for late night soaking? You need to be out of the pool by 9 pm

This place has the location, the staff, the decor, the pool, the restaurant and the entertainment. The restaurant in the community, Wicky's is absolutely awesome for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have great food and excellent service. The location is right in the center of the famed 5th avenue.

This hotel (really luxury condos) is the best deal in town and also is in the best location. Any time I go back to Playa I will stay here.

Great location to launch from. Right downtown on the beach. A block away from 5th Ave where all the main shopping and eating is. We walked the beach north and south for several miles and found the sand at its best in front of this hotel. Close to the peer to ferry over to Cozumel. A tourist company was next door we used to go to Chichen-Itza one day. We […] did not experience the noise issues others reported but we were in a south side room. The resturant and a bar next door on the north of the complex had music both recorded and live. It was fairly loud outside in the late afternoon, early evening. Mehr

We are completly unsatisfied with the room and the front desk help. The room did not have all the amenities that were originaly offered or were there but not working: the cable TV never worked in the living room, the wireless internet modem was there but never worked, a souvenir was stolen from the kitchen one day we came back from our daily activites, […] and every morning we had ants in the kitchen. The front desk was no help in resolving these issues, every time we would bring it to their attention they would give us the run around and would never resolve anything, and to top it all off as we were checking out on the last day we were accussed of stealing a dvd player that apperantly went to the living room TV (the same TV we had complained to them various time that it was not working) the dvd player was never there to begin with. Overall we had a terrible experience at this hotel and we would not recommend it to nobody! Mehr

I normally don't write reviews, but could not believe what you get for your money at this gorgeous hotel. My wife and I spent the week looking at every other place so grateful we wnded up at the El Faro. Pool and beach are some of the best on the strip. Rooms (condos) astoundingly big and nice for the money, full kitchen, great balconies/views. Only […] drawback is no phone in the room, unless you consider that a plus. Don't go if you want to relive Spring Break. More upscale and quiet, not too many kids, and free of the Vegas crowd. Mehr

I almost dont want to let this secret out. My party of 5 adults just spent a glorious week at the El Faro. We had a 3 bedroom unit with a fully equipped very contemporary kitchen. 4 flat screen tvs a beautiful terrace with a table for dining a small couch and coffee table. then there was the beach..it was PERFECT turquoise waters, white sand and fun […] waves. great location allowed us to walk out to a different restaurant every nite. what a ball cannot wait to go back!! What a great place! We actually ended up staying in the Encato owned and managed property just next door - it was called Corto Morales, a building of 20 or so suites. The building was wonderful and the 'room' was actually a two-bed suite with two balconies, two en-suite bathrooms and a huge living room, dining area and fully fitted kitchen. The condo […] exceeded our expectations. The service was excellent, with cleaning staff coming in every other day. We had a view of the beach and full access to the pool and beach club at the El Faro site next door. If we ever needed anything the staff were quick to sort it out. The beach was clean and not crowded and the water beautiful. 5th ave with all its shops and restaurants was just a block away. In all, we had a great time and would definitely recommend staying at Encanto over the all-inclusive resorts out of town - the only cabs we needed were to/from the airport. The only negative that I would point out - and this is totally beyond the control of Encanto - was that the music from a bar right on the beach created a bit of noise at night. We stayed from a Saturday to Tuesday. The El Faro is still under construction but nearly finished. Lobby, pool, restaurant are completed. Our room was finished, but they hadn't yet installed the phone or dishwasher. We only heard construction noise on Tuesday morning. The units had a full kitchen with dishes and utensils, but no soap or towels to clean […] them with. We didn't do any cooking, so we bought some disposible cups and paper towels. They suggest not drinking the water but have a 5 gallon bottled water unit with hot and cold water free of charge in the room. Very nice room though it smelled if the air conditioning wasn't on. The television/satellite was difficult to run. Somehow we got it out of the video mode and between 4 adults couldn't figure out how to get it running again. Ramon at the front desk was very patient and would come to the room to help out. Pool area was right on the beach and very nice. Comfortable padded loungers. Live music at the pool/beach in the afternoon. Reggae, pop, rock, not too loud. All rooms are ocean and pool views. Best of all it was right between the ocean and 5th avenue on Calle 10. Lots of things happening up or down 5th avenue yet the room was quiet. Mehr

Stayed there recently with 3 young kids. We were on the bottom floor - great for kids as the swimming pool was basically in their backyard. Small convenience store just around the corner - very handy for drinks and nibblies. Close to all restaurants. Not noisy at all at night. Cannot find a fault. Amazing service. Everyone on the property is very friendly and helpful. The accomodations are brand new and the location is perfect, right in the heart of playa with a 2 minute walk to 5th avenue (shopping, restaurants, bars). We never even had to take a taxi anywhere. We stayed in a 3-bdrm condo and truly had a wonderful vacation. Teodoro (at Wicky's) […] and Sylvia (front desk) were extra helpful. The food at the on-site restaurant was superb and we ate there almost daily. We traveled with our 7 month old daughter and the hotel was very family-friendly. We hope to return again next year! This hotel is on the beach with a gorgeous pool and access to one of the best restaurants in Playa - Rickys. Because the one bedroom tower was under construction they upgraded me to a three bedroom suite that had a fully furnished kitchen and living room and I also had my own personal jacuzzi in my balcony. The hotel is a block away from the main street […] with the bars and restaurants, not that I ventured out much because the food at Rickys was great. They also offer $45 60 minute massages on the beach that were amazing. I strongly recommend it, especially for families! Mehr

Muito agradavel, bem localizado, limpo, amplo, acomoda bem uma familia grande, servico impecavel....pessoal solicito, e ainda por cima tinha um simpatico brasileiro na recepcao...surpresa boa chegar la, e encontrar um brasileiro, o Cesar, que nos deu dicas, de playa.... O servico de praia, com uma Praia tranquila, apesar de ser proximo ao ferry boat […] para Cozumel... Internet rapida, perto da 5a Av, centrinho de playa....perto de tudo....Recomendo com certeza!!! A las cuatro personas que nos hospedamos en este hotel, quedamos encantadas, esta muy bonito, muy comodo, de hecho planeamos regresar. Definitivamente valio la pena el precio de lo pagado, quedamos muy satisfechos con todo. Playa del carmen es precioso y con estos hoteles aun mas!. :D

This hotel is New and some rooms are still under construction. But the stay at the hotel was great and the service was very good. At the time of check in, 2 of the staff members walked us to the room and showed us everything and tols us all there was to know about it and some details of the surroundings. If you ask me the hotel i located at the best […] position on the beach in playa del carmen. The only thing that was a bit disapointing was that we had to go to the lobby to access the internet, exept that i have no compains at all. Mehr

Helt fantastisk beliggenhet, utsikt, leilighet etc. Ett minus som er relativt irriterende og det er at A/C på begge rommene peker mot sengen, mao du blir liggende med en kald vind hele natten. For varmt til å la den være av.
