Holiday Inn Florence - Florenz

The Holiday Inn was a welcomed sight after just missing a tornado by 3 minutes. I headed straight to the bar to calm my nerves and apparently I wasn't alone. Food was good, room very clean and the king bed was comfortable. Very convient to I-75. Recently rennovated or just built but appeard new.

Booked this hotel for a long weekend. We wanted to swim in the "heated" pool, which turned out to be ice cold. Before heading in to the pool, we realized that there were no towels available, and let the front desk staff know. They told us that they would bring towels, which never arrived. We got in the pool and quickly realized that the heat was NOT […] on, and we still had no towels. We had to stand in the shower in our room for 20 min just to thaw out! The floor of the shower in our room was not attached, and actually moved when you walked on it. Someone (not us) hung a do not disturb sign after the first night, so no towels or coffee for the next morning. Very limited staff in the bar in the evening, but eventually we did get service, but not much of a drink selection. The rooms are nice and well decorated, but I can't say much else about this hotel. Great hotel. Good sized rooms and enjoyed the indoor pool. Conveniently located- only 15 minutes from Newport and downtown Cincinnati attractions.

This was not a good visit... I felt the hotel was cheaply constructed... you could see through the outside door ( around the door) the shower floor felt like it was not properly attached .. The floor drain in the shower was not attached... For the price.. this hotel was not of the quality and worth the stay...

Restuarant service is VERY slow and the quality is mediocre at best. However, the room and other areas were very nice. Beds were in good shape and the down-like comforters were nice. Pool was small, but warm enough and clean. Towels were at a premium, but it's like that everywhere.

We were in Florence for a family reunion and stayed at the Holiday Inn. It's a newer hotel and in great condition. I didn't notice that there was no free breakfast at the hotel so that was the only downside, and that was my fault. We'd definitely stay there again.

From the friendly check-in to the super clean room down to the awesome service at the restaurant - the Holiday Inn in Florence, KY is top notch.

Nice rooms furnishings seem new and clean. Staff not overly friendly or available. Twice I went down to front desk to find it unoccupied. Bartender great and helpful with a bottle of wine we brought and no opener. She was wonderful!

I loved this hotel, it is very new and well decorated. This will be where I will always stay when I come To Florence.

I had paid for a reservation for full breakfast for both of my nights (stayed two nights). When I arrived they didn't mention anything. They said the restaurant was closing early that night (Sunday) since not many people were in the hotel but the next day should be fine since they would have more business clients. Funny since Holiday Inn says in their […] in-room service packet they are geared towards families. So no in-hotel restaurant was available 1st night. The next morning we went to the restaurant. I asked the server what was included in the Full Breakfast since I had paid for it. She said my two kids east for free with the paid adult. This still didn't make sense to me since I knew I pre-paid more for all of us to have FULL BREAKFAST. So I left the restaurant to go to the front desk and asked. They did some looking and found that yes I did in fact have it so they gave me these two $20 coupons toward breakfast. So even with the kids eating free my wife and I STILL had to pay money toward our breakfast. Insane. Plus we were the ONLY people in the resturant on Tuesday morning and one of only two families on Monday and it took FOREVER to even get our food. Then it wasn't very good. DO NOT get the full breakfast and don't pay for it. Go someplace else. The pool was OK. They didn't have a rack or stack of pool towels but instead would place 1 on each of the poolside chairs. Once used, you tossed into a hamper. This in theory is fine as long as someone is staying on top of this, which they were not. When we went to the pool on our last day there were not enough towels available just for the 4 of us and we were the only ones in the pool area. Before we went to the pool my son had accidentally spilled some cola on his fitted bed sheet. I pulled it off the bed and set the rest of the bedding on the floor.
