The room was clean but we had to ask for a TV remote because it was missing. There was terribly much noise in the halls until midnight and it started again at 6am. Pool was cold, kids did not enjoy it.

We found this hotel to be above average. The room was great, clean and the staff very friendly! However, it would've been nice if breakfast was offered until 11:30, giving the guests more time to relax in the morning and actually be on a holiday. Other than that, it was a very good experience and we would not hestitate to visit this establishment […] again or encourage others to stay there as well. Mehr

I stayed at the Garden City Inn for 2 nights. The hotel overall is very good in my opinion. My room was nicely upgraded and included a deep soaker tub. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. The hotel has a sports bar as well as another dance club bar. Although I didn't go to the dance club, the sports bar was large with plenty […] of tv screens to watch sports as well as having pool tables, dart boards, etc. As this was attached to the building, you didn't need to go outside. There is also a VLT lounge for those that want to gamble at the machines. The hotel had a nice family style restraunt. They served a good breakfast for $3.99. Lunch and dinner buffets were also available for a reasonable cost. The hotel is near some shopping centres and other conveniences. If staying on the northwest end of Winnipeg, I would recommend staying at this hotel. The price was reasonable and the service and quality of the hotel is good as well. Mehr

This was our first family get away, and we had a blast. We all enjoyed the pool, the friendly hotel staff and the wonderful service at Aaltos the in-house restaurant. It was such a good time that we will be planning another visit sooner rather than later.

My son had his 10th birthday party at the Inn, and he had three of his friends sleep over they had an awesome time. What a great theme room. The staff were all polite and accomodating. I would recommend this party theme room to any one with children. .

I was very satisfied with my stay.I will be back

I would recommend this motel to anyone. I certainly will use it again the next time i have to stay in Wpg.

The room was clean and the staff was helpful...however - although the hotel was mostly empty, our room was beside other patrons and the ice machine (both of which were extremely noisy til two in the morning) and we did not have a good sleep. Unfortunately, there was no way to turn on the heating system fan to make some 'white' noise to cover the racket […] outside our door. I would not recommend this hotel to a friend. Mehr

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at this hotel and although the rooms and facilities were good, the restaurant had good food and hours and was reasonably priced, the night noises were disturbing. The pop and ice machines are on the second floor, in the hallway, next door and across the hall from a number of bedrooms. People using the machines […] at 3:00am was disturbing but the worst was when they filled the pop machine at 4:30A.M. I was told this was their normal practice!! It took at least 1/2 hour and that was the end of sleep for that night. Offered a room change but we were leaving the next morning so that wasn't a real option. Won't stay there again!!!! Mehr

Hotel was clean, staff were good however it's run down and very noisy plus the locals don't respect normal sleep hours. I had the worst sleep of my business travel life and would not recommend to a friend. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else.

hotel and room were clean and comfortable but the lightingin the room was unsatisfactory for my wife as she has very limited vision and the room was too dark at night even with all their wall lamps. It would have been helpful if there was a ceiling light that could have been used if necessary

Hotel was great. Very clean, quiet and comfortable, room was a great size and shower was, too! The pub downstairs served decent food. Only downside is it is a little out of the way if you want to access downtown Winnipeg (about a 20-minute cab ride) but overall, a real nice hotel.

The Hotel was nicer on the inside than the outside. Th e room was large and newly renovated and moderately comfortable.We had a new microwave and fridge which suited us perfectly.The bathroom was basic.The bed was comfortable and we received a newspaper in the a.m.It was quiet considering there was a casino.but we were dead tired and heard nothing.

The kids had fun and we were very comfortable excet that there was only 1 chair in the room. A second chair would have been helpful

In the year 2009 breakfast was included, but not this year. Bottled water was 4.50 $ per bottle. Other than that our stay was very good.

The hotel looks good after revenovations. You need room card to get through stairwell doors and to access the elevator. I found that kind of strange but I guess its also for added security. The room I stayed in there seemed to be holes or something black along the bottom outer bath tub rim but you wouldn't really notice it if your not looking for flaws. […] I was kind of hoping for a bigger tub concidering they recently renovated everything. Room was clean. There was a small part of the window that you could open up, I found that different cause most hotel rooms you can't open the windows. Upon check-out I was told my total also included a restarunt charge of which we never went to. I had receit proof I was elsewhere at that date and time the charge was made. Someone had charged their lunch onto my room. I wasnt sure how that was possible because they gave us these room charge cards with your name and room number and dates of stay clearly printed on them...*shrugs*. That issue was resolved. Stayed for 3 nights. I would return to this hotel. Mehr

This hotel is an economical and convenient option for the traveler who can put up with some disruption due to the age group it attracts. The rooms are clean, the service is great and there is a feeling of improvement in the future. Don't forget though that this is a kids playground and so there can be crying babies. Also there is some cost savings compared […] to other Hotels and Motels and so there are some rowdy parties which are still not being dealt with in a timely manner. Mehr
