Bardessono - Yountville

Gorgeously appointed and wonderfully located- the Bardessono is a place you don't want to leave. Marcus and Ryan took care of us as soon as we arrived and escorted us every night to our restaurant of choice in style. Laura checked us in quickly and gave us a tour of the grounds & our amazing quarters. Our room was stylish, comfortable, luxurious. Beautiful […] bed, extra spacious bath and a fabulous jacuzzi tub w/ it's own blow dryer. Fireplace, private patio and incredible grounds. The whole property is beautiful and a place that you don't want to leave. Dog friendly aspect is so important to us and our well behaved Lily was treated with care. Can't wait to return!! very nice and comfortable hotel . Location is great and many nice restaurants that we just walk there. the room is great and spacious.

I booked this hotel for as a 40th birthday present for my wife. She is a major foodie and I'm a tag a long, who gets all the benefits of her hobby. Overall, Bardessona staff and hotel were wonderful. I would highly recommend the hotel, our room was in an excellent location and despite other reviews stating some concerns with road noise in other hotels, […] I found at Bardessona this was a non-issue. If I were to be nit-picky, I would mention two problems. First, the wood floors in the bathroom are beautiful but the hotel is brand new and you can already tell that the constant water saturation is causing bowing of some boards and will be a problem in a short while. Second, the heating system, when initiating it's startup, makes a fairly loud click. It is about as loud as a click on a door opening, and sounds almost exactly the same. This actually awoke me every night, twice, as it sounds like someone entering the room, and really will need to be addressed over time. Perhaps it was specific to our room, but if other's find a similar problem it will have to be fixed. Because of this problem, and only this problem, I would take off 1/2 star. Although we didn't mind, the hotel's restaurant was being remodeled during our stay, and for a brand new hotel, really, brand new, it seems kind of crazy in foodie heaven, that the restaurant would already need to be remodeled. It didn't really alter our stay as we had so many fabulous places to dine and therefore I didn't remove any stars for this snafu. Overall, a fabulous resort. Mehr

The hotel property is extremely attractive with an exceptional staff. My wife was very happy with the spa located on the property. The property could not have a better location as it is walking distance to all off the top restaurants within Yountville. My only complaint is minor- there is no gym. Beautiful Modern and Environmentally-Friendly Hotel located in the heart of Yountville. Convenient walking distance to enjoy morning breakfast at local Bouchon Bakery just across the street! Also has a nice small trail around the hotel for walking or jogging... because the trail is relatively small around the hotel grounds, there is a longer trail just […] a few blocks away. There is no on-site gym but you get complementary full access to the Yountville Fitness Center 2 blocks away. Close driving distance to all the wineries - all within 3-10 miles range - Cakebread, Opus One, Quintessa, Robert Mondavi, Domain Carneros, Jarvis Winery, etc etc. Overall, valet service, customer service, spa service was superb and we are definitely going to return sometime in the future. had a great experience with this hotel, with the exception of the concierge. I had called during my stay to have them help me organize winery tasting reservations. the voicemail picked up and I left all of my information and the concierge never returned my call. After the lack of response, I stopped by the concierge desk and since she was on her dinner […] break, I left details of what I needed and my contact information with the front desk and still, no call. Other than that, the hotel was INCREDIBLE. the pool was wonderful, although the service was slow. They should have some kind of help for the pool servers as every day was packed at the pool and it looked like they needed more help. plus, the pool is on the second floor and they had to run up and down the stairs in the 95 degree weather to get food and drink items. Once the food and drinks arrived, they were of exceptional quality. Rooms are beautiful but no tissues to be found... maybe because they are disposable and the focus is truly on "green" luxury. Unbeatable location, right in the heart of Yountville. We walked to both The French Laundry and Bouchon (Bakery and restaurant). Management and front desk were friendly and very accommodating. Wonderful location and fabulous, large room and bath. It was nice to easily walk around town and into the fields just outside this tiny town. My one problem was that the food service staff wasn't quite up to snuff; we had to call daily to get glasses by the pool and dirty dishes spent a long time before removal. It was a lovely new resort and spa. Very contemporary with lots of water features. The pool and hot tub were on the roof with nice views. The rooms had every amenity you would want. It was my husband's birthday and they brought chocolates to the room! We had a great celebration and even got into the French Laundry Restaurant. 5 star on everything except breakfast. The classic breakfast (around$14) was eggs, bacon, toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The bacon o.k., but the toast was practically inedible. This hotel is a little bit of heaven. The attention to detail is amazing. Simple touches in the rooms. Environmentally conscious and energy efficient without feeling like you missing anything. The room felt so cozy we didnt want to leave. Private and quiet. We loved being able to get bikes from the hotel and had a nice ride around town while we did […] some wine tasting. Very good experience out of the restaurant, offering casual food with very long service (we waited for 50 minutes our brunch plate while there was only 8 customers in the restaurant including us!). To be fair with the staff, they recognized the problem and reduced the invoice by $50. To address this issue, you should better go to Bouchon, The French […] Laundry or any other restaurants in the surrounding. While we checked out, my wife, working in the hospitality business (Director of Guest Services in a 4 star hotel), was disappointed by the fact that our front desk agent immediately left us after printing the invoice. This is a great hotel to be at. It's a must see and is right in the heart of Yountville steps away from all the local eatery =). Bouchon, Ad Hoc, Bottega, etc... The hotel is beautiful with lovely courtyards. The hotel and spa staff were super friendly. The level of service was great. We had a slight hiccup during our stay due to forces beyond the hotel's control, but they did their best to make sure that we were taken care of and minimally affected. We would definitely stay here again.

I've ad massages all over the world and the best, most relaxing, and therapeutic massage was at this hotel. I stayed in an elevated spa suite, and the best part of the room was the bathroom. It had a wonderfully large spa-jet bathtub and a separate spacious shower. The hotel is chic, minimalist, and environmentally friendly. As a LEED Platinum Hotel this was a very comfortable and appealing Hotel,and one of the greenest in the country. Added comforts of the Spa butler, double spa tub, the smoothest linens, private balcony made this an uncommon luxury.

This hotel has been recognized as one of the greenest hotels in the world and is LEED certified. The rooms are modern/minimalist in design with all of the latest technology. Location in Yountville can't be beat - within walking distance to fantastic dining!

The hotel is beautiful and the room that we got was outstanding. Took advantage of the spa for a great bubble bath with my girlfriend. Location was great, very close to our restaurant.

Everything was fantastic. Great location, service, room, amenities, pool, tub, balcony, bikes, etc. A unique architecture makes the rooms very private with all of the modern features. First class experience all the way. I highly recommend.

Beautiful grounds, large rooms, wonderful jetted tubs in every bath! My only complaint is I called 4 days in advance to book massages for my boyfriend and I, but no one answered (during business hours) so I left a voicemail per their instructions. NO RETURN CALL. Upon arriving at the hotel, they were fully committed. They tried to call in extra therapists […] to cover, but only could find one and the times were inconvenient. If you are going to boast your establishment as focusing on in-room spa services then you need to have a significant number of therapists on call to accommodate this. Mehr

This hotel is quite possibly the most beautiful and most meticulous I've ever seen. The clean lines of the room and beautiful grounds were the perfect setting for our romantic getaway. This hotel is everything and more! The staff was on point and hotel location was perfect. Rooms were huge and modern. Restaurant on location was great and pool was also very relaxing. Worth every shiny penny to feel extra special during your stay. Definitely will return to only this place when visiting Napa area.

This is a new hotel and nothing short of expectacular. Located in the town of yountville, close to many restaurants, you feel like you are in a minimalist, trendy ranch in the middle of nowhere. Bardessono was a real treat for my 40th birthday. the service was excellent and the quality of finishes through-out the hotel was exceptional. It is really a hotel for couples in love - the double jacussi bath being a real highlight. The design is minimal, largely using natural materials. I didn't quite get the whole "eco" marketing angle - a lot […] of concrete done up to look like stone. It was expensive and I'm not sure it can really justify the price. That said, I would go back. This is a beautiful new hotel right in the heart of Yountville. Walking distance to shopping and numerous world class restaurants. Close proximity to several wineries and other restaurants. We had never stayed in Yountville before but we will every time now. Staff is very (if not overly) attentive. Great pool area.
