Days Inn and Suites Wichita East - Wichita

the only problem with the hotel was an odor, a little musty maybe. just didn't like it. Other than that it was very nice.

The key cards did not retain their programming for more than about 24 hours. So we had to get new cards. Only got maid service 1 day. It's an old run down motel that needs to be refurbished or rebuilt.

The night manager was very friendly. Unfortunately the halls were very musty or smoke smelling. The room appeared clean but the carpet and all corners were very dirty! They definitely need to update their t.v's!!

i arrived at the hotel checked in, went to my room, walked in, first thing i smelled was a mildew smell, room was really hot, reached for light switch, lights would not come on, tried the lamps would not come on, tried the bathroom light, would not come on, i even tried the A/C would not come on, i went downstairs to tell them about it, they said they […] would go up and fix it, it was late a night, had to get up early, i said no just cancel my stay here, i asked for documentation of everything, the Manager would not give me anything, worst experience i ever had at a hotel, never will stay at your franchise again. The beds were great, the shower had great pressure, staff were friendly, and it seemed to be close or access was easy to everywhere I wanted to go. Best of all was the price! Thank you Days Inn for making my stay easy.

For the money I paid it was worth it, service is excellent ,

This was an old hotel with updated parts. My room was a non-smoking room and was clean and smelled nice, not like a sanitized smoking room. The room itself needed to be updated though. The furnature was old and none of the drawers in the side tables or tv cabinet closed properly. The window even had two different curtains on it. The bathroom had been […] updated and was pretty nice, however you could tell that the updates to it had been done in a hurry and I worry how it will fair over time. This hotel worked for me because I was there only for a couple of nights by myself and I spent very little time in my room, and the price was right. The location was also wonderful for shopping, which is why I was there. I also felt safe in the area by myself at night. However if you are looking for a luxury experience this is NOT the hotel for you. The staff was nice but you get exactly what you pay for with this room. Mehr

very happy with all aspects of room

The location was convenient. The hotel was quiet. The hotel clerk was pleasant. Our room was fine but the dresser drawers were broken, the door to the hotel was automatic door and it didn't work. You had to push the doors open. I guess the major problem with the hotel was that it wasn't very well maintained and it made you question cleaniness and operations […] of the hotel. I wasn't sure what to expect at first, however, the staff was friendly at check in, the rates were reasonable, the hotel was clean and the rooms were modern and updated, it was comfortable, and the surrounding area and location was great, parking was convenient, definitely would recommend this hotel for people coming into the area who are looking for […] a good hotel with a reasonable price. Motel is an older model that has been redone to some extent. Furniture was quite old, but servicable. Microwave worked considerable too well, as it burned my dinner is less than half the suggested cooking time. The refridgerator worked very well as did the other appliances. Breakfast was a bit skimpy, but for the price was not bad. Only big problem […] I had was that the walls seemed to be paper thin, Every noise could be heard. Had trouble sleeping with the dorrs banging and talking in the hallways. All in all I think it was worth the cost, but not more. Mehr

I have stayed at this hotel since it was Garden Inn & Suites. I do wish it was back to the old management though. My room had no remote and the hair dryer was broken and nobody would come to my room to replace it, but other than that it was great. Clean, comfortable, great location. Will probably continue to stay here. The cleaning ladies were SOOOO […] friendly! Keep them, they're more friendly than the man up front! Mehr

Outside doors to inter hallways not secure (latches broken or missing), parking lot access to office very poor, hallway smelled of smoke, no security visible in parking lot, staff friendly. People coming and going all night, thin walls, when water was being used (yours or others) it caused loud rushing sound.

Hotel was located in a good spot near hwys and gas/food. AC worked for awhile, then just the fan. No smoking room smelled like cigs, not too bad though. However, we got this hotel $20-30 less than any other room around so we were still happy with it even though it wasn't the best. Worst thing was that the hallway in the morning smelled like a dying […] body or a meth lab or something awful along those lines. Mehr

Garden Inn was very easy to get to from the hwy. Very nice people and the room was nice too. The people answered my questions and were very helpful. I will stay at the Garden Inn anytime I'm in Wichitia, KS. Very close to sights and downtown area.

This specific hotel is the kind of place you stay at when you are passing through a city late at night without other options. The bed was made and looked clean which is the only positive thing I have to say about this hotel. I stayed for three days as I was in town to make repairs on a property I own and the hotel was one step above the house I was […] working on. My room carpet was dirty, the room was not cleaned the second day, and I was told by the night desk that I would be charged for the iron and ironing board that did not exist in the room. this hotel had cigarrete burns on the sheets. we were in Wichita visiting a family member in the hospital and could not afford hotel for a lot or a long time so we went with this cheaper one since it was in a good area. wrong, there were stains all over the chairs, hair on the towels and burn marks on our sheets. it needs to be upgraded and taken care […] of. there were marks on the door like someone had tried to break in. You get what you pay for... The chairs were filthy, I have cleaner furniture outside on my Uncovered patio. The TV's did not even have remotes. There was a light that was right by my bedroom window and the curtins did not close all the way. I had to stack 2 chairs to lean against the wall to close the blinds...

Get what ya pay for!

i have never stayed in a worse hotel in my life, the customer service was disgusting and there is no food within 2 miles, its terrible, i had the change rooms 3 times due to either wrong room, or room wasnt clean, never stay here!!!!!!!

The hotel is old and run down.
