"Sehr entäuschend"
Putzkraft hat persönlichen Sachen weggeworfen; wir haben erfahren, einige wichtige Telefon Nachrichten nie bekommen zu haben obwohl unsere Freunde 2 Mal angerufen haben und wurden sogar versichert, einen Zettel in unserem Zimmer hinter zulegen; wir sind beim Personalwechsel von unseren Zimmer ausgesperrt und mussten Personalausweise erneuert vorlegen; […] Schwimmbad war erst um 10 Uhr morgens geöffenet; bei "Continental Breakfast" war nur etwas Eiweiss zu haben, und zwar kalt hartgekochte Eier, und sonst dickmacher Ami-Müsli, Weissbrot, Weissbagels, Weiss-Waffeln und fette "Gravy". Great price for nice, clean room plus breakfast. I wasn't thrilled that they used an untucked flat sheet instead of a fitted sheet on the bed. But other than that, the room was comfortable and clean, room service was great, and the breakfast buffet was really good with the waffle bar, nice tea selection, and biscuits and yummy gravy. "A decent place to sleep"
Staff was friendly and efficient, no problems with check in. Breakfast was fine--nothing special but filling, and they had a waffle maker so that was cool. The absence of any fresh fruit at the buffet was kind of a bummer, though. The room was clean and pretty standard...again, nothing special but for pretty cheap/night it did the job. Easy to get downtown […] or to the freeway for exploring. Our biggest complaint is that the WiFi was spotty and we couldn't get a consistent signal in our room. I asked the front desk and they said they were having trouble with their cable and internet....not sure if this affected the signal range, though. But who goes on vacation to watch TV? "No fitted sheets, but a fair deal for the price."
Overall, because of the price we got, the hotel is a good value. The one problem we had during our week long stay was the sheets. The first night I actually woke up on the mattress (ew!) because they use flat sheets instead of fitted ones. I mentioned this to the front desk, and he said that there had been other complaints about that, but that they […] had no fitted sheets at all. We asked for extra sheets and blankets from housekeeping and wrapped that mattress up by overlapping them all, plus brought in our own king blanket for added measure. We were fine from then on. The only problem was that we booked room for 2 nights, so on the the second day when we got back to our room the key didn't work. Went to the office to have the key redone and they thought we were only staying one night even though we prepaid for two. Although the hotel met all our expectations, we were surprised when we were charged an additional $15 pet fee that expedia neglected to inform us of.
