My wife and I stayed for just one night at La Villa Marbella, in the Saigon Suite, as we were meeting friends further South the next day. I would have moved in for an extended stay if I had had the chance. Isabella and Marcus were truly welcoming and warmly so. You really felt that you were staying in the home of friends, among the sounds and sites […] of Old Marbella, a classic neighborhood of true Spain. All of "Classic Marbella" was but a short, lovely, safe walk away, through narrow streets, festooned with flowers (in January) and friendly folks. Isabella had a wonderful tip for dinner, The Orange Tree, just off the famous Orange Square. Frank, the owner of Orange Tree, was a true host, and the food was sublime. We ended up closing the restaurant, staff long gone and kitchen dark, talking with Frank and his assistant Maria, and an British couple who dine there often, sampling different Spanish brandies. What's not to like?? We hope our Scottish friends who we were meeting Winter in the Costa del Sol next year, as we will just take up a week's residence in La Villa Marbella! This hotel is exemplary! Perfect in every sense, right from check in welcome, to the extremely well appointed room, amenities, location (located in the heart of old town where lot of the action is in Marbella), helpful staff, wonderful breakfast.. I booked this hotel for a holiday w/ my girlfriend because it had such strong online reviews; ALL of the positive reviews are completely merited. Never in my life have I experienced such attentive and classy service from a hotel. My girlfriend and I are planning to come back in the summer and bring our families so that they can have the same experience […] we did. One of my favorite aspects was the artistic decor and the unique attention to detail that our room exhibited. Each room has it's own theme and is replete with high quality craftsman furniture and beds. If you're a couple, request the Boracay suite; it has a balcony w/ a view and it's bathroom has what is probably the most satisfying shower stall I've ever been in. I know that may sound weird, but seriously, many hotels skimp on quality when it comes to bathrooms; NOT this place! The bathroom is worth the booking in and of itself. Marcos, Isabella, and Boli feel like family to us now, and we can't wait to see them again! We miss you! La Villa Marbella is our favorite hotel! Mehr

Very nice and comfortable hotel with very friendly service.

Can't speak highly enough of the La Villa Marbella and all of their staff. Warm, friendly and helpful this little gem of a find is highly recommended. Ben, Marcus, Isabella and Wendy made our stay delightful.

This hotel is a real gem. The entire staff is extremely friendly and accomodating. They are very attentive and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and will stay again next time we are in Marbella. Marcus is fantastic and this place will not disappoint you.

I was a solo female traveller, and was fortunate enough to find this wonderful boutique style hotel in beautiful old town Marbella. It was a great stay and close to everything. The rooms and decor were wonderful and I even had a full sized hairdryer and beach towels. Situated in the heart of old town Marbella - La Villa Marbella was an absolute dream come true. With an array of great reviews across the web, my new wife and I didn't know if this place could live up to the hype surrounding it, but ladies and gentleman it surpassed it on all levels. We honeymooned there for 4 nights in March 2011 - myself coming from […] Scotland and my wife from USA and decided to book ourselves into the Shanghai room for a nice treat. The room was unlike anywhere I've ever stayed. As you will be aware, each room is completely different and based on an Asian city - a chic and clever concept to begin with - and the hotel is split into a number of buildings. Shanghai, situated in the beautiful Courtyard building made us feel like royalty. A clean, well set-out room that fused contemporary style with the heritage of its setting. The same can be said for the entire building. It features a private pool - the only one in old town Marbella to be exact - lovely little dining room and homely living area. Our room itself came with a private terrace equipped with an amazing hot tub and scenic views of the old town, and the room featured all the amenities you would expect from the world's nicest hotels. To cut a long story short, the hotel was the best attraction of Marbella and I could happily live there. As for the staff, I'm sure you will have heard the name Marcos when reading up on the hotel and it is a name you will not forget. He is by far the ideal hotel manager and one of the nicest people you could hope to meet on your travels. He and his staff will make you feel genuinely welcome and cater to any of your needs. A great atmosphere surrounds the place come rain or shine. If you are staying in the Marbella area, you must stay at this hotel, if you are planning on travelling somewhere else, change your plans and stay at La Villa Marbella, you will be glad you did. Lovely hotel spread over a number of properties near the heart of old Marbella. Very welcoming staff and excellent amenities. Good tips available on sight-seeing and dining out. Contact the hotel directly before you arrive to get parking advice and directions - it is not easy to find unless you know the area well. However, there is a good value municipal […] car-park nearby and it is an easy walk to the hotel. There is essentially no direct access by car to hotel unless you are a very brave driver! Mehr

Every detail of this hotel has been thoroughly thought out. We have travelled extensively throughout Europe (mostly staying at 5 star hotels) and La Villa Marbella is easily one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Marbella.

On a search with TripAdvisor, this came up as one of the best five hotels in Marbella. We stayed for three nights and really couldn't fault the place. Marcos and Boli, the staff we met were exceptional in their customer care, the hotel is quiet, in a beautiful location and exquisitely furnished. We stayed in the Yangon room, the cheapest and probably […] the smallest room, had we been there for more than three nights it may have been difficult as there is little space for storage but you get what you pay for! The hotel is in the Old Town, cobbled streets and little shops/cafes and only ten minute stroll to the beach. Would not hesitate to go back. Mehr

Dette hotel har kun 1 stjerne, men det skal man ikke lade sig skræmme af. Vi følte os meget vel modtaget - og fordi det er så lille har ejerne tid til at vise hver gæst værelse og faciliteterne frem. Vi fik kort og anbefalinger om gode spisesteder og sejltiderne for færgen :-) Morgenmaden blev spist i ro og mag i den lille gårdhave med swimmingpool. […] Meget dejligt - et godt sted for en romantisk oplevelse. Elejí el hotel en el casco antiguo por comodidad para lo que me hizo desplazarme hasta allí. Pero la indicación del mapa era muy ambigua y tuve que ir andando por las calles de Mar bella sin dar con el sitio indicado, aunque estaba cerca, la irregularidad de las calles hacía dificil encontrarlo. Deberían mandar a una persona al parkíng para indicar […] como llegar, ademas de especificar en la publicidad que no pueden llegar los coches al hotel. La habitación tenía muebles bonitos pero desprendían un olor característico que chocaba y al que costaba adaptarse. La habitación daba la sensación de ser pequeña, sólo se podía uno sentar en la cama. El desayuno tenía que ser elegido el día anterior, me hubiera gustado más poder decidir sobre la marcha, dependiendo del hambre y de los alimentos disponibles. En la publicidad hay fotos de una casa con 9 habitaciones pero después te alojan en una serie de casas cercanas de características similares. El precio me pareció caro en relación a la oferta A favor: el trato cordial de los empleados, la limpieza de la habitación, la cama (estupenda), el menaje y la comodidad del baño. Mehr
