Beach View is a lovely place with a very friendly staff. It was a really lovely experience staying there and now I can't wait to get back!

This is essentially a self catering aparthotel. It is very well located on the west coast and Is well equipped with ever thing you need but has the benefit of a daily maid service, 24 hour security and the back up of the hotel management, who are very friendly and helpful. Lovely pool and gardens opersite the beach.

Fantastic value for money, the staff could not do enough for you. #1 preferred hotel in Barbados on tripadvisor. If you don't mind a 10 minute walk down the public beach to get to the best bits of Paynes Bay you can set yourselves up on the beach in front of hotels which charge two or three times as much as Beach View.

This hotel is beautiful, with lush grounds and a nice pool. The security at the gate is 24hrs and always smiling. The service is always kind. However, the 'waterfall' at the pool did not work well and is shut off at 4pm even though the pool itself is open until 10pm. For any 'substantial' view of the beach, you need to be on the 3rd floor. Our biggest […] gripe was about the way we were treated, we felt like second class. We informed the hotel we were there for our 10 yr anniversary, and although they could not guarantee an upper floor, they would try. When we checked in, they gave us a ground floor unit facing the pool - great except everyone passes in front of us and could see inside every room of our unit, which meant we needed to keep the curtains closed at all times (bathroom faced the parking lot). 2 days later they found us a 2nd floor unit - but told us we would need to move back to the ground floor unit on our last night. Since rooms cannot be guaranteed, why would we have to do that? Would it be due to the Expedia rate? This and the fact that they did not ask how our stay was on checkout left a bad taste in our mouths. What about the actual beach itself? The strip of beach in front of the hotel is not great as it's a small strip and the water itself was rocky underfoot. It is connected to the beaches next to it, but those are occupied by hotels that are directly on the beach. Which was ok as all beaches in Barbados are public. More of a hassle than anything else. We stayed here in April 2012 for 9 nights and had a great time. Nice location. Very centrally located to wonderful beaches and with the efficient public transport not far from anything on the Island. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is the first time I've been to Barbados and could not have selected a better place to stay. The Beach View is directly across the street from the beach and within a short walking distance from great hotels and convenient stores. We took a city bus for $2 Babados (US$1.00) to Hole Town and enjoyed even better restaurants. Robin and his staff know how to make their guests feel welcome and comfortable. The accommodations, including units and grounds, were in very good condition and well maintained. I can't add much more than what has been written already except that the staff always stayed one step ahead of a problem. When Robin saw that a van scheduled to pick us up from […] the hotel had not arrived on time, without me saying anything, Robin found out what the problem was and made sure other arrangements were made (at no cost to us) so we would arrive at the port before the catamaran departed. I was impressed with the care and attention paid to something that wasn't really his problem. Loved everything about this place. If you want to go self catering, and why wouldn't you given how expensive all-inclusive deals are, then these appartments are perfect. Great kitchen, and plenty of space to chill out. Ten minutes into Holetown to a pretty decent supermarket, and plenty of places to eat nearby ranging from fancy west-coast restaurants, […] to more affordable (and probably authentic) Bajan places. Easy access to beautiful beaches is another plus. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful, and we particularly enjoyed the sundowner cocktails at the home of the manager. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff was terrific. I only wish the property had been directly on the beach. The hotel provides beach chairs and umbrellas, but guests still have to carry them across a busy road and set things up on your own. The actual beach is small with no shade. The hotel is just across a road from the beach and fish market. Walking distance to several very good restaurants. Our apartment, no 303, was in Paw Paw (block no 1 - nearest the road) The apartment is very spacious,furnished to a very high standard and is well equipped. There is a daily maid service and sheets/towels are changed every 4th day.We had […] a great view of the beach. My only negative comment is the apartment, although air conditoned, was very warm. this is due to the balcony area being enclosed and not enough air flow. The other apartment blocks have open balconies but they probably dont have such a great beach view.Overall we were delighted with the apartment and facilities and were prepared to put up with the heat for the views. I can't say enough nice things about Beach View. Our condo was fabulous. It was clean and comfortable. Beyond that, the staff were amazing. The man who owned the place was constantly striving to make everyone comfortable and happy. Excellent place to stay - friendly,efficient staff, clean and comfortable. Best blocks to stay in are central 2 blocks further away from the road which can be slightly noisy.Ask for top floor if you can to get a sea view but groundfloor better for walking straight out to the pool and especially if you have children. My wife and I stayed at the Beach View for 8 days in early November. Our unit was on the 3rd floor with a marvelous view of the ocean. It's literally a 4-5 minute walk to a outstanding beach just across the road. The staff were second to none. Everything was immaculately clean and well maintained. Robin Walcott, the owner, invited all of the guests […] to his wonderful beachfront home for a cocktails and snacks. We had a great time, met his family and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. From the time we checked in until the moment we left, we felt Robin and his staff were here to help us. Having a full kitchen, washer and dryer and separate sleeping, dining and cooking areas was a huge advantage. We sat on the balcony most evenings and watched the splendid Caribbean sunset. You will not find any better! Another plus is the bus stop right in front of the hotel. Very inexpensive buses run back and forth between Bridgetown and Holetown every 10-15 minutes. There is a large supermarket in Holetown (10 minutes away) where got our groceries. Guests who would prefer to dine out will find several restaurants within walking distance of the Beach View. We travel frequently and always provide feedback on our hotels. Usually there are a few things to nit-pick about, and we rarely give any hotel full marks. The Beach View is the first where we have done so! We will unquestionably stay at Beach View when we return to Barbados, and we highly recommend it to others. Mehr

We found the standard of service to be very high, more like a hotel than a self-catering apartment. Upon arrival at Beach View we were met by the owner Robin and a member of staff who took our bags up to our apartment whilst we checked in. We had a problem with our car hire but this was promptly resolved by Carrie at reception in less than an hour even […] though we had not made the booking through the hotel. We found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful. One of the highlights of our stay was the invite to the managers cocktail party, rum punch, nibbles, and transport to and from were provided. The team at Beach View especially Robin treat their guests like old friends! The apartments are in excellent condition being only a few years old, all of the white goods and furnishings are of a high quality – better than we had expected from the photos on expedia. One of the things that impressed us was just how clean the apartments were. We could not fault the housekeeping. The apartment itself was large, we had a three bedroom apartment even through there was just the two of us – the other rooms were locked off during our stay. There is a safe in the room and also a washer/dryer which we found useful. We also appreciated the bagels which we found in our fridge! Mehr

Stayed there for 10 nights, if I had to describe Beach View with one word, ‘AMAZING!’ We were met and greeted by the owner Robin, all of the staff can’t do enough to make sure your stay is the best holiday yet. Apartment was excellent, very well equipped, and spacious and the cleanest place we have ever stayed in. It was very good that air conditioning […] had just been installed and made a real difference. Room was cleaned every day; pool was like our own private pool, with the busiest day being 6 of us round it. Beach is just across the street, the locals will even stop to let you cross. There is a great reef to explore if you’re into snorkelling and every day we had the beach to ourselves. Would highly recommend a spot of breakfast at the hut on the site and even lunch if you’re still hungry. Now the bad points; after being so relaxed, trying to get into the wrong room with our key! We thought long and hard of any other bad things and honestly can’t think of any! Have stayed in a Sandals resort in the Caribbean and our holiday in Beach View was better! Mehr

A great stay at the Beachview Hotel. It is located in St. James, Barbados.We arranged an airport transfer with the hotel prior to our arrival. We were greeted as soon as we arrived to Beachview. The ladies at reception are very helpful and friendly. The manager was very kind to give us a tour of our suite. It was a great large living space with all […] the required amenities. It was on the first floor overlooking the beach. A great area as the beach is literally right across the street. (5 min walk). The beach can stretch down 1-2 km. The beaches are named differently as you contiue to walk down the beach. Within a 10 min walk on the beach called Paynes Beach, there is a place you can rent lounge chairs + Umbrellas. Also if you're a strong swimmer you can swim up to the sea turtles in the area. Beachview is walking distance to a few restaurants, a 24 hour gas station/convenience store. Also a great Roti place within 5 mins from the hotel. Staff was very helpful with excursions, special arrangements and recommendations. The pool was large and refreshing. It is one big swimming pool split into a kids and adults swimming pool. I would definately come back to Beach View. Mehr

If we had stayed longer, we may have preferred a 3rd floor appt. The beach is across the street from the hotel but for a nice place to sit, you need to walk approx. 5 minutes. The hotel is close to Holetown, a nice place with excellent restaurants. To go from place to place we mostly took the city bus (BBD2 or USD 1). While we normally like to rent cars, the bus service to the various destinations was very convenient. We did however rent a Moke for one day to visit the Island. It's great when it doesn't rain. The Beach View apartments are well equipped and maintained to a very high standard. The rooms are large and airy with great views over the pool, gardens and Caribbean Sea. Air conditioning is only in the bedrooms but I understand that plans are in place to install them in the lounge/dining room - which is a necessity! The staff are extremely helpful […] – from booking airport transfers and food orders prior to arrival to trips and taxis. The manager’s weekly cocktail party had a lovely atmosphere where guests had a chance to meet. There are many nice touches from the management team such as free iced water by the pool and an honesty bar for cold drinks. Pool toys are available to borrow as is beach equipment such as snorkels, flippers and surf boards. Snorkelling on the reef behind the fish market is great! Although we were dubious about holidaying in the rainy season, the short heavy showers were a welcome relief to the hot humid conditions – and its fun swimming in the rain! However, take care to avoid sunburn, as the sun is very powerful, even through the clouds. Walking far along the beach is difficult, particularly at high tide, as properties are often built up to the water’s edge. Unfortunately, access to food supplies was difficult. The local petrol station had a very small range of essentials but made super pizzas – half the price of delivery from the large pizza chains. Where was all the local fruit? - good quality produce was very scarce! The local fish market at the bottom of the road was really handy – swordfish steaks were wonderful, as was the cooking advice from the lady fishmonger. Flying fish were great - when available. Food was very expensive and restaurant charges were more than double the UK. The apartment’s kitchen facilities were therefore very useful. A car is a must to access the supermarkets along the ABC Highway. Travel on the manic local buses (reggae music blaring!) is an experience not to be missed - 2$BD to travel anywhere is great value! On very hot, humid days, air conditioning would have been extremely welcome in the main room, as we found ourselves having to leave doors constantly open which attracted insects, particularly at night. Lovely hotel. Unfortunately, our room was very close to a busy street with lots of traffic noise. Also, the closest beach (across the street) was very narrow so lots of traffic noise and fumes. But a very reasonable price for a west coast hotel.

I just returned from Barbados and really enjoyed staying at Beach View. The staff is top notch and attended to any need I had. The grounds are immaculate and the hotel is quiet and relaxing. My room was huge! Great kitchen and living room to relax in during the evening.

This hotel complex is a family run operation with an informal friendly style where nothing is too much trouble (booking excursions, restaurant reservations etc), the spacious well appointed apartments are maintained to a high standard and the daily maid service is excellent. The pool area is well maintained with a friendly communal atmosphere and the […] cafe serves a good selection of snacks and drinks and I can recommend the bacon & egg breakfast roll. We found the hotel location to be very good, it is across the road from the beach and after a short walk along the shore line it opens out onto a large well served beach, it is located within walking distance of a number of very good restaurants that includes The Cliff (Exclusive) and Scarlet which is fun, friendly and reasonably priced. For getting around we would recommend a car but Hole town with its shopping and restaurants is easily reached by taxi if you did not want to drive. Mehr

The appartements are great except for the northern block (paw paw) where we were placed. They have no balconies and are very close to a very trafficated road. Beach is just across the road. Lots of traffic noice and exhaust smell from buses etc on the beach. Cannot send kids to cross the road alone since it would be very high risk with buses / trucks […] etc driving very fast by. Again - Appartements and service are very good, but if you are into the beach and swimming this is not the place for you. Mehr

こちらのホテル（コンドミニアムタイプ）に４泊しましたが、部屋の状態、スタッフの方々のホスピタリティなど全て満足いくものでとても快適に過ごすことができました。 ホテルオーナーの方が宿泊客の方を自宅（ホテルの近く）に招待してくれ、そこで簡単なカクテルパーティーが催され、絶景をみながら夕食を食べることができとても感激しました。 部屋にはキッチンがあり、自炊ができるため家族連れの方などにはさらに便利だと思います。２週間など長期で滞在する場合、ホテルにレストランがないため（朝食、昼食のみ食べられる簡易なカフェがあります）自炊をしない場合、毎回夕飯はホテル外のレストランへ食べに行くことになり、その点はちょっと面倒かもしれません。ただホテル徒歩圏内にいくつかおいしいレストランがあります。
