Baby Quail Inn - Sedona

This is a great little place to stay. Folks who own it are wonderful and lots of fun to talk with. You won't be disappointed with a stay here. It is a little off the beaten path but easy to find and Sedona is small enough that one doesn't need to be right in the center of town. We would stay here any time we visit Sedona in the future.

Great place away from tourist crowds, but still close enough to everything. Dick and his team are really helpful and give great advice about the touristic attractions. Absolutely recommendable!

Staying at the Baby Quail Inn in Sodona was very delightful, easy to find and accessible parking. The place is a little small but it is for a price no one can beat. And you get to meet the owner and his wife, real celeberties and very nice poeple. We recommend this place at least for one night.

We loved meeting Dick Curtis and seeing his "museum" of movie and tv star pictures" We will definitely stay there again.

This quaint inn was a lovely small get-away from the hustle/bustle of Sedona's tourist attractions. Our hosts were kind, open persons who spent time talking with their guests. I found that all the staff were very kind and helpful. They made good recommmendations for places to dine and also places to see more of the sedona culture. Our room was smallish […] but it was quite clean and set out in a welcoming style. The hot-tub was hot! Gatherings in the evening were a part of the great experience we had there. The grounds of the inn are well kept and inviting for someone to sit down and rest. We plan on visiting this inn again as it is quite affordable and also already has good memories for us. Mehr

The hotel is quaint. Only 12 rooms. The rooms are very clean. It feels like a motel, however, and we were able to hear footsteps at odd times at night. Overall it was comfortable. I was quite amazed with this place for the price. Very cute and well taken care of. The owners and staff are very helpful and upbeat.

Delightful spot to stay, reasonable price, genial host, friendly staff! We will return soon and tell others to stay here.

My wife and myself stayed in the hotel during 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. Non- Smoking Hotel with Hot Taub outside and very clean and comfortable rooms. I had nine days of training in Sedona, and the Inn was wonderful. It was affordable and nice- since I was at training 11 hours each day, it was a great little place to come home to and relax. I was there as a single guest on business for a couple days. The room was clean and everything worked mostly. I unplugged the refrigerator because it was extremely noisy. The TV was an old standard definition model with a built-in VCR. The room was OK for me because the cost was reasonable, considering the shortcomings, and the room was clean and warm […] enough on a snowy night. Breakfast was fine. Great Location! Enjoyed the Hot Tub, Continenal breakfast and chatting with the owner an ex-Hollywood Actor.

We picked the Baby Quail based on price, location, and reviews. It's a small inn, locally owned, so it will be a different experience than staying at a big chain. While the rooms were small, they were recently remodeled and the bathroom was fantastic. It had a walk-in shower, a heater, a hair dryer, and a magnifying mirror. Yes, the TV was small as […] some other reviews note - but we didn't go on vacation to watch TV! It made no difference to us. The only issue we experienced was a loud mechanical humming noise that came on periodically. We thought it was a heater or something. Again, didn't really affect us much, and the service and hospitality of the owners and staff more than made up for one minor noise. We were given lots of suggestions on what to do around town, and the ones we tried were fantastic. They even made dinner reservations on our behalf! The location was fantastic - almost perfectly centered between east and west Sedona. Everything was nearby. The grounds were very well maintained and beautifully landscaped, and the neighborhood was very quiet. We can't wait to get back to Sedona and will definitely stay at the Baby Quail. Mehr

All the hotel staff we met was super friendly, sweet, and very helpful. The room was small, but comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was very spacious. What a pleasant change from staying in another chain motel! Small,quaint and friendly! The rooms are small, and probably not a good idea if you have children, but they are affordable and clean. This 12 unit motel has a bit of a retro feel, something you might have found on Hiway66, only with better decor. My room had recently been updated from top to bottom. The linens were nice and loved the blanket. I could tell that everything was new and clean. The room had a refrigerator and microwave. The only problem I had was not being able to get calls put thru after 8 pm. My cell phone was dead and I didn't have a charger, so I was kind of stuck until the […] morning when staff arrived. If I had my phone charger, this would not have been a problem. It was nice to go down for coffee and fruit and to meet other guests in the morning. The hotel owner came in to say hello and tell us about his acting memorabilia on the walls. This is a very cute, albeit small and unpretentious place in a kind of funky residential part of West Sedona. It's owned a run by a former TV sitcom character actor who is very charming. The only complaint would be that they could upgrade the continental breakfast to include some local, freshmade baked goods and toast with spreadablesto cut down on […] the carb and sugar quotient. A nice change of pace from the commercial hotels. Felt very comfortable there. Only suggestion would be that while breakfast was very adequate, I feel they should really have some type of fruit juice with it. I would stay there again if in the area. The owner was most pleasant to speak with.

W-Fi did hot work for my computer, but it was fine in Heart of Sedona cafe across the street.

After a long drive in very hot weather we were looking for a soak in the hot tub only to find that the heater wasn't working. They suggested we use it with cold water but from prior experience we knew this wasn't healthy so we did not. It wasn't getting fixed for a week. Twice now we've emjoyed our stay at the BQI. We plan to do it again and again.

The motel room/ bathroom was nice and clean. Though located outside sedona downtown the drive is scenic. The owner had quite a history so don't forget to meet him.

In addition to being very clean and comfortable, the room was also beautifully decorated, more like a nice home than a hotel room. The staff was very friendly and personable, and we also enjoyed meeting the owner, who was there at breakfast, and hearing about his life (and seeing photos, etc., in the museum-like breakfast room).

Very nice man at front desk. The inn was cozy and clean with a huge bathroom! Only a shower so no bath but all in all this was a great experience. It is located close to trails, close to uptown sedona as well. Enjoyed my stay in Sedona.

Great price value relationship. Clean & comfortable. Convenient location to trails, spas, restaurants and shopping. We stayed several nights at baby quail. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Surroundings were quiet except for Friday and Saturday night when music and laughing were heard from a tavern nearby till 2:00 am. But our room was on the back of the building. Clean, comfortable room but a little on the small side. Nice ensuite bathroom. Quiet location, within quick and easy drive to uptown. Basic breakfast. Would be fine for a short stay. Good value.

Misty was a sweetheart! She greeted me warmly & helped me find a place to have dinner my first night. The staff was always available & very helpful. I really loved the outdoor patio area w/bird feeders hanging from the trees. Wish I had an opportunity to use the jacuzzi...maybe next time:-)

I picked this Inn because of the high reviews on the internet and I was not disappointed. If you want big and fancy then its not for you, but if you want quiet and quaint for a fair price, then you'll love it.

Clean, old motel type of place! Small TV can't really view from bed (because it's so small) tiny refrigerator. Staff are very nice, helpful, etc. The no smoking property is serious (which I like) you must leave the property to smoke! So if you have to have that cig every few hours you'll probably want a different lodging! Grounds are peaceful & relaxing. […] You will need transportation to go anywhere from this site. I'm not sure if the trolly comes close to this property, it's one block off of 89A. The rooms are all 1 bed & it's only a double/queen size! I wanted to go to Sedona for a few days and found this hotel. Prior to booking the reservation, I called the hotel to ask about the spa. The lady told me that they had a jacuzzi outside under the trees. So I booked there for three nights. The first day we went on a eight mile hike and came back that evening after dinner. I was looking forward to just […] relaxing in the jacuzzi and have a drink or two. I changes my clothing and took a couple beer down to the jacuzzi. When I got there, they had a sign on the gate saying no drinking in the jacuzzi. I went over to turn the jacuzzi on and there was an old looking piece of paper taped over the switch which said NO JETS. The jacuzzi was full of pine tree pieces. It took me about ten minutes to clean out the jacuzzi. I got in and it was like being in a hot water bathtub, NO JETS. The next morning I asked the lady at the desk why the jacuzzi was not working? She told me that the switch did not work, but because Sedona was such a small town, it was taking a long time to get it fix. Now this is a push buttom switch, you can get at any store. I live in a town of 3000 people and I could get something like this in two or three days. You could tell by the writing on the paper, being all washed out, that it had been on there for weeks or longer. After about a hour, I was tired of being in the outdoor bathtub and went up to the room to watch some TV. Well the TV was an old 14" with a vcr on top of it. NEEDS TO BE UP DATED. So if you are looking for a place to sleep, this is the place. If you are looking for some place to relax after a day of hiking, look some place else, this is not it. The next two nights after hiking and shopping, we went out to the local brewery to relax and came back late, because there was nothing to come back to. You know what I mean. Mehr

It is not a Hampton Inn, but clean, well maintained property, with frendly helpful employees. Nice outdood seating for breakfast or picnicing.Walking distance to good dinning.

The room was very clean but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We woke up every hour on the hour. When standing in an upright position, the foot of the bed was elevated unlike anything I've ever seen. I was looking for the remote thinking that it was an adjustable bed, and it wasn't. Will not stay there again.

We loved our stay at the Baby Quail and will definitely come back the next time we come to Sedona. The hotel owners are so sweet and our hotel room was very comfortable and clean.

This two-story (no elevator) motel was clean and close to the activities of Sedona. The owner gave us helpful hints on restaurants, shopping, and how to get to hiking areas. They provided a fan to cover up my snoring, and moved my sister and me to a king bed room also. There is an auto shop next door, but we did not hear any sounds during our stay. […] The room was very quiet. Continental breakfast was coffee/tea/pre-packaged muffins - juice would have been nice. We got there a couple hours after check in. The front desk man was friendly and informed. He was expecting us as he told me my name rather than the other way around. The room was nice, clean, comfortable both in bed and temp. The bathroom was very large, the shower was also big enough for 2 with plenty of hot water and a high shower head. I hate having […] to bend my knees to get my head underneath the stream. I'd suspect a person could be about 6'2'' even 6'3'' and be ok. The closet had 2 robes which was a nice touch. I read in the description that the rooms had dvd/vcr players. Our room was just a vcr. Maybe some rooms have dvd options and others not. If that's important to you, you should ask if your specific room is equipped. We woke up too late for the breakfast so I can't comment there, but there was a nice, small quiet place in back with a table where we ate some breakfast of our own. I picked this hotel, because it was close to a lot of the hiking and very reasonably priced. I was happy with my selection. If you don't need a huge room, and you are in Sedona to be outdoors this is a great spot. You are very close to down town shopping if you want to go there, yet don't have to fight that traffic every day. Also close to some amazing […] resturants and grocery shopping. two of the major trail roads, Solders pass road and Dry Creek road are seconds from this charming little Inn.
