is the worst experience I've had, before I make a reservation I always read the reviews, and all the reviews gave four or five stars, so I made the reservation at this hotel, but ,I do know if is a racism or what it is, but I got an old room, smelly and dirty, the money worth the same no matter what race we are, I found an empty beer bottle, it is inconceivable […] that things like that happen ... Very comfortable hotel. Many restaurants and movie theater on hotel grounds makes you feel like you are in a small city rather than a hotel. Will stay here again for sure

I would stay here again. The casino is pretty basic but we tried a few of the restaurants and bars and were very pleased with the service. The bakery was amazing. The room was nice though the bed wasn't extremely comfortable. All-in-all, I enjoyed my stay. Taking third in the Thursday night poker tournament and leaving with an extra $200 didn't hurt […] either. Mehr

I have stayed here many times ( on business ) and it is easy to find from the Airport. The hotel is large, the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel has a casino attached and lots of restaurant choices inside the hotel - handy if you don't want to leave the hotel. The only downsides for me are the smoking in the casino which can drift out into the […] main hotel area on a busy Saturday night and the lack of a gym - a hotel this size really should have a gym. The room is billed as a mini suite which is deceiving. It is just a regular hotel sized room. The beds were hard as a rock so I got no sleep and my entire body hurt after sleeping. The Ameristar was a great choice. Our room was spacious and very clean. The Ameristar has many restaurants on-site and a decent sized casino if you like to gamble. We got what seemed to be a basement room, sheets had holes, vanity had burn marks, didn't refill shampoo and lotions with maid service, no USA today paper delivered to door, no room service menu available and when called for one no one brought one. I had to go to the front desk and ask for one the next day. When checking out maids cart was blocking […] our way out and we had to squeeze through the doorway with our luggage. Valet retrieved our vehicle, but didn't help with putting luggage in our vehicle. This was my fourth stay at the Ameristar, and the worst. Especially in a mini player king suite. The hotel room was quiet, clean, comfortable, and I enjoyed the large space of the room and modern decor and comfort. Although the casino doesn't have the buzz going like it did 10 years ago, the Ameristar casino still has a Vegas-like feel with fantastic customer service.

The hotel ws more than we expected when we arrived. The room was very clean and staff was very friendly and helped out in every way they could. We ate at the buffet downstairs and the food was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone hands down. Great atmosphere for kids as well. Ours loved it and can't wait to go back.

Went to MLB all star game and they wouldn't offer a shuttle to the stadium. For as expebsive as it was each night I felt taken advantage of. Would've preferred the motel 6.

I had the worst experience at the ameristar in Kansas city. I called ahead of time to let the staff know we would not be there at check in time. They told us to come early and pre-check in and then after the game we would just have to pick up our keys. we went early and checked in. The hotel called me around noon saying our suite was ready, we arrived […] after the game to pick up our keys and after a little bit of a wait they gave me keys to a room. Turns out the room was just a standard room with only one bed, not the suite that we paid for. I went down to the front office and let them know of their mistake and they just turned me over to another employee. He then gave me another set of keys to a differnt room. When we went up to this new room it was now a standard two queen bed room. They gave us another wrong room! when I go to the font desk they tell me to wait and continue helping other guests. I stood waiting for another 30 minutes so I just asked for the manager. When she finally arrives she tells me they gave our room away and now have no room for us.They ended up having to split me and my party into two different rooms because there was no other suite ready. It was extremely unprofessional and inconvenient for my guests and I. I will never stay here or at any ameristar again. I was treated with the worst hospitality and will never forget how rude the employees were to me. I suggest you take your money elsewhere if you want good service and organized employees. Mehr

Had to ask for a different room only because we weren't given the room we requested. Had to wait about half an hour when we showed up. But, there was no problem with the change and someone brought up our keys to the new room and even offered to carry our bags. Dim lighting in the bathroom area, if the ladies are fixing their face. Nice hotel overall, the hotel portion is connected to the casino. Hotel rooms do not match the look and feel of the lobby and the casino. Don't get me wrong, the hotel room is still better than average hotels. It just wasn't as nice as the casino and lobby of the hotel. Overall, this is one of the better hotels we have stayed at and were overall pleased […] with the environment. Our room wasn't ready when we got there we waited an hour and my parents wait 1.5 hours.. They didn't offer any sympathy.. I was there with my two young kids who were ready for nap and they seen that. not happy.

service was good. didnt get the room i requested, and you wouldnt offer a jaccuzzi suite to me when i requested one. i really was wanting a romantic get away with my other half. but got stuck with 2 queen beds in our room. other than that nice place to stay, will probably come back again.

Stayed for 7 nights during a business trip. It was a great place to call "home" for a week. The staff went out of the way to be friendly. The Falcon Bakery was a great way to begin the day with a hot breakfast whlie the Pub & Steakhouse had great meals for finishing the day. I will go back!

The Hotel was very nice, got a player's mini suite. No complaints about the room and hotel service was very good as well. The Casino was not friendly taking mine and my wife's stake very early in the evening allowing us to spend more time in the suite.

The most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Loved the room, the valet service, the bellboy, the casino, the theater, the arcade, the burger king. We were treated like royalty. We were travelling back from 3 weeks in Florida. This hotel had more wow factor for the kids than anything we saw at Disney.

Perfect location. Just 10-15 from downtown, the plaza, and worlds of fun. Hotel looks great. Lots of things to do inside too! Casino was ok but we were staying for the kin suite. BIG BIG BIG. We had a view of the river. The bed was ok comfortable (my wife thought it was amazing) but very clean. A little disappointed that we just had a normal tub/shower […] unlike the pictures, but for the price it was an overall good stay. The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful. It would be nicer if they had an outdoor sun terrace and pool because most people don't just want to be in the casino all the time. Apart from this we had a very enjoyable stay.

Loved the quality and location of Ameristar. The staff was extremely Pleasant and polite. The hotel is a short easy drive to royals and chiefs stadium as well as worlds of fun. I booked 2 rooms and they were on the 6th and 9th floors when we checked in.....Said we needed to be closer than that....so put us in a handicap room which was very sparse....and then had to paid an upgrade to stay in a suite for the other room....they were both on the same floor but at different ends of the hall. Seemed that had I booked dirrectly […] with the hotel things would have been different. Mehr

Rooms were nice and so was the staff. We came to town for a concert at Sprint Center, cab ride downtown and back was a little over 50.00. I would not hesitate to stay at Ameristar when we come back to KC.
