Inn at USC - Columbia

Several things recommend the Inn at USC to me. The breakfast buffet is better than the usual and is included with the room. The rocking chairs on the front veranda and the small library near the front desk are excellent places to relax and converse. Enjoyed our stay at the Inn of USC. Inn was peaceful and clean. Morning breakfast was very nice. Lobby with early evening drinks and buffet snacks wwas a nice treat. Library with computer had nice home feeling. Found staying at the Inn much more relaxing than a high rise hotel with the hustle bustle of alot of people. Think Inn should offer a frequent […] flyer program for parents who have kids attending USC and are out of state. A discount price for parents would be very nice and an attractie offer for parents. We were really disappointed in this hotel. The desk staff failed to inform us of the daily breakfast or of the bar in the side lobby at night. Room was small--bathroom even smaller. Room needs an update. We won't stay here again.

Stay 2 nights this past weekend and I LOVE this hotel. Beautiful building and interior, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, just a WONDERFUl experience. Will be staying here next time I am in Columbia. Also, the night time male concierge were all super sexy ;) haha! Will recommend!

Very comfortable and clean room. Conveniently located near downtown. Wish the bar was bigger, but would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel at the campus. Very clsoe to downtown and all the nice restaurants. Easy to get to and the clerks at the desk are excellent. There is no dinning at the hotel except for breakfast which is included. Very light which is good. No bar if you want a glass of wine. Other than that the hotel is very nice.

Overall nice stay, very quiet and clean. Did not have hot water for showers either day, no explanation provided. Breakfast was fantastic but about 30 minutes prior to the closing time they stop restocking items. Would stay again.

Very helpful and courteous staff. We have twin babies and they provided a pack-n-play, which was helpful. Also, I had to check-out while my husband was in a meeting and although they do not offer bell hop services they were kind enough to get a house cleaning person to help me carry things to my car--And he was extremely sweet about helping me! The […] accommodations are nice--although the bathrooms are a bit cramped like usual hotels. The breakfast is AMAZING--I especially love their biscuits and gravy! Very convenient to the campus. The friendly staff was very helpful and provided good suggestions. Rooms were clean and comfortable-one of the more comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. Very nice manager's reception, but breakfast was just so-so.

One cannot but enjoy the Inn at USC! The staff is courteous and attentive. The decor is Southern comfort and one will not leave the breakfast table hungry! In the evening, there is a gathering time about 5:30 for snacks and a cash bar. And don't forget to pick up your complimentary cookies. Enjoy! We certainly did.

We loved this hotel. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was fantastic. Even the microwave and small refrigerator were above average. The internet was easy and reliable. The heater was very quiet and easy to control. The only negative was that the carpet needed to be replaced and the bathtub drained slowly. There were no restaurants […] within easy walking distance, but this was not a huge problem since we were out driving places everyday anyway. Great hotel! Mehr

The hotel is great, no complaints at all, and at a very good price. My only complaint is that when I called the toll free number the day of my reservation to see if I could check in early, I got a voice mail menu that kept rolling me to other voice mail options, none of which addressed my issue. I finally was able to reach a live person, who was in […] Mumbai, and didn't really understand what I was asking. Finally, she put me on hold for about 5 minutes, and then came back on to tell me she would have to call the hotel to get an answer to my question. I said, why don't you just give me the number you're going to call and let me call it. She did, and two minutes later I was told I could check in any time. This is definitely a case where the business efficiency of outsourcing calls overseas is outweighed by the resulting customer inconvenience. Once I was in the hotel, though, all was fine. Mehr

Was nothing but impressed with my recent stay here. Everything from the appearance, decor, cleanliness, and friendliness of the staff. Can not say enough! Can't wait to return...

Hotel is right on campus, so able to walk to all buildings and meetings. Staff very friendly. A great spot.

We had a wonderful time at the Inn at USC. The room and bathroom were both extremely clean. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding!! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay downtown Columbia, located in the heart of USC campus.

We were very happy with the price and amenities of this hotel. There was always water (the spa kind with cucumbers or watermelon), lemonade and sweet tea in the lobby. We heard about the cookies also but never got any...bummer! The breakfast each morning was really good, especially with the cook-to-order omeletes, pancakes, waffles, french toast, etc. […] It is a very pretty hotel also and in a great location. We would definitely stay here again! The only thing I would say that I didn't like was that the front desk staff seemed a little clueless. The check-in process took longer than usual and I had to specifically ask for a parking decal for my car rather than being offered one. Since this is on the USC campus, the decals are required. Also, I rated the cleanliness of the room at a 3 since the carpets were dirty. Mehr

Great hotel. Had a super stay. They have a wonderful breakfast.

Love to stay at the Inn whenever we are down in the Columbia. The breakfast is great and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Love the fact the hotel is on campus and we can walk down to Five Points in minutes and a short drive to the Vista with many restaurants to choose from.

Nice hotel. The location was great as it is across the street from the University of South Carolina Campus. Good breakfast. Easy parking. Close to five point.
