Gute Option, wenn man mit dem Zug anreist. Für eine Geschäftsreise auch ganz in Ordnung. Nur der Service ist verbesserungsbedürftig - man verspricht etwas und vergisst man das. Am nächsten Tag das selbe... Das Frühstück eher wie in einem 3-Sterne-Hotel.

Good place for us, we did a family trip with of adults and a five year old child for four days in Budapest. Very friendly and helpful crew, the rooms are comfortable and well kept. Das Hotel ist in einem guten Zustand und die Räumlichkeiten entsprechen den Bildern auf der Hotelseite. Lediglich die Umgebung ist nicht die Beste.

alles super.nur manchmal muss man beim frühstücken warten bis man dran ist.

Das Hotel liegt zwar in einer Nebenstrasse, aber durch die Nähe einer Hauptverkehrsstrasse (6-spurig) ist der Strassenlärm, insbesondere durch die zum nicht weit entfernt liegenden Krankenhaus mit Sonderrecht fahrenden Rettungsdienstfahrzeuge bei Zimmern zur Strasse (trotz Lärmschutzfenster) recht unangenehm. Das Angebot, den Service des Hotels haben wir sehr geschätzt und gut erlebt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut gerechtfertig. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Hotel hat uns gut gefallen. Würden wieder dort übernachten. Der Frühstücksraum ist zu klein.Die Gänge zwischen den Tischen und der Abstand zum Buffet sind zu klein.

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des Ost-Bahnhofes Keleti pályaudvar. Das Centrum ist mit der U-Bahn M2 (Deák Ferenc ter) in 3 Stationen ab Keleti pu. bequem und schnell zu erreichen. Das Hotel selbst ist nach Renovierung im Jahr 2009 sehr modern eingerichtet (Zimmer mit Laminat), hell und uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Bei geöffnetem Fenster […] leichte Geräuschkulisse, was aber bei einem Cityhotel nicht Nachteilig sein sollte. Pluspunkt: LAN ist kostenlos! Staff very helpful is advising on local restaurants,tours etc - very obliging. Bedroom and ensuire very small, but adequate for length of stay. Room (No 200) located on ground floor, so very noisy, especially as smokers congregated outside window. Breakfast was very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's ceteral location three stations from the downtown by subway. The staff give very good advice for restaurants and attractions.

I found the Bristol to be a great value for the price: Comfy, clean, quiet, and tastefully appointed room; extremely accommodating staff; nice breakfast; good location. Definitely a pleasant establishment whose employees are friendly and helpful. This property is only a short distance from the Budapest Keleti Railway station. I wish I had known that […] before arriving, as I unnecessarily paid about 10 euro for a taxi ride. The Bristol is just off Racoczi ut, one of the main thoroughfares leading through Pest toward the Danube and Buda - quick and easy access to public transport. Mehr

The hotel is beautifuly decorated and extremely comfortable. The staff we're helpful and I couldn't find fault with anything within the hotel walls. The location wasn't the best, I felt we were situated a little too far out of town, but we did buy the 'Budapest card' which meant we could get unlimited public transport. Hotel is very close to the metro […] line so getting into town didn't take long (and it was very regular ...TIP: check out multiday tickets available from ticket machines at station, they could be way cheaper if you're don't avail of all the functions of the budapest card). II really enjoyed my stay here. Very welcoming staff - especially Andras. I asked for a kettle etc. in my room and one was brought within minutes. Do take some ordinary tea bags as I could only find fruit-flavoured ones or Earl Grey. And no milk! My initial impression of Room 104 was that it was rather 'brown' however all rooms on this floor seem to […] have similar modern decor. Great shower and excellent fixtures in the bathroom. Location of the hotel is good though not exactly central. Public transport in Budapest is very efficient and trams run every 2 or 3 minutes. If you are 65 and over you travel for free so take some ID with you and leave your passport in the room safe. Breakfasts are good and the Douwe Egbert machine makes excellent coffee. Restaurant staff are attentive and efficient. Beware the very watery orange juice and opt for apple. Fresh fruit offered too. I used the airport shuttle bus which is a lot cheaper than a taxi and the driver will drop you off outside the hotel. Mehr

I was very pleased with the hotel, was clean and tidy. Good value for money and good location for bars, restaurants, boat trip, shops, etc. If returned to Budapest would stay here again.

the location is near the metro station, service is good, price is reasonable, free wifi and breakfast, the breakfast is ok but I think the hotel can improve more

Hotel was clean and staff helpful. Breakfast was very average but what has really lowered the score is the quality of the air conditioning, at what was best warm temperature £(22-23oC) thesystem barely managed to cool the room, I hate to think what its like when the temperature in Budapest gets to 30oC.

This is a smallish business type hotel. Our room was very clean and everything worked fine. The decor is typically business hotel style and all quite modern. The bed was comfortable if a little hard. Breakfast was acceptable but not remarkable. The staff were efficient and in the main very helpful. They also have a luggage room if you want to leave your bags after check out for the day. The hotel location was great for us as we were visiting family in that area. However, it is in one of the less glamorous parts of the city. We found it quite safe as long as you were careful. Easy to get to the city sights on the metro. On balance I would recommend this hotel to friends but their are better hotels closer to the city for a little more money. Mehr

Nice hotel, very friendly staff, usual hot/cold buffet breakfast, clean rooms & looks newly renovated. No restuarant service but nearby food places and supermarkets. Family room was good size but balcony doors (2nd floor) were left unlocked and we barricaded with furniture to prevent young climbers getting into danger. Playground very close (park behind […] hotel) and hop on/off to ur bus stop is just across the road. A bit away from the tourist spots but can be walked in approx 20 minutes. Mehr

Excellent and very friendly service, clean and (for European standards) large rooms, very good breakfast -- all very fairly priced. Absolutely no complaints with the hotel and its staff. Much better than most hotels that we have stayed in the past few years. It is a bit remote from main tourist locations (e.g., 25-30 minute walk to Chain Bridge), and the neighborhood is a bit substandard (e.g., a peep show joint is next door). However, we had no issues, and neither did our children. You can catch a public bus, a tourist bus or a subway within 5 minutes walk. Mehr

Very nice, convenient hotel, located close to center! As family of four we got nice and big room! Excellent breakfast, although restaurant area was rather squeezed! There is no parking, but close to hotel is another one which has limited parking lots! Be aware to book in advance! Anyway, all recommendation for families staying in Budapest!

This hotel was chosen from positive reviews and for its proximity to the main rallway station. This latter quality has a down-side however - the surroundings (including an adjacent strip joint) could be offputting. However, the level of service offered by all staff was excellent. Coffee-making facilities were given free of charge on request, with regular […] top-ups on demand; a delayed check-out was quickly organised; useful information about nearby shops was provided. As this was a business trip where meals are a necessity not an adventure, the only downside for me was the lack of restaurant facilities at the hotel. This is a bed and breakfast hotel only. On the plus side, the free in-room wi-fi connection was fast and stable and the breakfast most acceptable. The room is large with IKEA-type furniture (as already described by others), although there are less TV channels than advertised. The bathroom is also large and modern, with a commendable shower arrangement. The Hotel Bristol is one of the best hotels we have stayed at. From the friendly & helpful staff to the cleanliness of the rooms through to the excellent breakfast on offer. The beds were firm but comfy, the power shower was always hot and the room well appointed with a free digital safe and tea making facilities upon request. The free sauna was a godsend […] after a long day sightseeing. The surrounding area is a little seedy but relatively safe with some good shops, bars and restaurants closeby. Also closeby were the connections for the Metro, buses and trams - although a 15 minute walk would get you to the city centre. If we returned to Budapest I would certainly return to the Hotel Bristol - first class. Mehr

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff on reception were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room staff were not quite as friendly but it wasn't a problem - just eat and go! My room was quiet and very clean. All in all a very good experience.

The hotel is a very good clean and tidy hotel,the receptionist were all very good and were only too pleased to help you with any problems as were the waiting staff. We had a room on the second floor facing the courtyard it was very clean and quiet, we didn`t hear anyone from any rooms except the odd slamming door in the morning. The only problem was […] the smoke alarm above the bed kept me awake as I don`t sleep too deeply and the flashing really annoyed me but by moving my pillows to the bottom of the bed it was fine. The area around the hotel is as in many cities a bit untidy but don`t let that put you off from staying here. The city centre is about ten to fifteen minutes easy walk away and if you don`t mind walking you can easily get from one end of the city to the other. The metro etc is easily accessible and cheap. The food is not really Hungarian it`s just a mixture of allsorts and not too cheap in the main eating areas but there are places to eat cheaper. All in all it is a good place to visit if you are looking for a few days away, I would personally say that three days is plenty to see the city or if you want to visit all the museums etc allow yourself another two days. When you consider that for a few Euro's less you are staying in a hostel or a fleabag, to find a very clean, attractive, modern hotel (including a good breakfast and free internet) in this price range is a treasure. I don't get to Budapest often, but I know where I will stay next time. There was even a room safe big enough for my laptop! I've paid a […] lot more to get a lot less. Mehr

I will recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Budapest! This hotel is a five minute walk from the train station and metro stop, and then it's 15 minutes to anywhere you want to go by metro. The service was impeccable, and the staff was helpful and courteous. The breakfast buffet had variety and was always well stocked. I was very satisfied with the hotel overall.

Bristol was nice, it was very very clean because it was just opened. By European standards, the room was huge (single was big enough for two travelers for sure). Room is decorated in an IKEA style, with wood floors, light bedding and modern applicances. Also the included breakfast is very American rather than the standard European bread and cold cuts […] selection - there were hot foods too. The service is very good, the reception desk guys all speak perfect English and are quick to recommend good tours, etc. My only negatives with the hotel are the area (a little out of the way, in Dist. VII, near the Keleti train station - one of the crappier stations - to catch the M2 subway, and a 10 minute walk to Erszebet street where the tram runs). The nearby area is a little dicey, peep shows and strip clubs and seedier looking bars, and a car got broken into on the side street the hotel is on -- but, for the price, that's what you get (you couldn't stay in a hotel that nice and clean closer to the city center's good neighborhoods for that cheap). Also, the hotel opened too early -- many features weren't yet ready. For example, the "fitness room" downstairs is not yet operational, and more than half the tv channels aren't yet available because they haven't set them up yet. So if you're going in the very near future you might run into the same issues. Overall a very good hotel for the price if you prioritize clean facilities and comfort and don't mind inconvenience from the city center. Mehr

Dette er 5 gangen vi bruker dette hotellet stille og rolig beliggenhet men sentralt mht metro ,trikk og buss

Mycket prisvärt hotell med praktiskt läge nära busshållplats. Rent och fräscht, bra frukost och trevlig personal. Vi var jättenöjda.

Kort fortalt, et bra og veldrevent hotell. Eneste ankerpunktet er beliggenheten, da det etter mye vandring i byen føltes "litt" for langt unna sentrum. Angir ca. 35 min gange til sentrale deler av byen, men uten at dette i seg selv er en så avskrekkende avstand. I tillegg er det enkelt å finne frem, da det følger en hovedgate. Det er også en godt trafikkert […] vei, noe som gjorde at det føltes sikkert å bevege seg dit på natterstid. Til opplysning koster det òg bare rundt 53kr (2000 HUF) for såkalt Innercity-taxi, uansett tid på døgnet. Viktig å være klar over de egentlige takstene! Mehr
