SpringHill Suites by Marriott Wichita East at Plazzio - Wichita

We found the staff at the Springhill Suites in Wichita to be very friendly, providing quick check in and check out with ease. The lobby breakfast was filled with an option for each of our family's desires, from fresh hot waffles, to cold cereals, fresh fruit, juices, coffees, teas, fresh pastries, and bagels. The employees responsible for setting up the breakfast line were efficient in stocking additional items as more guests arrived and also maintained an above average cleanliness of the area. The property was within an easy drive of the downtown, waterway area, shopping, and a wide variety of restaurants. A plus for our family was the fact that there was a well know sportings goods store that had just opened a week before that was about two miles from this property. Our room was outfitted with a small refrigerator, a microwave, and internet service along with two queen beds and a pull out couch. The room was close to being immaculate. Mehr

Very nice hotel for the price! Clean, quiet, full breakfast. I would edefinitely recommend.

We spent three days in Wichita and this hotel was just the perfect place to stay... Good breakfast, clean and quite rooms, nice flat screen TV, good bed, and awesome little pool to chill out for a bit.

I don't know who made the reservation for my room from our company, so this issue maybe on our end- I told my supervisor that I needed a handi-cap room with a roll-in shower. When I made it to the room, it was a handi-cap room, but did not have a roll-in shower. I should have been able to use the tub with the fold down seat, but getting the drain plug […] to drain caused me a problem. I leaned too far forward in my manual wheel chair reaching for the plug, that the wheel chair became upweighted on the locked rear wheels and dumped me forward. This is partially my fault in that I am used to my motorized chair which is heavier and I can make such a reach without tipping the scooter forward. It would have been nice to have the drain set to drain from the get-go. Needless to say, I spent the next 45 minutes making it to the bed on the floor to get up and return to my wheel chair. Fortunately, the floor was clean, only an ink pen under the bed! I can't get up off the floor directly, even with grab bars. After my incident with the floor, I was too late and too exhausted to try getting to the shower seat. I elected for a sponge bath instead. My two cents, please train your reservation personnel to inquire as to the full handi-cap needs when registering. Most people don't know the different needs of hand-cap individuals. A handi-cap room is a handi-cap room and they think they have you fixed up. A handi-cap room without a roll in shower is far different than a handi-cap room with the roll-in shower for some of us. Our personnel maybe as guilty of this mis-conception, but your reservation people should understand the difference in your line of business, and ask the right questions when making the reservation. There again, I don't know if the miss communication was from our end or not? The other issue is the distance between the end of the bed and the door to the bathroom. super breakfast and omeletes and oatmeal and fresh coffee. mmm. Quite local, clean place.

You will be pleased when you walk in to see such a nice new hotel, but the people that run it prevent the nice stay. desk clerks that would rather talk on their cell phones than talk to the real people at the desk. Managers unwilling to address the loud people in the next room at 2 am. Breakfast that is free that is so poor in quality that the cereal […] at the in hotel store is sold out by 7am on a sunday. Wish it would have been as good as it looked. The stay would have been a 4 if management would have stepped up and corrected the situation in the room next door. Hotel was very nice and clean. Breakfast was good but breakfast area was a little crowded both days we were there. Only problem we experienced was noise. Kids running in the hall and noisy people above us however we never reported it since it calmed down at bedtime.

Nice hotel, reasonably close to airport. Art deco rooms and lobby make for a fun change of pace. The room set-up helps make this a good place to stay. It is just ...right. Clean rooms and good continental breakfast made this a good stay. It was the staff that simply changed it into a great stay. Highly recommended.

But for me, this place earned it. All those reviews are spot-on. The entire hotel decor, from lobby to elevator landings to our suite, is tastefully inspired yet playful ... kinda speaks "it's time to RELAX and have a bit of fun!". Breakfast was bountiful and tasty, the bar was an unexpected nice touch, and the entire staff was friendly yet service-focused. […] The well-equipped workout area and indoor pool didn't disappoint either. As for the suite ... there were five of us (3 adults, 2 kids), so the sitting area was just the extra bit of space we needed to be comfy all in one room. The mini-kitchen proved handy for serving up snacks and beverages while in the room, and the window actually opens a bit to enjoy the sounds and breezes from outside. If I were designing the ideal lodging ... a place that's perfect for us 'on-a-budget' folks that still expect pampering and amenities... this would be it! Mehr

I would expect to spend a lot to stay at a Springhill, so normally I don't, but we were on a vacation/work trip so we decided to go for it and I was pleasantly surprised. The pool was good, the breakfast was great, everything was clean, and it was very comfortable and I would stay there again, if the price was right.

Hotel is located near the Water front mall and eatery's. Staff was curtious when we checked in. Rooms were very comfortable, spacious and very clean. Plenty of hanging space and storage. Bathrooms were very clean and updated. We enjoyed the hot breakfast entrees in the morning as well.

Very nice, new contemporary hotel. The bathroom was cold but other than that everything was extremely nice. Would recommend.

Very clean room with plenty of space. Enjoyed the soft, relaxing color scheme, also. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful with a most accommodating host/cook. One negative: the room could have used a bit more sound proofing as we could hear our neighbors' tv and muffled conversations at times. We just stayed 2 nights over Christmas weekend and were so impressed by the friendliness and helpfullness of the staff. The continental breakfast was one of the best we've ever eaten - lots of choices, good quality food. The rooms were spacious with very modern decor, nice sitting area w/couch and computer desk which is separate from the sleeping area. […] The lobby /dining room was very spacious and comfortable as well. We plan on making this our regular hotel whenever we travel to the Wichita area! Mehr

Very clean, beds were very comfortable. Rooms are a bit small but very nice. Staff was great, pool area very clean ...but wish there was an outdoor hottub!! Breakfast was okay and plentiful. I would definitely stay here again ........

We had a one night stay at this hotel. The hotel has been open for about a year and is decorated in a modern theme. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to stay at a "new" hotel. The breakfast included with your stay was very extensive and hit the spot in the morning. There is also a small bar (in the […] eating/lobby open area) that is open in the late afternoon/evening so you could get a drink. They offered reasonable specials for each night. We were not there long enough to use the pool or hot tub so not sure about that, but the area looked nice. Would certainly stay here again if in Wichita. Mehr

The hotel was fantastic for my needs. It's newish, spacious and in a convenient location for restaurants, shopping, etc. My only reservation is that on the middle day of my stay my room wasn't made up.

Our stay at the hotel was fantastic. Cleanliness is my main concern at any hotel, and this entire hotel was extremely clean. Loved the modern decor. Breakfast was great and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We had a party of 8 people staying and everyone LOVED this hotel. Very clean and modern. The breakfast was delicious. Our only "complaint" is that the pool is very small but it served its purpose for the kids. LOVED IT!

This hotel is everything we looked for: a wonderful, friendly atmosphere; friendly staff; beautiful, contemporary decor and inviting suites that provided that special weekend getaway we all need once in a while.

Very good hotel. Ok breakfast, room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Very good hotel and in a good area.

Great location! Variety of Resturants, movie theater, bowling, playing pool all within walking distance. Love the breakfast buffet very convient.No complaints.
