Hyde Park Suites - Apartments - London

Wir hatten das Glück, in dem Haus das Appartment zu haben, in dem auch die Rezeption ist. Das Hotel scheint aber sehr viele andere Gebäude, die nicht immer ganz in der Nähe sind, zu haben, in denen man auch untergebracht werden kann. Das Zimmer war wohl recht frisch renoviert worden. Leider hat man das kreisrunde Loch in der Fensterscheibe, das wohl […] vom alten Dunstabzug oder einer entfernten Klimaanlage stammte, schlichtweg so offen gelassen. Zum Glück hat es die Tage nicht geregnet... Nur zum Schlafen hats gereicht, die Lage ist sehr gut (zwei U-Bahnen direkt vor der Tür). Nochmal würde ich dennoch dort nicht hingehen. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt nur ein paar Gehminuten von Notthing Hill oder dem Hyde Park entfernt. Bus - und Tubeanbindungen sind auch in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Zimmer war klein aber gemütlich und sauber. Appartement war ganz ok. Bad war sehr klein. Hatten App. im 5. Stock mit 95 Stufen. Kein Lift im Haus. Aber war sauber und eigene Kochmöglichkeit.

Bei Ankunft stellte sich heraus, dass das gebuchte 3-Bett Zimmer lediglich ein Doppelbett hatte. Diese Umstand wurde nach langem hin und her (u.a. wurde ein "Zustellbett" angeliefert, welches nicht einmal als Strandliege zu gebrauchen wäre) bekamen wir dann ein neues Zimmer welches immerhin ein Schlafsofa hatte. Abgesehen von dem schmuddeligen Eingangsbereich […] (Müll, altes Waschbecken vor der Türe etc.) war die Einrichtung sehr gut und sauber. Leider wurde das Zimmer jedoch nicht ein einziges mal gereinigt... Alles in allem nicht unbedingt zu empfehlen. Auch die Gegend ist nicht die Beste. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt nur je 5 Minuten Fußweg entfernt von 2 U-Bahn-Stationen (verschiedene Linien: Central und Circle Lines) sowie vom Eingang zu Kensington Garden. Infrastruktur der Umgebung gut: Geschäfte, Supermarkt, Restaurants. Unsere Suite lag in einem ganz anderen Gebäude als die Rezeption, daher gab es nur minimalen Kontakt zum Personal. Das Apartment […] war ganz sauber und gut eingerichtet, auch ruhig aufgrund der Lage (Fenster in Hinterhof). Leider bot die Straße selbst keinen so schönen Anblick, da ständig Müllsäcke herumlagen und, noch schlimmer, morgens Flaschen vor vielen Hauseingängen lagen - möglicherweise von Gästen eines nahegelegenen Hostals. We're a family of 4 (2 adults 2 children). this apartment is close to Queensway shops just one block away, so we can buy everythings we need for our breakfasts and dinners. the kitchen is good enough for preparing the meals. to subway stations Queensway and Bayswater, it's just 5 minutes to walk. another 5 minutes walk you can reach Hyde Park. the street […] this apartment located is very clean and beautiful, a typical London mid-class suburban, you always feel safe in the evening. From the moment we were "greeted" by the person at the front desk (extremely rudely) we knew we were in for trouble! It only got worse when we got to the room. We were not expecting the Ritz, but, we also were not looking for a room that was a step or two below a homeless shelter. The first thing we saw were dirty, uncovered, worn wood floors. The walls […] and ceilings were filthy and every area was in disrepair. The kitchen had seen its best days about 30 years ago and was in desperate need of renovation. The windows had no drapes and were covered by dirty shutters that looked like they were from WWII. The bathroom was dirty, tiny and also in desperate need of a major facelift. The shower was tiny and the water pressure was like a geriatric hampster with prostate problems! I cannot say with any more emphasis that it was a complete waste of time to stay at this terrible hotel. Even more than half of the TV channels did not work, they were just a jumbled mess! There were multiple light fixtures which had obvious electrical burning around them and did not work. The microwave rocked back and forth when you used it. This apartment was worse than anything I have ever stayed in, even during my college years! Mehr

The one bedroom apartment looks nice in the pics but in reality is very tiny. Not much ventilation and poor heating. No electric sockets near the beds for charging cell phones and no reading lights near the beds. Kitchen was well equippped with good appliances. Most crockery is chipped though. The main entrance foyer is quite dirty and poorly lit. The […] area near the elevator on ground floor has virtually no light. The intercom does not work so when your guest comes in you have to go all the way down to open the main access door. There is absolutely no house keeping if you stay less than 7 days so be prepared to take along tons of kitchen towels and toilet paper. Not even emptying the garbage bins daily. Staff is good at the front desk. The location is fabulous so that makes up for most of the draw backs. Mehr

Location within 200m from two different subway line stops, Hyde Park, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets. Room condition was ok, but the third bed was really bad. Anyhow, we mentioned this in the reception and got a new mattress which was better. The kitchen had everything necessary for cooking (pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, cups, toaster, kettle and […] so on). We stayed for four nights, towels were changed once, but no other cleaning was done. Couldn't really wish for anything more for the price we paid, so I'd recommend this place for those not expecting a five star place for this price :) Mehr

For a budget hotel, it was fair. The appartment size was very good, but the beds were uncomfortable. We were 4 people with one bedroom and one pullout sofa bed that was very small for a teenager and young adult. The extra pullout couch was broken and uncomfortable to sit in. There was a skylight that was over the pullout bed which looked up into the […] apartment above. Full conversations could be heard as if we were sharing a room with the people upstairs. The front desk service was very good and very helpful. The apartment was clean but the sinks did not drain very well. We travelled to 3 different countries on our vacation and stayed in low budget hotels and apartments. London's apartment was the most expensive. We would have considered looking for another hotel if we hadn't paid for it in full before hand. Mehr

Pleased with the overall standard of the room. Stayed in worse 4* hotels. Double room with little kitchen & seating area suited our needs for 3 nights. Street does have other hotels on it so expect some noise of passers by late at night. However, location excellent as you have access to Queensway & Bayswater Tube less than 5 min walk. Kensington Gardens […] at top of street & if you like walking you can easily enjoy a walk to Marble Arch where you can get the sightseeing tour buses. A great central location allowing you to get to all the obvious tourist attractions very quickly by tube. Mehr

We stayed here for 5 nights! And we just realized that the towels would only change every 3rd day of our stay! And the house-keeper only came to our room to collect the old towels and replaced the new one! That is! I can accept this arrangement coz it is a self service apartment but would appreciate much if towels can be changed daily! One thing surprised […] me is that we have to go to the recetion (not in the same building) to get the extra toilet paper from them as there is only one roll in the room and wondering they expected us this roll can be used for 5 days! Besides these, the location is very convenient, the room is clear with most of the kitchen tools. I would stay here again if they could offer me a roll of toilet paper everyday! Mehr

We walked a block to our apartment after checking in which was no problem. The people were very kind and helpful. After checking out, they stored luggage until our evening flight at no cost so we tipped (but they didn't seem to expect it. ) The price was right. The buildings were older but updated and had good atmosphere. We would use them again. The […] staff was VERY helpful which made up for being marginal 3 star accomodations. I stayed at these apartments at the beginning of December with my girlfriend. The booking was made quite late and what attracted us was the price as well as the location in relation to Hyde Park. The apartments are situated very close to the park as well as near to Bayswater Tube Station which was ideal. We stayed for only one night as we were in London […] to see a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. The room was very clean and had was very modern. We had no complaints at all and it will definitely be my first port of call when I next travel to the capital. Mehr

(for reference, I was in room 1C of No. 81. It was a basement suite) The room itself was fantastic, for what it was- large, fully-featured kitchen, comfortable bed. The TV wasn't bad, but the choice of channels was strange (didn't have the full complement of normal UK channels- only three- but did have 80 'world' channels from Italy to Saudi Arabia). The […] real downside was the bathroom. It was freezing- there was an 80% window, very thin wall to the outside that any heat immediately escaped from. There was no holder for the shower head, so I had to hold it myself. Also no shower curtain. The room seems like it was renovated relatively recently. I can only hope that the renovations on the bathroom are not complete, and that in the future the bathroom will be up to the same level as the main room. Mehr

Not really value for money because they are quite small but you need to take into account the cost of accommodation in London so relative to that I guess it is reasonable. Handy to have the kitchen and the location is close to a lot of interesting places to which you can walk. The Queensway is in the next street and has lots of restaurants and shops […] and an underground station. Mehr

Very nice apartment with kitchenette , convenient to bayswater tube station , lots of restuarants , pubs , convenience stores ( tescos & sainsburys ) hyde park ,just around the corner. Would definitley stay again . 5*****

Good points are 1. the place is very close to underground station, just 1-2 mins walk. 2. apartment is not in No. 55, is apartment closeby no. 55. It's located in quiet street, while close to shops, restaurants and Kensington Park (is very nice park). Also it's in city circle, not far from many attraction places. 3. Room with well-equiped kitchen, bed […] & toilet is clean 4. have central heating, is warm enough during the winter. Bad points: 1. Toilet is very tiny. 2. Concrete is thin. Firstly I was offered a room in 2nd floor, i could feel ppl walk in upstairs. After complaint, changed to a room on the top floor, problem solved. I was pleasantly surprised by the Hyde Park Suites. The location was lovely and just a few minutes from 2 tube stations and Hyde Park itself. The apartment itself was easily big enough for myself and my girlfriend and we were lucky enough to have a balcony of our as well, although it was December when we stayed so it was difficult to make much use of […] it. The staff were very helpful, although we rarely needed to speak to them, and they seemed to be at the front desk at all hours of the day and the night. If you are looking for somewhere to stay nearby Hyde Park and don't mind going self-catering then I would definitely recommend taking a look at this place. Mehr

The receptionists were not very friendly. The bed is not very comfortable. We stayed on the fourth floor. The light sensors were not working. It was a bit scary, thankfully, it was repaired on the following day.

Bare, dirty wooden floorboards, no heating, furniture that looked like it had been rescued from a skip, surly staff. I have travelled across every continent, and stayed in some truly horrendous holes, but the bed in this particular dump is probably the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered. This place is a total kip. Avoid at all costs.

a quick tube, short walk and steps up to a clean, safe, comfortable place with a full kitchen. Don't look at the broken floor tile and uneven grout in the bathroom and unwaxed/finished wooden floor. Being clean and having very comfy bed and linens with an immaculate kitchen with items necessary for a stay. We were third story of one of the buildings. […] If you can't make the steps with your suitcase look for another place...otherwise a good choice. Small but workable with flatscreen tv. Mehr

Budget economy appartment which completelly met my expectations. Very good located with close proximity to underground.

The apartments are pretty small, but fairly comfortable and well kitted out, including a kitchenette - a great feature if you don't want to eat out every night. TV has freeview which is a bonus. My favourite thing about the rooms though is the shower. Really powerful! The location is superb, in the heart of Baywater near Hyde Park, you can easily […] get on the district, circle or central line so can get pretty much anywhere in London without any hassle. Fully recommend these apartments for a business trip or a weekend away. Note though these are apartments though so don't expect a hotel service. Mehr

Horrible place - stay away. 1. Reception not open 24/7. 2. It's not so much a hotel as much a bunch of random apartments scattered around the neighborhood. Have to check into one place, but then lug your luggage to the actual apartment. 3. My apartment was on 5th floor walk up with a tiny stairs that barely fits the luggage. Inside the apartment there […] was another stairs as it was a duplex with no mention of this during reservation. 4. Hi, this hotel is not for ladies, it is very scary to stay and there is help or support from hotel staff....

I only booked this property because I was struggling to find a room and I was dreading my stay based on previous reviews. However I was so surprised. The suites are spotless and so much more comfortable than many 4 star hotel rooms. London rooms always seem so much smaller and more basic than other European cities. I stayed 5 night in this place. Room was very clean, great water pressure in a shower. very polite and friendly receptionists. One morning wifi was down , I called to reception , in a few hours everything was fixed. Great Location is just min from bus and metro station , lots of restaurants and food stores . The place was of course less prestigious as it seemed on the photos, but it was clean, and comfortable enough for the lenght of our stay. Not many noise, easy to access.. The only problem was that there wasn't extra sheets in case of fresh temperature, and that there wasn't shower gel.

Location is convinient with easy access to social activities

This was an excellent place to stay overall. Having read both good and bad reviews of this property I booked as I like staying in Bayswaterand the cost of the apratment was far less than a double room in a hotel in that area. The staff were excellent in all ways and the room comfortable and well equipped. The circuit breaker blew out one night and we […] didn't find the electrical box until the next morning which meant we were without TV for one night, but that was no big deal. Very good location, 10mins walk to Queensway, Bayswater or Paddington station. Don't compare to hotel as they are only converted apartments so they are at basic comfortable standards. Well equipped, kitchenett, microwave, stove, hairdryer and iron / board. We stayed in a cool summer last week so temperature was ok. However, I am afraid it will be […] not warm enough as central heat is only in the bathroom with 1 mobile small oil radiator provided for living room. Overall our stay is pleasure for a leisure city stroll trip and easy access to shops / tubes / rails / park / restaurants. Will consider to stay there again for London personal trip for sure. Mehr

BENEFITS 1.Very central location, next to Hyde park, easy walk to London Underground 2. Self catering - did not cook however, plenty of restaurants around CRITICISMS 1 the hallway and the common areas quite shabbily maintained 2 rooms very average 3 reception staff not very helpful

Location very good, But room was bad. neighbourth was terrible. We hadn't air conditional so in our room was very hot. we never saty there. And we don't recommendet.

we picked this purely for location - only a short stroll from Hyde Park and close to 2 different lines on the Tube. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor - accessible either in the very very slow lift or up the narrow stairs (very deceiving with glass at the side of the stairs!). We had a double bed apartment, and there was just enough room to swing a […] cat. A double bed, a tv that didn't work, a fully fitted kitchen that took up most of the space, and a very small bathroom. however, having said all that, it was clean, and considering we only used it to sleep and make tea in the morning, it was fine. If you need cheapest hotel in London, just think once.

Location was fantastic. I was very happy with the location. That's the only positive thing I can say about this property. As far as the proporty is concerned, there were no elevators to take us to the 3rd floor, carpet in the stairways were very dirty and smelly, room wasn't cleaned for the entire week, towels were the same through out the stay. Beds […] were too small for 2 people staying and too low. Even though the location was awesome, I would never suggest this to any of my friends. Mehr

ΤΟΟ ΝΑRROW, NO ALEVATOR FOR THE 3RD FLOOR, THIN DOORS ALLOWING SOUNDS TO COME IN, CLEAN ONLY ON THE SURFACE. BUT I HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE AND OTHER ROOMS WHERE MUCH BETTER. Don't take too much heed of bad reviews! We stayed in number 35 Inverness Terrace and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable and in a perfect location. The windows dont keep out the traffic noise in the morning but earplugs do the job. We really enjoyed out stay with friends. Lots of nice restaurants and bars around. The Hotel across the road was really […] nice for an evening meal and the bar is open till 1 a.m.! I would definetely return to these apartments. Mehr
