I loved everything about our stay, except for the noise level at night. Our condo was right next to the street, so I was unable to fall asleep until 5 AM when the bars on Frenchmen finally shut down. While all the craziness is happening off of Bourbon street, the hotel situated on Frenchman is in the middle of it all. If your thing is to listen to good music while having a couple of drinks, this is the perfect area for you. The speakeasy bar (can't remember the name of it) is around the corner from the hotel and easily the best of the trip. If you have been to New Orleans before, you know how outplayed Bourbon St. is after about 15 minutes. I have been to the city about six times now and every time I say that I am going to stay on Frenchmen St. Luckily, I was able to get a room at the Frenchmen 519. The location is absolutely perfect. Located across the street from the Blue Nile and Three […] muses and less than a block from Maison and the Spotted Cat Music club, I couldn't ask for a better place to provide the ultimate New Orleans experience. It is also two blocks from the French Market and the Riverfront Streetcar that can drop you off anywhere in the quarter. Very nice, secure rooms and property. The service was top-knotch. My husband, daughter and her friend, and I stayed at the Frenchmen during Super Bowl weekend. It is on the edge of the French Quarter, so within walking distance of Quarter shops and bars. And there are several bars along Frenchmen Street, which is fun if you enjoy that, but it makes for some REALLY loud music right outside your window if you are trying […] to sleep. I had been assured, via telephone, by Jonathan, a Frenchmen employee, that we would have one of their updated rooms, but when we arrived, the staff said they didn't have any available and gave us a room that had an old queen bed in the master, two twins in the second bedroom and well-worn furniture and an OLD television set. Since it was Super Bowl weekend, we paid a LOT for the room and didn't feel it was up to standards. It definitely did not look like the photos on the website. It wasn't bad, just not what we expected. There is also no elevator and we were on the third floor, so if you have mobility problems, keep that in mind. Overall, our stay was fine and the young man at the office (not Jonathan) was very sweet to help us carry our luggage up the flights of stairs. Mehr

I went to New Orleans for the first time for my birthday and stayed at an disaster of a hotel. The location of the hotel was good, but no French Quarter it was! The Hotel was not as it was advertised, the front room wooden floor was stripped, the front room chair was straight out of good will thrift store, along with the old box tv. The garbage desposal […] didn't work along with the maintnes man who was off and didn't respond to the front desk call for repair. The stanch aroma from the garbage desposal sent us walking to a nearby store for deodorized spray. To make matters even worse the king size bed didn't come with a headboard nor a TV. Who lives this way! The best thing out of this deal after having to go through two front desk clerk that blew us off and the last clerk that followed through to address our complainant with a boss who hide behind his employee refusing to speak directly with us. If you want to stay at a place that showcases the best of what New Orleans has to offer then this is where you want to be. We stayed in a Two Bedroom condo and couldn't have been happier. I was very surprised at how BIG the room was. Yes, it's definitely a condo. You could easily have a family or a group of friends stay here comfortably. It's very convenient to the French Quarter (but just barely out of the French Quarter). The walk down Decatur every day was very nice, and the riverfront street car is a convenient way to get to the […] convention center. It was clean enough...but not great. There was peeling paint and the shower curtain was full of mildew. No bugs, no weird stains, but not 'nice'. But good enough. I think they came and cleaned every day, but I cannot say for sure. One day the bed was fully made and the next it was as I had left it (mostly made...but not tight and neat). One day I had new towels, and the next day I did not. I did hang them up each day though, so it wasn't like they left them crumpled on the floor. Overall, good deal. I'd stay here again. Mehr

The room was clean and ok, but there is no elevator, parking is around the block and costs $12, tub didn't drain well. My buddy said he couldn't sleep because of the loud music outside until 2 am on a wed. and a loud a/c unit on the roof above his room.

Unit was average. A/C froze up first day, serviceman fixed it. Dishwasher would not drain, serviceman said he fixed it, but did not. Tub did not drain. This place need some major attention.

Loved the location, extremely close to everything we wanted to get to and several parking options as well. outside at night was very noisy as expected however the rooms seem to be well insulated because we were amazed at how quiet indoors was and had no trouble sleeping even with full street parties going on at 2am in the morning.

I'd be happy to stay again. The rooms are dated; "icky" one guest said, but fairly clean and certainly comfortable. It's like living in a 50's black and white TV show! Great location, you could sit on the balcony in the evenings which overlooked Frenchman Street, right across from Blue Nile. We were here for Jazz Fest and as the saying goes, you do not go to NOLA to sleep in this area of the city. I would recommend for business travelers, the larger hotel chains. The room I was in was nothing like the pictures. The nice rooms were all downstairs as I saw when I walked past some open doors. Our room was a little dirty and we did find 2 or 3 roaches running around in the room. They did not have enough parking for customers who roomed there and there was not valet parking like I thought the advertisement said. […] I understand it was St. Patrick's day weekend, but when you are paying to stay in their Condo you would expect a parking spot. Instead I had to park a mile away and pay $25 per day. When I asked a woman working behind the desk about parking she said "well tough luck, it's St. Patrick's day weekend." I thought that was awesome of her. The two gentlemen working behind the front desk were both very nice though. It was a pretty good location only about 4 blocks from all the fun. I think for the time and cost it took for parking I would rather stay at the Sheraton on Canal Street which was more expensive, but so much nicer last time I went to New Orleans. The hotel itself is fairly nice, but we had a few problems. There was no attempt made by the staff to control the other guests, who were largely college-aged and out of control (as in, climbing on the roof of the hotel, getting into the outdoor hot tub and pool at 4:00 am and banging the deck chairs around, screaming, etc.). It was frustrating to have […] that noise on top of all the noise in this area of the French Quarter. We had expected a little noise given other reviews we read, but the guests at the hotel were more of a problem than the bass from local bars. Wax earplugs took care of the music, but not the students. My other complaints are in regard to amenities and cleanliness. While the room provided everything from kitchen utensils to dishwashing soap for guest use, there was no hairdryer - a frustrating discovery once we arrived. Parking costs $12/day, not the 10$ that was listed on the Expedia website. Furthermore, there was hair left in the bathtub upon our arrival, and housekeeping never came on the second day of our stay. The bed was also lopsided and extremely uncomfortable; either the mattress hadn't been flipped in a while or something was wrong with it. Mehr

When we arrived @ 6:15 PM our room had not been cleaned. We were told to leave for an hour or so by the night manager Ryan and he would try to clean it the best he could. We did and when we returned Ryan had done an acceptable job. We were also told in advance that we would have parking but wound up having to park a block away in a public lot our first […] night. Housekeeping did come Sat. - Did not take trash. After the first person of our party took the first shower of the morning the bathtub had 6" standing water in it. By plunging after each of our 5 people's shower we were able to keep the water level at 6". Maintenance did come and fix this later in the day. The noise level in 301 as both bedrooms face the front of the building is very high. We were here Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. This usually goes on from 7 PM to as late as 4-5 AM. If cooking in kitchen there are no non-stick pans. No flat screen TV in 301 either, just 1 TV. Mehr

Was supposed to be two Queen beds but turned out to be one king and two full beds. This didn't work well for two couples. blood stains on sheets. Excessive noise but only till about 4am. After reading the positive reviews for this hotel, i was expecting better. A lady at the front desk began our stay on a negative note. I found her unprofessional. She was complaining and putting down the city of Nola and the mgmt company that ran the hotel. She was also freaking out because her computer wasn't working. Not our concern, we didn't need […] to know. We were able to stow our luggage because the room wasn't ready, which was fine. The hotel, while on a more run down street did feel safe because of the security gate. The 1 br apt was uncomfortable. The pull out sofa was a joke. The matress sunk right to the floor. We had to put the mattress on the floor to sleep on it. There were dirty dishes in the cabinet and the microwave had some rotten butter substance all over the inside. We had to clean it out b/f we could use it. Not sure if the sheets were clean as there were crumbs and hair on them. The courtyard was nice with the hot tub. We were the only ones using it and it was relaxing. We have stayed at other places in the french qt. I recommend a hotel in the quarter. They have better creature comforts and better staff. Unless you're staying for a long time, you really don't need a kitchen in Nola. Not worth the extra price. This wasn't the worse place i've ever slept, but it wasn't that great. We're not picky people and have stayed at cheaper places in the quarter that someone else might think of as lower quality, but i don't recommend this place. Sorry guys! Mehr

The hotel has 15 rooms - no parking on-site. They're allowed 8 parking passes to parking lot behind hotel. If you're not one of the lucky 8, good luck finding another parking spot. We had five people in a 2 bedroom condo. It was a great experience. The staff was awesome, very friendly and helpful with all sorts of information. We had plenty of room and the room was clean and well kept. The location was perfect, right outside the quarter, walking distance to EVERYTHING!! There is great music all around the hotel. It is convenient in location for the nightlife, not as crazy as bourbon street, but there is a reason why all the locals hang out on Frenchmen street, the rooms were the best in price to quality ratio, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was my first time to stay at this particular hotel and I will definitely stay here my next trip!

Stayed there for 3 days and loved it. Being condos rather than hotel rooms, I loved having the feel of home rather than standard. I would recommend this to anyone.
