Nice hotel, outside parking, friendly staff and great buffet breakfast. We didn't take our UK mobile telephones and with events occurring in Boston, my wife needed to phone England to let the family know that all was well where we were. Unbelievably, we were unable to make an international call from either the reception desk, from our room or from any […] other hotel facility. Staff were helpful and even came up to the room to attempt a call on our behalf - but without luck. A very kind member of the engineering staff even offered his own personal mobile but we declined on principle and later made the call from a private house nearby. A lesson learnt. Nevertheless, the hotel was just what we wanted and lives up to it's brand name. Mehr

The accommodations were fine but the shower had mold in several places. I would not have expected this from a Hilton Garden Inn.

Not a bad stay however the walls are so thing at least in the room I stayed. It was an adjoining room so that could have been it the issue. I was woken up very early by people having what seemed to be a normal volume conversation next door as well as the tv. You can literally hear the program that your neighbor is watching. the hotel was extremely clean! The only drawback was that the walls are paper thin, and a party went on in the room next to us until after 4:30 a.m.

Stayed for 3 nights while taking my son to college. On our first night I called the front desk to complain about the annoyingly loud noise the shower made as soon as we turned it on. They said they would send someone first thing in the morning to look at it and by checkout time on Sunday I was still waiting. For three days/nights I could only take quick […] showers as the rumbling noise was unbearable. They also have problems with the TV service and there were only a few channels available and no HD channels at all. They informed us with a matter of fact attitude without apologizing for the inconvenience or making it up to guests with a free-something. Breakfast is ok, but unless you eat cold cereal and bread, there is a long wait for omelets and waffles. The positive: rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. I will be traveling to Hartford for the next 4 years until my son graduates, and unless they have the cheapest rate available, I would not be going back. Mehr

Our stay was very nice and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and cool. Decent restaurants close by, we felt safe and enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient and the amenities were (we took advantage of laundry) great.

I love to stay at Hilton Garden Inns. this one not so good. the room smelled like smoke (had cigarette burn marks on the furniture). the bathroom floor wasn't clean, scratch marks all over the toilet seat. We always stay here to attend family events in the area. It is conveniently located off of I 95 and is a clean & comfortable hotel. The shower is spacious and contains non-slip tile which is not always the case in hotel bathtubs/showers.

Apparently a church service was being held under my room starting around 9am. Needless to say it was not a very good morning especially after coming in around 3am.

This hotel is sooo fancy. The beds- OMG! Going home was a real drag after spending the night there. It's in a great location, really close to unique restaurants, a mall, movie theater, etc. The indoor pool was kind of small, and there was no hot tub, but we still had a great time.

for a business hotel getting a good night's sleep is a top priority and this place was nice and quiet. One downside is that neighboring restaurants were substandard; would recommend driving into the city center to eat.

I stayed at this hotel as part of a trip to Manhattan. The hotel was conveniently located about a 5-minute drive from the Metro North train station. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only negative was the lack of comfortable pillows, but that seems to be par for the course with hotels nowadays.

We had a very nice stay. With it being a newer hotel, you can't go wrong. I was very comfortable staying here. They don't offer a continental breakfast so I was a little disappointed about that.

it's a very clean, well kept, comfortable place with a good customer service. a very convenient location to yale university (only about 15 min drive on 95). the surrounding place has wholefoods, costco, trader joes, target, walmart, shop & go (grocery store), and a nice size mall all within 5 min of drive. the only thing i must comment is that the gym […] had a really bad, moldy smell which was so bad that i couldn't work out. everything else was great. only 10 minutes away from New Haven, CT. This is a convenient hotel to stay near New Haven where prices are at least double for the same quality room. Our son attends Yale U and we prefer staying at this nearby, inexpensive and clean hotel.

Return visit to Milford after 30 years away...lots of growth near the mall and choosing Hilton Garden Hotel was one of our best choices. Front desk very helpful. Warm cookies for all! Great start. We asked for a room opposite turnpike, sleeping was wonderful. Room very clean. View of woods. Enjoyed use of computer room for printing early boarding passes. […] Computers set up with easy/friendly navigation. Entered and exited back entrance (no ramp access use front for entry with luggage) most days and nights, very safe. Cocktail lounge very cozy, enjoyed a few nightcaps, good crowd - Go Yankees! 10 minute ride to University of New Haven. Very comfortable bed with thick cozy clean sheets. Nice and clean made us feel comfortable. Quick, polite service in the restaurant..food just ok but reasonable.

We stayed here after a wedding in New Haven and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was very large, the bathroom had a lot of toiletries and amenities. We had drinks at the bar which was kept open late for our party and the bartender was great. There is plenty of parking and a nice outdoor seating area when theres nice weather. Its right off 95 so […] its very easy to get to and from. Close to the Post Rd with lots of dining options and theres a Popeyes-YUM-right outside the hotel. Mehr

A very convenient hotel right off I-95 in Milford and close to Boston Post Road. Our room was huge! Partly because it was a handicapped accessible room but even our friends who had a standard room said theirs was larger than most hotel rooms. The hotel is new and quite nice. The swimming pool and exercise area are small but adequate. No hot tub. There is a restaurant downstairs and several within a short walk. The front desk staff were nice and the maids were very friendly. Overall a pretty good experience

The hotel itself was not bad, it was very clean and modern. The business room is very tiny however. There was no bathtub in my room, just a shower which was disapointing. The pool is also very small. We didnt get to enjoy ourselves at all because there was a "family reunion" there all weekend. Had I known that I would not have picked this hotel. We […] had to basicly hide in our room because they were occupying all the spaces including the pool and it was very noisey. The first night they partied and kept us up all night yelling at one another in the hallway. We had to eat out in the am which was also dissapointing that there was no continental breakfast you had to pay to eat and since it was overcrowded with guests we went to a local diner. The neighborhood is run down and there is absolutley no activities. There was a beach nearby but not so swimable, we just went for some scenery. There was one receptionist dark hair with glasses, who was a little crude and seemed to only be friendly with the males. The manager was a little phoney at being friendly as we were in a conversation with him he quickly cut us off to other guests arriving, a few pilots, maybe we werent first priority for him? The female cook however was very nice and helpful to explain how the buffet worked and what was on the menu, but we did not stay. We were heading up to the New Haven area but with the summer events hotels were booked. The Garden Inn in Milford was only 10 minutes down the road and was very comfortable. It's not as pretty of an area as New Haven but it's summertime - stay out late and end your evening here. Rates were very reasonable as well.

Front desk staff was extremely helpful, at check-in and at other times. The room was immaculate and very comfortable, and the hotel offered a well-prepared, well-priced breakfast the next day. The neighborhood isn't picturesque, but the hotel is near the highway, and other aspects of the area are easily reachable.

This Hilton Garden Inn was a great place for us to stay when visiting our daughter at Yale in New Haven, CT. It is a bit of a drive down I95, but not too far, and it is close to the highway so it is easy to get to.
