The Inn at Oak Street - Jacksonville

Gesamtes Personal äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit (kam nachts um 2 erst an!), königliches Frühstück, 17:00 social hour. Das Haus gepflegt, elegant, großzügige Zimmer, gute Nachtruhe. Dennoch: um die Ecke Bushaltestelle ins Zentrum, Supermarkt und nur 5 min zum Cummer Museum. Absolut empfehlenswert. Das beste B&B auf meiner gesamten USA-Tour.

What an incredibly pleasant surprise this bed and breakfast was. I was in Jacksonville for only one night and came across this gem while looking for a room. It's located in a trendy Jacksonville neighborhood full of old homes. There are a number of boutique shops and antique shops within walking distance, as is a lovely park along the waterfront. The […] Inn itself is lovely, full of wonderful rooms with an elegant early 1900's ambience. Michael was a pleasant and knowledgable host who makes a mean breakfast! Wonderful public work spaces for business travel, and incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Note that the Cabernet Room actually seems to have a full size bed, not queen size, and is quite close to the dining room, which can get noisy at breakfast time. Enjoyed my stay at the Inn at Oak Street. It was my first time staying at a B&B. This was a 2 night business trip for me and the house was furnished nicely and was well-kept. The innkeeper, Michael, was nice and my room, the Treehouse room on the 3rd floor, was clean, fairly spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was very nice with […] a jetted tub if you're into baths. The one negative of the room was the lack of individual temperature control. Since it was 90 degrees outside, I was initially concerned that the 3rd floor of the house may be a little warm compared to the other floors of the house. However, it was quite the opposite, my room was actually on the cold side especially late at night and upon waking in the morning. However, the bed kept me warm. I certainly prefer the room to be a bit cold rather than warm. Other than that 1 thing, the room was great. The Inn has a DVD collection that you are free to borrow from to watch movies in your room or in the TV (large screen) room on the first level. Also, breakfast is prepared for you in the dining room at your requested time and it was delicious...fruit & yogurt parfait followed by french toast and sausage one morning and omelettes the next. This was my first time @ a B&B. I really enjoyed the whole stay. Met some great folks during the evening while we shared a glass of wine & conversation, before I went off to dinner. B'fast was a real treat. Staff was very friendly. Loved my room. Just wish I could always afford to stay @ a B&B, but I'm on the road too much. Highly recommend.

This was a wonderful bed and breakfast. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The house was beautiful and wonderful. Breakfast every morning was light and refreshing. The beds were fantastic. We had a excellent nights sleep every night. The Inn is perfectly located next to the Saint Johns River with plenty of restaurants and night life […] to suite anyone's needs. The only negative aspect is that the first night of our stay it was a little warm, but it Jacksonville, FL, so that is to be expected. We had a wonderful time here. Mehr

This bed and breakfast was wonderful. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and the hotel itself was absolutely lovely. My husband and I stayed in the Treehouse room which was large, very comfortable, and lovely. When we got to our room we were treated with cheese, crackers and wine. I suppose we could have spent twice as much and booked the best room at one of the hotels in downtown Jacksonville, but I cannot imagine more charming (or functional) accommodations than those offered at the Inn on Oak Street. From the fresh baked cookies and apple turnovers provided guests along with afternoon wine, the simple but elegant breakfasts, […] the comfortable room more like a suite, and the run of the large, well furnished historic house, you just can't beat a nice inn or B&B like this one. The inn consists of a house that was originally built in 1901. The renovations that were done to convert it to the current bed and breakfast have kept the feel of the oliginal house while incorporating the modern conveniences that we expect in a hotel.
