Club Arias Bed & Breakfast - Savaneta

We loved our stay at Club Arias B&B. As soon as we arrived we felt welcomed and relaxed. The accommodations were spacious and the grounds were private and tropical. There were so many personal touches that just made you feel relaxed. Arias and his family do a great job of making you feel relaxed.The breakfasts were great and the extra pasta or pizza […] night available by Chef Gabriel were great. The Rhino tour (run by Arias) was fun and a great way to see and experience another part of Aruba. It was so great here we cancelled are reservations to stay at a beach front hotel for the second half of our vacation. ClubArias is not a big all inclusive resort and if that is the kind of trip you are looking for, it will definetly disappoint you. On the contrary, if you are looking for a nice place in which you can receive almost all you could need to discover the amazing island, you will love this place as well as we did. The owner pays a lot of attention on giving […] you some small but really useful amenities (such as the lemonade, the ice cooler, the beach chairs) and tips on the real Aruba (restaurants, beaches) that he will be part of your memories in Aruba. Someone told us that Aruba is really expensive and it is true, but just in the resort area, where beaches are beautiful even if a little bit crowded. You should see these beaches, but you shall not limit your experience because you can find other beaches even better just five-ten minutes by car from ClubArias where you could be alone. Alone in the middle of a paradise. Rent a car and enjoy the island (choose the smallest one, it will be enough!). Room at ClubArias are really clean and quite big. Furniture are absolutly complete, but not exactly new or stylish, but do you really need something different in such a context? You are not going to spend so much time in your room... Breakfast is good, as well as the baked cake in the afternoon. Take the Rhino tour. Absolutely. It should be compulsory and, in our opinion, such a tour - with Arias and with these incredibly strong vehicles - has no competitors. It will be tough to wake up at 6 in the morning, but it is totally worth the effort and the price. Mehr

The room rented to me had no hot water plumbing. The room was being modernized but not finished or rentabile. Airas apologized for the room with some refreshments. Not good enough, the room should not have been available for rent.

The hotel room was extremely nice, however THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO HOT WATER IN THE ROOMS! I don't want to go to the pool shower to get hot water of an evening or in the morning. They also don't have wireless access in the rooms. If you want to use your wireless device you need to plan on a nice long hike to the front of the hotel to get access (for […] me it was about 100 yards away). The guest rooms are anywhere from 50 to 100 yards from where you park the car and the surface you walk on is like walking on ice when it's wet. The bugs are swarming after it rains too. From the time we arrived, we were treated great! Private anniversary dinner (arranged ahead of time). Relaxing next day, got up late, breakfast cooked to order by Gabriel (lobster/mushroom omelete). Tooled around theSouthEast side of the Island - Chicken lunch from La Garanja (recommended by Arias) was fantastic, and only $8. Day one dinner was Pizza […] and Wings from Gabriels. Next day we did the Rhino 4-wheel drive tour! The tour left @5:30AM and went to the natural pool, boca grande beach and ended the tour @ baby beach with Grouper Sandwiches @ Rum Reef Bar and Grille. We were able to add an extra night to our trip to Aruba. We booked club Arias for the last night and stayed there 10/25/11. My greatest regret was that we couldn't stay another day or two at CA. After staying on an all inclusive resort for almost a week, CA was a perfect way to wind down and relax before beginning a day long trek back home to the States. […] The club is quiet, serene, peaceful and lovely. We stayed in Suite 9 - and the room perfect. It was clean, large, wonderfully decorated and right across from the outdoor shower. The suites: The room was outfitted with a DVR player and a VCR player and the best part is that the club has movies in the dining room/library! Unfortunately we didn't notice that until the next morning when we were checking out... but it is a great idea. Also in the room are plates and utensils, walkie talkies (which we never used but could be good to have if you want to keep in touch with your loved one who is elsewhere on the resort). The room includes large, plush towels for bathing and towels for the pool. The club offers free wifi in the rooms and also in the clubhouse. The grounds: There are two pools and a hot tub/Jacuzzi. There is also a game area with a pool table and several board games in the library. There is tons of seating and places to relax outdoors, including a hammock. Clubhouse: there is a dining room/library available onsite. Breakfast was included in our package and the bfast was delightful. Coffee, tea, juice and water are also offered. There is 4PM pastry offering - they had chocolate pie the day we were there!!!! Can you say awesome? They also have free wifi in the clubhouse and free phone calls back to the US. Not wanting to be submerged in the highrise busy hotel strip and certainly not wanting to pay a premium for it, we decided to stay at hotel Arias which is away from the tourist hub. Club Arias is decent as a B&B, but not like a mainstream hotel chain. The rooms were decent, clean and well presented, although wear and tear is apparent at the edges despite […] only being 18months old (toilet roll holder & shower head holder were broken but usable in our room, but our friends room had no issues at all). Our airconditioner was also too noisy to use overnight, which whilst not a problem for us (not big users of A/C) it will be a problem for others. Arias himself is extremely welcoming and really cares that his guests have a good time. He will make sure you are set up with the tools to enjoy your vacation so it makes it very easy to get the most out of your stay. The breakfasts are good, the pool is great and the feel of the place is warm. The local beaches are quiet and great to be away from the crowds of the main hotel strip, however, if you want to pay for the waiter service and pinocoladas on the beach this is only a drive away on the main strip. We also went on the Arias tour. It was expensive so not for everyone but we had a great time in the vehicles (pretty much golf carts on steriods) and were happy with the experience. Club Arias is for you if you hire a car and like to avoid the tourist traps and want something more personal on a smaller budget. The casinos are only 15-20 min drive away and although we had a good night when we drove into town, but it was good to get back to the quite localness of Club Arias. However, if you want to spend more, be in the middle of the tourist area and do not want to hire a car then this may not be the best fit. Mehr

Everything you need away from the busy touristy-ness on the northern part of the island. Fun, casual setting, good breakfast and Arias is great. Highly recommend the Rhino Tour.

We booked our stay with Arias to coincide with either end of our timeshare. Our flight did not come in until 1 am and Arias picked us up at the airport. He kept in contact with us throughout knowing we were going to be late. He also allowed us to stay during the next day because our travels were a nightmare. We have been going to Aruba for over 35 yrs. Have a time share there. If we need extra days usually stayed at an expensive hotel on the beach. NOT ANY MORE. Club Arias is a wonderful place for a few extra days....or even a week on Aruba. The suites are huge and beautifully decorated. Arias and his family treated us and all the guests as if we were family. […] The pools are beautiful with enough shade for all from the very hot sun. There are only 10 rooms so it is a quiet place and was filled with people from all over the world. The friendly atmosphere was contagious, Club Arias is not on the beach but beach chairs and floats are available to all to take to any beach on the island. It is near several very nice places to eat. The Chef at Club Arias was wonderful. Expecially liked his chocolate pizza. Only thing that some might not care for is that the showers in room are only cool not hot. But there is a great outdoor shower with the top open to the sky that has wonderful hot water. There are great terry bathrobes in the rooms to wear to the shower that is just steps from your door. Arias is extremely knowledgable about what to see and where to eat on the island. The staff is multilingual including English, Spanish and Dutch. We hope to return and would definitely send friends and family to Club Arias. For any one who loves bed and breakfast stays in the US this is a great place to stop for an extra night or two to get that cheap airfare. Mehr

Arias and his wife are wonderful hosts. This is an amazing B&B with home-cooked meals and service. Three pools are inside this gorgeous place with lots of free lemonade, green tea, iced water at all times. There is free internet and US Calling. This B&B is owned and operated by Americans whose heart is in this dream of theirs. They will tell you about […] the local area, including where to and not to go, and help you to get there. My experience and/or observations about Club Arias Bed & Breakfast is that it is somewhat overrated. It is a privately owned and managed comparable to a guest house facility. There are only eleven rooms. No hot water and telephone in the room. There are couple of hot showers outside in common area. Only one codeless phone outside in the breakfast area. […] No accessible reception area. If you need something then you need walk and knock on the door marked ‘PRIVATE’ which is not even lighted at night. Housekeeping & toiletries is upon request basis. No ‘Full Breakfast’. Club Arias feels like an Oasis in the desert. It is more than a hotel, it is a pleasant experience. The facility is the opposite direction from the resort area of Aruba from the airport and it is not near the beach. The personal attention of Arias and the staff was outstanding. Walking the little world that Arias created is one of beauty and charm, there is a Koi pond, free phone to reach the states, a never ending supply of lemonade and cold water by the pool. I would recommend the Club Arias to one and all. If it were on the beach it would be 5 star. For a place to make plane connections work, it is probably the best alternative that I have found. I have been to Aruba on many occasions and this time I wanted to try something different so I stayed here at the bed and breakfast away from the high rise hotels on the other side of the island. The place was beautiful, would be a great place to go with a big group. I would go again. Had a shower in the room but the water was cold so the shared showers […] was the way to go :) Mehr

This was my third time in Aruba and probably the best time I ever had staying at this resort, The rooms were like villas and all very nicely appointed. The pool was great and also breakfast was included that felt as if it was home cooked. Overall I would recomend this resort

Just as we booked our stay, Arias (the owner) called me and gave me the initial information I really needed during the stay. THis was first time such a thing happened to me. We booked the Nook, the cheapest and the smallest room, but on the arrival we were offered an upgrade for a very reasonable price. I am very happy to have accepted. The upgrade […] included excellent breakfast at Gabriels, free all-day drinks in the area (cooled water, lemonade, iced tea and also ice) and some 4pm pastry snacks. All of it was excellent. Also the upgrade included a much, much bigger suite. There was a fully equipped kitchen, the lounge and a huge modern bedroom. The Club is a bit off the main tourist areas and main beaches, so renting a car is a must. But if you want to avoid crowded beaches or you just do not want to go anywhere, just enjoy yourself at Arias. The areal has 3 pools with 2 bars (however the bars were not operated during our stay as we were there during the quiet season), but cooled drinks are just few steps from the pools. The nicely arranged garden around just makes you feel like in heaven where nothing can take you away from. The amenities like pool table, table soccer, darts, ping-pong, loads of books, DVDs will never make you feel bored. If you feel like going to the beach, there are beach chairs, snorkeling gear, beach towels and other staff available for your disposal. To be honest, if I ever go to Aruba, I will stay there again. Hotel could not have been better nor the staff more friendly and helpful. Location is excellent for the industrial end of the island yet still close to the tourist area. Club Arias is a hidden treasure. It's not for everyone, as it's a long way from the traditional tourist areas and the casinos, but for those looking for a quiet place to relax, this is the place for you. The glowing reviews are all accurate -- you really have to see this place to believe it.

THE HOTEL IS STILL UNDER MINOR CONSTRUCTION BUT MOSTLY FOR AESTETICS. THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE, PLENTY OF SPACE, NICE POOL. IT IS A BED & BREAKFAST WHICH I DID NOT REALIZE WHEN I BOOKED IT AS I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY ONE NIGHT AFTER MY TIME SHARE WAS UP FOR THE WEEK. TOO BAD I DIDN`T KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE AHEAD OF TIME BUT I KNOW I`LL GO […] BACK HERE NEXT TIME. ANYWAY THE OWNER 'ARIAS' GREETED ME AT MY ROOM ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO AFTER MY ARRIVAL AND WELCOMED ME AND INVITED ME TO GO OUT THAT NIGHT TO A LOCAL PLACE ALONG WITH THE OTHER GUESTS BUT I WAS WIPED OUT FROM DIVING ALL WEEK AND I NEEDED TO REST SO I DECLINED AND MISSED OUT. THE BREAKFAST THE NEXT MORNING WAS EXCELLENT, PREPARED BY GABRIEL AND SERVED BY GIOVANNI. I WAS ABLE TO CHECK MY E-MAIL AND CALL THE U.S. RIGHT FROM THE DINING AREA FREE OF CHARGE I MIGHT AD AND THAT WAS ANOTHER PLUS. THEY ALSO HAVE LEMONADE, ICED TEA AND WATER AVAILABLE BY THE POOL 24 HRS A DAY AND ALSO FREE OF CHARGE. THAT MORNING I HAD TO CATCH A FLIGHT BACK TO NEW YORK AND GABRIEL & GIOVANNI DROVE ME TO THE AIRPORT ALSO FREE OF CHARGE. THE PLACE IS VERY NICE BUT THE PEOPLE ARE EVEN NICER. IT WAS MUCH MORE THAN I EXPECTED AND I RECOMMEND THAT IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO GO TO ARUBA THEN YOU MUST CHECK THIS PLACE OUT BEFORE YOU CHECK ANYWHERE ELSE. ONE THING I HAVE TO MENTION IS THAT THE HOTEL IS LOCATED IN SAVANETA WHICH IS AWAY FROM THE HIGH RISE AND LOW RISE DISTRICTS AND IN A MORE RESIDENTIAL AREA AND NOT ON THE BEACH SO IF YOU WANT BEACH ACCESS YOU MUST TAKE A VEHICLE SO MY ADVICE IS RENT A VEHICLE AS SOON AS YOU GET THERE AND HEAD STRAIGHT TO ""CLUB ARIAS"" Mehr

A pesar de lo agotante del viaje por motivos del vuelo, al llegar se nos olvido todo el cansancio, las habitaciones son hermosas, y lastima que no pudimos quedarnos mas tiempo, pero desde ya estamos planificando pra regresar el enero. Excelente todo!!!!

I have stayed at a number of hotels/b&b's etc. From 0-6 stars, but I have to say that Club Arias are something of their own. The suites are spacious, very nice, well equipped. The property is a divine garden with 2 pools, lot of sunbeds etc. Brings peace in mind :) The hosts took all of the guests (that wanted) to a dinner at a local place - Sultans. […] This was a genuine pleasure - best meal yet! Stay here if you are having a getaway alone or with your partner/family. Do not stay here if you want high party factor and tourist cowd. Wireless is included, but from my room, no 3, the signal was bad so I had to sit outside my room to use the net. 'Cold' water in the shower in the room is in fact sun heated and not very cold at all. Perfect for me. I also loved the two out door showers with very hot water, excotic. The AC in the room was a bit noisy, but I guess that is the price to pay for single units. I really loved the outer areas! The food served was great, I got perfectly cooked breakfast just the way I ordered it. The hosts were even greater, always helpful, alwasy a pleasant word. They also has a great list of local alternative restaurants (alternative to the tourist recommendations) that really had great food, I tried a couple and that really added value to my stay at Aruba. If you are lucky, Kent is also staying at Arias. He can give you a snorkelling trip through the corals you will not forget. We snorkelled both day and night - it was great! Club Arias is my #1 choice when I return to Aruba, and also my recommendations to my friends and relatives, Regards Hilde Mehr

Somos venezolanos mi Novio y Yo fuimos a disfrutar de varios días de descanso en Aruba y decidimos hospedarnos en el Club Arias. El Sr Arias, su Esposa, y Gabriel muy amables. La Suite muy bonita, cómoda, y muy bien equipada.
