We loved this hotel. We were only there for one night but everything about our room - including the view - was spectacular. We also are not casino people and liked the fact that we didn't have to go through it to get from the (free) parking to the hotel lobby. But they gave us $10 each to go play at the casino....and after signing up for a free membership, […] where I got another $10 to play with, I won $30 at the roulette wheel and got the heck out of that smoky place. This is a very nice hotel! Clean, new. If you aren't into gambling this hotel is still fine-a block away from the casino by skyway. I stayed 2 nights and they were quiet and comfortable. Good restaurants close by in Greektown. I will stay here again.

We had a great time! Great service at Greektown. Lots of things to do. Right downtown and close to everything!

Can't say enough good things about this hotel. They hooked it up and very friendly. Staff let us do an early check in at 7am, the breakfast buffet was delicious, the hotel room was clean and comfortable (the tile floors were even heated!), sports bar was friendly and even turned on an out of town baseball game for me that you can only find on the MLB […] package, location is right in the thick of things!! I never do reviews but I wanted to take the time this time around. Seriously one of my best stays of all time. Mehr

Couldn't want much more from a casino-hotel. Hotel was seperate from casino which takes that smokey cha-ching out of the equation. Highly recommended

Very nice hotel and staff, they just need to somehow make the surrounding streets a little more comfortable for people to walk around and enjoy Greektown. The bums were a little much for me and my wife, she wouldn't even leave the hotel for dinner.

Happy with the two nights I stayed. Wanted to stay a few more nights but the rates almost tripled. They did not try to work with me on the rate, even though they have package rate, stay two nights get one free. I needed to ask for that at the start of my stay. everything was conveniently located. we came for a red wings game. so the people mover came in very handy. parking is free,so we never moved our car until we left. we stayed around greektown or used the people mover. food was excellent! however, dont stray too far from greektown or the people mover at any given stop. surrounding areas dont look too […] safe. we will come again. great hassle free time. We stayed two nights at the Greektown Casino Hotel in March of 2011. Overall, we had a pleasant stay but the hotel missed on a few details that would have made it outstanding. First the good. The staff is overwhelmingly friendly and attentive. Everyone we encountered was helpful and asking what they could to to make our stay better. The check-in and […] out process was fast and smooth. The rooms are smaller than in the other hotels in Detroit, but plenty big for two people. The bed is comfortable and the linens were clean. Like I said, there were a few small details that kept our stay from being outstanding. First, when a member of our party leaned down to plug in her cell phone, she found an open condom wrapper up against the chair leg. It was a little out of the way, but still seemed to be a big thing for housekeeping to miss. Secondly, the people we were traveling with got a roll-away cot in thier room, but never asked for one. Also, our shampoo was never replaced despite its clearly being empty. For some travelers, the walls may be on the thin end. I think we heard every conversation in the hallway. We're heavy sleepers, so it didn't bother us, but I can see where a light sleeper might have a problem. The hotel is very conveniently located in the Greektown district of downtown, so there's plenty of places to eat and have a drink within an easy and safe walk. For destinations further away, there's an attached People Mover (tram) stop through the casino. All in all, we had a good stay in Greektown despite the annoyances and would definitely stay there again. Mehr

For easy Greektown access, or to Ford Field, its the perfect spot.

This was our 3rd time booking Greektown Hotel and Casino in 2 months. By far the best value for a hotel in the area in my opinion. We easily pull right into the parking garage off the highway and we're in for the night. Everything we need is within walking distance. Great restaurants both on site and across the street. Be sure to hit up the bakery on […] your way back to the room. Not a huge casino gaming floor if you're a table player but the hotel rooms are clean, well laid out and modern. Mehr

The hotel is very nice, the food in the restaurant is good, but it's hard to get to amenities--they have no sundries store, so I can never bring food to work when I'm in Detroit on business. Love the hotel. Attached to the casino by a enclosed bridge. The rooms are ultra-modern with every bit of space used in great ratio. The bathrooms are spacious enough, but don't intrude into the main room. If I could design my home master bedroom/bath, it would be exactly like the one at Greektown.

First time staying in the hotel. Very clean, great security, close to many local things. Very good value for the type of hotel. I will be staying there again most certainly.

Public transport is easily accessible. Lots of eateries within walking distance in addition to those onsite. Temporary negative was construction across street early in morning; constant negative is fluctuating temperature in room all night. Hot, then cold; covers on-covers off most of night.

Best hotel I have stayed at. Great service from all employees I came in contact with. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and very inviting. Hotel room was nice,but was very unhappy that you automatically charged full amount to my credit card as soon as I booked the room. I had intended to just pay cash upon arrival. They also put addional charge of 100.00 on my card for 48hours to cover additional charges I might make. First time in Detroit and first time at a casino. Rhea at the front desk was wonderful. She held a conversation with my party while we were waiting to check in. Everyone was friendly even the valet staff. Didn't like detroit but would go back just to stay at greektown

Great hotel in a solid location for the money. Casino is not the nicest, but the hotel itself is very nice.

We were in Detroit for the Red Wing game. This place made it very easy for us to get to and from the game on the people mover. Nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. Little gambling after the game made it a cheaper outing too.

They should have more space for non-smokers in casino. Other than that everything was perfect.
