We stayed a couple nights and had nothing to complain. We were out and about a lot and therefore cannot say anything about the bar, pool, gym etc., but the room and service were great!

"Holiday Inn Express in West Knoxville"
My husband and I thought the front desk staff were great. We used the work out facility too! Nice to have a hot breakfast FREE the next day.

We had a two night stay planned in Knoxville at the hotel. Friday morning the weather service advised all of the south to prepare for a major out break of severe thunderstorms and tornados. As the afternoon wore on the weather became more severe and the Knoxville area was an area targeted. My wife and I did not want to travel from Atlanta through the […] storms so we decided to not go knowing we would have a one night penalty for cancelling within 5 hours of our arrival. I contacted Hotels.com and they said they would contact the hotel and ask if they would allow us to cancel that night without a penalty due to the weather. To my surprize they said they would and would lets us keep our Saturday night reservation. That is customer service and if I am back in Knoxville I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express and If that is the way Holiday Inn trains it associates around the country when posssible I will stay with the chain, Mehr

I have stayed in other Holiday Inns, but none as nice as this one. From the staff to the rooms to the ammenities it is a top notch hotel.
"Very nice, except for the bed"
Our room was great. Nice people. Great breakfast. The only down side was that we should have slept in the floor, since the bed wasn't even that soft. I woke exhausted and in pain. I was really surprised. A foam topper would make a world of difference. Otherwise, it was a nice place to stay.

We stayed here while visiting our son and his family at Thanksgiving. We had a very good visit with our son and his family and were much more comfortable at the hotel which was very closeby. We let other family members have the extra bedrooms at their house. A great decision!

The best stay I have ever had in a chain hotel. Every inch of the room/bathroom was spotless. The staff went out of its way to assist with late check out and tending to my specific needs. The colors in the room were bright and cheerful. The full breakfast was kept fresh and was very tasty. Everything about our stay was pleasing.

The hotel was new and extremely clean. The room had a great aroma that lasted the whole time we were there. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The bed was a bit firm but alright. Only draw-back was the housekeeping staff starts rounds very early. If you are a late riser, be sure to put the Do Not Disturb sign out the night before. This hotel is approximately 15 miles outside of downtown Knoxville. […] THe location is right off of I40 and easy to find. approximately one mile away is every store and international cuisine you could ever ask for and the Smokey Mountain Brewery. "Friendly staff but bricks for beds"
The people in this hotel were very friendly but no one in my family got any sleep because of the mattresses. They were as hard as bricks. If this hotel changes its beds then we will stay there all the time for our travels. We love the fact that it is a non-smoking facility.

Less than a year old, this Holiday Inn Express was beautiful and very retro. Breakfast was fantastic. I did not encounter any staff that were not friendly or helpful.

This hotel was just off the interstate but very quiet. We had a front facing room and could see the highway but could not hear it. It snowed quite a bit but they kept the entrance clear of ice and snow. The breakfast buffet was hot and fresh, although a bit disorganized due to weather and holiday scheduling issues. The guy working to keep the buffet […] filled had never worked breakfast before and got stuck doing it alone on the day after Christmas, when the hotel appeared nearly full. "Nice with few exceptions"
2nd time staying here -had few problems with maid not leaving enough towels and toilet paper (lol). Wouldbe nice to have hot tub in pool area. Breakfast was excellent.

"Nice hotel for the money, lousy check in!"
The hotel was clean and comfortable. Beds were comfy and cozy, and everything was as you would expect in that price range. Breakfast was ample and the attendant was pleasant. The front desk clerk lacked basic people skills and set our overnight stay off on the wrong track. She didn't have our reservation and certainly wasn't pleasant about it. She miraculously […] found it and told me I didn't give her the right name (my own!). On this point alone, I would not stay there again...although the hotel was nice, clean and priced well. Mehr

"Nice hotel - poor customer service"
The hotel was clean and very nice. Little disappointed that the pool area didn't have a hot tub, but no big deal. Breakfast was very good. The problem I had was with the wake up call and how we were treated when we asked about the situation. We set up a wake up call for morning 1 through the automated system from the room. We never got the wake up call. […] When I told them about this at the front desk after we did wake up - we were treated like it was our fault and not even told "I'm sorry about that." When we came in that night - I asked at the front desk for a wake up call - the person at the desk said - sure - "you have to get us to set up your wake up calls" - we should have been told this when we checked in the day before. This obviously irratated us, there was nothing in the room telling us this. You can be the nicest hotel and treat a guest in this manner - it makes us not want to stay here again!! We have another stay at this hotel because we did a "pay ahead" deal - after that - we will not be staying here again. Mehr

On Check out we were presented with an additional Bill. We had our receipt with us from Hotel.com Web Site. Desk clerk retained a copy of our receipt and said would turn over to auditor. Apparantly an error was made on room assingments, so far have not heard from the Hotel about the error.

This was one of the finest rooms I've ever stayed in. Attractive. Clean. Very comfortable. Also, very affordable. The breakfast was top-notch. The dining area was excellent. I can't say enough great things about this hotel. You wont be disappointing.
This hotel is fabulous. Like new, very clean, superb service, good breakfast. If you are in the Knoxville area, I highly recommend it.

"Holiday Inn Express - Farragut"
Our stay in this hotel was nice. It is a new hotel, so everything is very clean. Our room was very spacious at a great price. The suite was great for the kids because there was an extra "room". The pool is pretty small. Four or five people and it's getting crowded. Most families just waited for their turn to get in. The continental breakfast was pretty […] typical. I wasn't impressed, but it was free, so I didn't expect much. Overall, this is a very nice hotel and we would stay again. Mehr

Hotel is new so everything is still nice and clean. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was very good, including eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereals... etc.
