Hotel H2O - Manila

Nehmt Euch bloß genug Zeit ür den Check-in. Wir waren zwei mal im H2O und haben beide Male ca. 1 Stunde gebraucht, bis wir die Zimmer beziehen konnten. Und wir haben den Vorgang schon durch Nachfragen beschleunigt. Ansonsten ist der Preis über ein Buchungsportal angemessen. Die Zimmer (mit Aquarium) sind nett, das Frühstück soweit ok und das Personal […] extrem kompliziert, langsam und desinteressiert. Die Umgebung hat nichts zu bieten außer Rizal Park, aber Taxis sind ja nicht weit. Mehr

das Hotel hat mir sehr geffalen und ich war nicht das erste mal dort,und werde immer wieder buchen ,nur leider ist das so oft das die preise öfter in die höhe schießen,viele mögligkeiten dort für ausflüge,das ocean park ist direct neben das Hotel,sehr sauber,und sehr komfortabel,sher gut zu empfehlen.

Originelles Hotel, durchgestylt mit dem Thema Wasser. Etwas abgelegen. Beschilderung des Hotels war noch nicht vorhanden. Die Rolltreppen waren noch in Arbeit.

Für jemand der Ruhe und first class sucht ist das H2O eher bedingt zu empfehlen ,da es eine Einheit mit dem Ocean Park bildet und je nach Zeit ein riesen Rummel herscht !Wen das nicht stört und auch Freude an der Wasserwelt hat ,kann sich dort gut verweilen ! COME OUT VERY DISSAPPOINTED. TOTALLY APPALLED BY THE SWIMMING POOL AND LOCKER/CHANGING ROOM! THE FACT WAS THAT THE SWIMMING POOL WAS NOT FULLY AVAILABLE AS THEY WERE RUNNING A PAGEANT - NO COMPENSATION FOR LOSS OF USE. WATER WAS EXTREMELY COLD, CHANGING ROOM AND SHOWER WAS DIRTY, NO LOCKS AND YOU HAD TO WALK ALONG WAY TO THE POOL AND YOUR ROOM. It's fine with me & my hubby even little bit costy. The one received the calls in the restaurant she don't keep on asking to somebody for anything I ask it seems she don't know,assign someone who can answer all of the guest query regarding the menu,because not all guest are familiar with ur menu.

Loved the room concept and certainly enjoyed the fish! Room was modern and cozy (Aqua Room) and WIFI was nice as was the TV. Bathroom could use a bit more privacy..... Pool and restaurant were very enjoyable. All and all....a very memorable experience and stay. Thumbs up for a stay.

I just stayed one night before going to an island, the rooms at clean, but perfectly setup, a good lighted bathroom, very modern. The beds are comfortable. I had a room with the Aquarium, which is a fun experience. The complementary snacks nd drinks are great. The finish and service is above the classification. Probably the best location to see sunset over Manila Bay.

It was indeed an experience to stay at a Hotel by the edge of a waterfront...however the Hotel irself is attached to an Oceanarium and entry to both is one and the same...the Atrium of the building is bare...access roads are still being constructed thus drop-off pick-up is a bit confusing... JMS

H2O is a great hotel with a large fish aquarium built into the wall in our room, but the ocean park was way below standards. We were not expecting anything like Sea World to begin with, but aside from the Oceanarium (which is decent) the rest of the park should be classified as false advertising. The "Marine Habitat" is nothing more than 2 seals swimming […] around in a tank, and the Jelly fish area was a waste of space. Based on the fact the hotel was advertised with Ocean Park as an attraction... gotta give a thumbs down. Mehr

The place was really a park hotel than a hotel by the bay. The location was in a construction zone and the hotel was hard to get to. I also had a difficult time getting a taxi around the hotel. I requested a bay view and I got a partial view of the bay plus a view of the wall of a building. I really thought that it was going to be a romantic experience […] since it was our 26 anniversary but I was disappointed. The price did not even include breakfast . I would not return to this hotel just just for the fact that I could find a better rate and service. I did enjoy the spa which was different and relaxing after all. Mehr

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in aqua room. Aquarium in the room - great experience! Very relaxing and fun to look at. However, important information is missing in all descriptions - these rooms have NO windows! In the end of the day I felt as if I was locked in the closet. Had I known that these rooms have no windows, I would not choose the room. The […] personell in the hotel is very sweet and friendly, however not exactly helpful. The service is misunderstood: e.g. during breakfast buffet waiters take your plate WHILE you putting food on it and say, that they will bring it too you. It was difficult to resist. In the end I got loads of food, which I can not eat. The combination was wrong as well - of course they have no idea of what I want to eat and in which quantity. Another example: they take your half-full glass of milk and fill more in it without checking with you first. I think that was annoying. The whole atmosphere during breakfast was very busy primarily due to unnecessary "services" provided. The food was good though. We also had to fill in and sign too many papers - every day for breakfast, then for room service (including how many folks and knives we got). Ridiculous! Mehr

We had a nice stay there. The aqua rooms are outstanding, they got good breakfast and a oversealooking outside bar. The swimmingpool are big but not beautiful cause its made for ocean park show so when you go down for a relaxing moment at the pool, there will be sea lion show and water show just meter away ( free for hotel guests). To get to the swimmingpool […] you must walk out crossing the people that entering the water park. Its still some construction going on outside hotel but overall we liked it here. Mehr

Here is everything and they are hospitable. After our trip, it was nice to relax in akvarierummet and get a couple massage. Upon checking out, it was several hours before the flight went home - you can buy an entry packet at the hotel to watch the various activities they have.

Got a free upgraded room to a premier suite room which is very nice for us especially we have kids with us. Its like we are having honeymoon-feel at the same time when we enter the rOom. The sea view is nice, the room is nice, food is nice. Everything. I never thought we would enjoy the hotel that much. Really changed our idea with that hotel. The ocean […] park is beside the hotel so we are not having hard time. We just go out the hotel and cross to ocean park which is very near. Although we were not accomadated of having late check-out, they have nice sofas at the lobby where we can stay and rest for a while. Mehr

Pros: Very nice facility , can see the water show from your room (dazzling light show at at night), nice breakfast buffet Cons: I called the hotel to send a car to pick me up from the airport--it took TWO HOURS for them to send a car the 1/2 hour drive; upon leaving it took them 15-20 minutes to arrange for a taxi to pick me up--and there's a taxi stand […] right in front of the hotel; I had to request toilet paper when I first checked in-- there wasn't any in the room (they responded to my request immediately, but is this what you will put up with in a hotel-- esp. a 4-star hotel?); some rooms have 2 beds, some have 1; the door to the toilet and shower/bath (these are in their separate rooms) have are floor to ceiling glass with the area between 2 feet off the ground and 6 feet off the ground being frosted--this may be a problem for anyone wanting total bathroom privacy; the sink is open to the room. I didn't realize when I booked this online that it was located in/ part of a theme park. The accomdations are and the staff goes way out of the way to make sure you have what you want and need. I have never gotten such great service at any price anywhere. I came here from Ireland and stayed at a 5 star in Dublin.. great deal for the price

The rooms here actually live up to the ads and pictures presented. The rooms are exceptional with the beds some of the most comfortable I have slept on in all my travels. It is a little isolated if you want to step out and be right next door to other establishments since it is attached to an oceananic aquarium park but stil within easy distance to other […] things. Overall this is my new place to stay in Manilla. It exceeded all other hotels I have stayed at in Manilla. I highly recommend this hotel. Mehr

Great stay, staff was great, a must stay. Bad side is on most days you have to fight your way through hords of kids to get to the front door of the hotel. you have to walk through a kids water park, not the best planing as far as the front door goes.

Nice hotel with reasonable price... but, not a good location... has really nice spa service but, ordinary breakfirst

for American standards it should be less than ehat they are charging. I cannot pit a rate on here but lets just say, its not worth the money. the room was not fancy or anything, the lobby was not like the pictures. I just wasn't impressed.. It was a basic room. Next time (I'm going back in a few months) I'll stay at the best western for half the rate. […] It can't be that much worse. People were friendly and everything, this hotel wasn't "BAD" just in my opinion not worth as much as they claim.. And if you are thinking.. Well DUH it's the Philippines.. Very nice almost brand new hotel. But although it is only 5-6 km. from the airport, expect to spend up to 1 hour in a cap getting to and from the Airport.

Overall stay for 3 nights inside the room was satisfying and a relaxing experience. Buffet breakfast is superb. Construction at the entrance stairs leading to the hotel was not enclosed exposing guests and kids to dust & debris. The long & dark hall from our room to the front desk has a feeling of a confined space.

This hotel is in the middle of one big amusement park. So if you expect to get a good night rest forget it. In my entire life I never experienced such a noisy hotel. I had booked 2 rooms for 8 nights with a park view. Across from my big bay window was a stadium with people looking at the show with sea lions and a view to my room (no privacy unless you […] close the curtains). Then in the evening there was a small version of the Las Vegas Bellagio water and fire show all accompanied with very loud music and laser lights.The first night Friday I had to notify the front office about the noise due to a private party was going on next to the pool. The very loud music went on until 1 am and was the same on Saturday . Finally on Monday I got a new room for myself and one for my son overlooking Manila Bay. This was a beautiful view only they forgot to mention that the both bedrooms were located right above a big arcade where kids were having great fun with very loud entertainment. When you arrive at the hotel you realize that you are in the middle of a construction site, nothing at all to be referred as a 4 star hotel. Where the taxi drops you off you will have to walk thru the entrance of the water attraction park, with hundreds of people with kids waiting to get their pass for the attraction park. Then you will arrive to a small door where you will have to go to the 3rd floor to reach the reception.The restaurant is located on the second floor and the first plus for this place was for the service that we received in the restaurant as well as for breakfast ,lunch and dinner. I would like to take this opportunity to especially say thank you to Rod /John (he was transferred from the Restaurant to the front office/concierge during our stay) for the excellent service and welcome that he provided to us. Also, Ms. Kaya from the front desk was very helpful and caring. Overall I would not recommend this hotel for people who are looking to have a good night sleep and please this hotel Mehr

Nice clean, quiet, room. Good breakfast, they'll even pack one for you to take out if you have an early morning appointment and can't eat in the hotel

Hotel H2O was a very convenient place in terms of location to where I was attending some important matters... It was quite noisy though like some people pounding, hammering and drilling... Some of the housekeeping personnel didn't actually refill the toiletries the day after the first day of stay... I had to call the front desk personnel for that... […] Also in the toiletries no ear buds/cotton buds provided:( I asked for a wake up call usually at 3:00am and I should commend the front desk personnel because they'd really do that for you. The Makan-Makan Asian Restaurant has some waiters or Food and Beverage Attendants who should undergo retraining for they don't tell you right away if the food you ordered isn't available... I was informed that the 2 dishes I ordered like the bird's nest soup and beef hofan nanking style were both not available and I was already very hungry:( CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE and this should be inculcated in the minds of the service providers... In general I'd still recommend the hotel ccoz I simply like it there... Mehr

Most of my complaints pertain to the particular room I was given, room 3213. This room should not be used. The shower is the problem, the floor's low point is the shower door and it is very low so the water does not flow towards the drain, but towards the door and the door's bottom does not seal so all the water flows straight out and floods the carpet. […] Even putting a towel under the door does not help because the towel quickly becomes saturated and then soaks the carpet. Management did not seem to care, despite complaining, I was not offered a room change, just an apology which did nothing to correct the problem. Like I said, this room should not be in service, you can already see the carpet is getting damaged(mold/mildew) from being constantly soaked from every guest use. A second complaint about this room is the view, it is a Bay View room, but the double pane window is not sealed properly therefore there is constant moisture in between the panes of glass, and so you don't have a clear view outside. Otherwise, this is a nice hotel to stay at, very comfortable room, nice bed, aircon, and solid free wifi. Fitness room has good equipment. Mehr

Big floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay as well as the outdoor bar below. At night you can see the big screen TV at the bar...not sure if they can see you. Room had only 2 single beds instead of one big queen because of the cheaper price deal. The shower and toilet are in the same glass walled room. The drain worked ok in my room but in my […] friends room the water drained outside onto the bedroom carpet. The gym air conditioner is turned higher when somebody starts to use it so you will start to perspire profusely until the worker sees you and decides to turn it higher. Mehr

This was my second time visiting Manila and we had a great time at this hotel. Ocean theme amusements as well as room theme was really relaxing. We had a beautiful view of the bay and the sunset view was spectacular. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Manila area. Thank you H2O for a memorable stay.

Aqua room was amazing!!! Not sure what other people were talking about when they said the shower flooded the room... I don't think they realized the door has two purposes as a shower door and as a door for the bathroom. The restaurant makan makan had great food and service! Even room service was very very affordable! Only downside is that taxis don't […] come by often and u will have to walk to the main road or use the hotel service which is more expensive or u have to share with other people and wait for other people to share with. First, I was really disappointed at the front desk of the drop off area. We came three times asking for the parking area and they never assisted us and informed us about the valet service. They were not accomodating at all. But then, when we stayed at the hotel, thanks to the front desk staff who were very accomodating and the zenyu eco spa services […] which made us happy and satisfied. Hope to come soon with my kids with a better service at the front desk of the drop off area. But then over all, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks very much. Mehr

Hotel is excellent but the location is not convenient. To walk towards the entrance is a bit hassle, have to join with the crowd who are getting inside the park. Also, if you want to get out of the hotel, it's difficult to get a taxi, there's no hotel staff to assist you. We had no choice but to walk outside the gate of the Manila Ocean park to find […] one. Got scared while walking in the National Park (Luneta) where homeless, snatchers abode in every corner just to find a ride. Mehr

For most Americans visiting the Philippines this Hotel will be fine. They're presently doing construction in front of the building, but inside the rooms are clean and comfy, the service is fine, and it's in central Manila. I have enjoyed both of my stays here.

Room is ok but I didn't get sleep the whole night because of the sounds coming from the aquarium seems like it's gonna burst out or aquarium glass wall seems it's gonna brake anytime...I was scared all night. Also, it got flooded... water came out from the shower. Glass shower room wall needed to be checked. My husband was so disappointed. Lastly, hotel […] management shld checked the hotel sorroundings....litter all over the place around the hotel bay...lot's of different garbage... I was shy to my husband when he commented about the water sorround the hotel..... dark and dirty. construction everywhere........ Mehr

The Bathroom had terrible drainage, and more towels should be provided. There is also no privacy from others in the room if you need to use the toilet

stayed at hotel h20 last weekend with the family and kids. we stayed at the aquaroom, and i find it very unique. i just dont like that the pool area is not inside the hotel; you have to walk out into the oceanarium lobby area to get to the pool. the fish spa (whole body) is quite an experience too; although quite pricey at php300/30minutes.

Had an overnight stay at the hotel. Unfortunately, it was undergoing construction in the foyer of the Park. Rooms are nice and clean, however, the information the reservation desks give out about the number of guests that it can accomodate is ridiculous. I stayed with my children who are both teenagers and we were told that ther Parkview room would […] fit the three of us. They even asked for my kids ages. When we arrived in the room, we had 2 twin/single beds. How they think we can fit in that room, was mind bongling. When reserving rooms in the Philippines, always check the beds they are giving you. Also, perhaps they would rethink the glass doors of the shower rooms. It is very uncomfortable to bathe with just an opaque glass separating you from your children in the room. Mehr

otentials of the hotel are great, but due to renovation and an unqualified front desk impact the arrival wasn't very pleasant. a part of that people at the entrance, porters guards room level attendant where super nice, but the people at the reception probably are a bit frustrated and not only with us, a few argues went on with the 3 parties we met […] during check in. the hotel it's built on an harbour building, so the sea view is breath taking, but behind the conditions of the area are desperate. in house is substantial nice (we didn't try the restaurant though) room comfortable but if you share a room, there is no privacy what so ever because there is no separate wall between toilet and bedroom and this can be a problem on the level of confidence and puritanisms of the room guests. pretend to be very stylish hotel but to be so there are several things to be adjusted still and for what it is right now, the price is 15% over the correct one. the staff was very good and friendly, the hotel was very expensive, the food was good, but very small portions, drinke were very expensive 100 pescos for coffee, the water around the hotel war full of trash, gargage, , it looked like a city dump.not many places to eat close by.taxi fare to mall of asia was 150 pescos
