Sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel in sehr guter Lage

Ich hatte das wohl kleinste Einzelzimmer in London. Das Zimmer (ca. 2x2 m) war schmuddelig, die Teetasse war vom Vormieter benutzt und nicht gesäubert worden. Die Ablage des "Regals" reichte in den Kopfteil des Bettes. Das Bad (60x60 cm) bestand aus einem winzigen Waschbecken über dem der Duschkopf hing. Trotz Duschvorhang lief das Wasser durch die […] Tür. Schlanke Personen können sich darin sogar umdrehen. Es herrschte immer ein schlechter muffiger Geruch, bei dem nicht klar war, ob dieser von außen oder der Lüftung kam. Das Frühstück bestand aus reichlich Toast, Kaffee, Tetrapacksäften, gekochten Eiern und Marmelade. Allerdings war der Frühstücksraum ein kleiner Raum hinter der Rezeption. Fazit: für Londoner Verhältnisse wohl günstig und auch gut gelegen, aber bietet keinerlei Wohlfühlfaktor. Mehr

Für ein Dreisternhotel ist der Essraum zu klein und das Angebot zu minimal. Wir schätzten die Freundlichkeit des Personals, die Sauberkeit und die zentrale Lage des Hotels.

Very poor. Arrived to be told that there would be a charge for paying by card, something I have never experienced anywhere else and was not indicated when booking. Single room was on the first stairs landing which mean't lots of noise from people coming and going. Tiny room, probably converted storage closet, was the length of the very narrow single […] bed and twice as wide. Draught came in through window even when closed. Attached shower and toilet was almost unuseable due to small size. Didn't even bother using breakfast facilities. I have used budget hotels in London before but never had an experience as bad as this one. Mehr

i booked into the box room number 12, Just about fitted a double bed in there, the floor was covered in laminate flooring although they must have ran out of stock as large spaces appear looking more like crazy paving. There was a tv in the room but had "no signal" on all channels, The breakfast room was so small people were standing outside to queue […] up to enter for breakfast. A box room is a box room, but the 'small single room' was a squash. Although it was clean, tidy, ensuite and all the equipment and linen were clean and fresh the crampedness of the room impinged on my comfort. I suspect that bigger rooms had a bit more room, but it did feel a bit like a prison cell. Unnervingly there were no curtains and the main window […] can only be described as glass blocks built into the wall. While in the middle of winter this is managable, in lighter months this would be awful for getting a good nights sleep. It also made me feel less secure as I splet - or tried as I heard every word and step of people arriving and walking upstairs through the gap under my door! I can't say I would recommend this to people I liked, but if push came to shove I may book again for a stop over to somewhere else - but never again in the 'small single room'!! Mehr

Rom 26 "Shower only" is the smallest room I have ever seen. Exactly twice the size of the small single bed. Although most of the floor space space is taken up by the cabinet and the door opening into the room. A small suitcase is a must, and even then you run out of floorspace. "Shower only" means the toilet is two stairs down, shared by other guests. Breakfast […] is toast, cheese, boiled egg and jam. Nice people. The only thing this hotel has,(I do not know anything about the other rooms, though I think room 8, in the basement, is about the same standard.), is the location, 2-300m from Notting Hill Gate Underground station, which is on the District, Circle, and Central Line. The Nothing Hill Gate Hotel in London was a pleasant surprise. The room, albeit in the basement and slightly small, was clean and quite well maintenanced. The room had all the necessary amneties: shower, toilet and proper heating. The double bed was not expected as the room was sold a single, but can't complain about that. Breakfast was included and […] it was the basic "continental" breakfast including toast, cornflakes, boiled eggs and tea/coffee/juice. Atleast there was some effort put in with the fruit salad, which is not normally found at this price hotels (alas the salad was from a can, but you can't always win...) In general the NHG Hotel was good value for paying a moderately cheap price and still being well located and having a quite pleasant room. Mehr

No elevator. Stinking bathroom, no windows... but in the end it's what you get in the area and for the price, I've been to worse places.

We stayed for one night as we had engagements in notting hill. Fine for one night, cheap and easy location. Easy check in. Such a simplistic room, it was clean but very run down which made me uneasy. The bed was really uncomfortable and the curtains thin. I would only give this hotel a 2/5 as we didn't spend more than 6 hours in there and all of these […] we're spent sleeping (i checked in from work, left straight away to my engagement, came back at 3am then got up at 9am for work). Definitely not good enough for an actual holiday/ families. we didn't even attempt breakfast due to very negative reviews on here. as a londoner, I can tell you there are much better breakfasts to be had! I've seen much better, but also much worse. no major complaints i suppose. Mehr

My basement room was quirky, but really quite nice. Shower took several minutes to get hot, but did eventually (don't give up.) Wifi free, but no signal in this basement room on any connection. The "rooms open onto balconies" is misleading. Reception told me 2 rooms fit this description. Great location and very inexpensive for central London.

Nice budget hotel in an excellent location. Friendly staff securely stored my luggage until check-in when I arrived early. The free wifi is a great bonus. If you don't like stairs, be careful which room you are given. No lift. My room was on the top floor up about 70 steps. A large or heavy suitcase could be a big problem. My room was also interior, […] so it had no window which was a little strange. Still, the skylight let in sufficient light and provided adequate ventilation. The hotel is fine, budget accommodation. The area is good but there is not a lot of life around, only the Hyde Park and a bit farther the Portobello Market. The room number 1 is weird, not able for fat people and without mobile signal, but it is comfortable and is en-suite, I do not why here they say that it is not. This is the single room and I think […] that the have only one single room, but again, the bed in double, the picture around is out-of-date. Hotelli on näppärästi muutama sata metriä Notting Hill Gaten metroasemalta, joten yhteydet toimivat. Sijainti umpikujakadulla on silti suhteellisen rauhallinen. En nähnyt hotellin muita huoneita, mutta huoneeni - jota kyllä tilausaviheessa kutsuttiin pienehköksi - oli kyllä pienin ikinä näkemäni hotellihuone, lähinnä komero. No, siellä pystyi nukkumaan […] ja WC ja suihku toimivat. Aamiaishuoneessa joutuu kiireisempään aikaan jonottamaan istumapaikkaa, jotta saa muronsa, teensä ja toastinsa nautittua. Henkilökunta kaikkiaan on asiallisen ystävällistä. Tämä nyt kaikkiaan kai on sitä, mitä huokeahkoon hintaan Lontoossa voi odottaa. Mehr

Trevlig personal, rent och bra frukost! Kanonläge till tunnelbanan, 5 min till Oxfortd street! Väldigt prisvärt!

Helt ok hotell. Centralt till ett bra pris. Absolut inte lyxigt men heller inte ofräscht. Frukosten var bristfällig med ok.

Hôtel très bien situé et dans un quartier tranquille ! La salle pour le petit déjeuner est effectivement pas très grande mais nous n'avons jamais attendu pour avoir une place ! La chambre composée de 2 lits de 2 personnes n'est pas super spacieuse mais pour le temps que l'on y passe c'est largement suffisant ! Je retournerai sans soucis dans cet hôtel […] pour mon prochain séjour à Londres ! Je vous conseille de passer boire une bière au pub le Churchill qui se trouve à moins de 5 min de l'hôtel . Mehr

udleje værelser på 6 m2 med brus og toilet i kælderen! Og ingen brandvej! Det fremgik ikke af beskrivelsen ved bestilling, at det var SÅ småt. Mod suppl. betaling - efter det første døgn, flyttet til 4sal, med fint badeværelse MEN vandet havde svært ved at nå derop, der var så lidt tryk på, at hårvask var umulig! Hotellet har måske en udemærket beliggenhed, men comforten og standarten er simpelthen for dårlig. Vi kom med 2 børn og selvom det var muligt at booke 4 sengs værelse var hotellet efter vores mening ikke beregnet til børn!

Utfra bilder skulle dette være den perfekte plassen for to venninner på tur i London, på jakt etter den enes brudekjole. Riktignok gode venner, men det ble bestilt rom for to, vi fikk en trang dobbeltseng. Det eneste twinrommet viste lavere standard, men ihvertfall med to senger, ingen nattbord, ett åpent skeivt skap i forenden, men helt ok bad. Frokost […] rommet var på størrelse med et lite hotellrom og rommet vel maks 15 pers. En, til og begynne med, sur resepsjonist myknet etter hvert opp men gav oss ikke det beste førsteintrykket. Greit å ha opplevd men ikke igjen... Ellers veldig lettvint beliggenhet, (3 min til t-banen og Starbucks på veien for en utfyllende frokost :)) Mehr

Bodde med familjen 5 nätter i slutet av oktober. Vi hade ett rum för fyra. Rummet var så litet att det kanppt fick plats en liten dubbelsäng och två enkelsängar. Det fanns en liten garderob med 4 galgar. Rummet var ganska rent men t.ex filtarna i sängarna hade fläckar och hårstrån redan när vi kom. Toaletten var väldigt liten men ändå den bästa delen […] av rummet. Städningen sköttes ok. Bra med wifi access som ingick i rummet. Frukosten som också ingick serverades i källaren i ett rum med plats för två bord där man klämt in 5. Det var oerhört varmt och trångt. Uthärdligt om man såg till att komma ned i god tid innan alla andra ville äta. Bedrövligt att en kortavgift på 35 £ togs ut vid betalningen.Den kanske man kunde ha protesterat mot men det gjorde inte vi. Avslutningsvis var hotellet en besvikelse, läget är dock mycket bra med gångavstånd till Portobello Road och bra förbindeleser till övriga delar av London. Mehr

Hotellet ligger dejligt tæt på metroen. Men værelserne er så små (8m2), at man ikke 2 personer kan bevæge sig rundt. Vi fik først et værelse i kælderen, hvor der var voldsomt kold og en konstant larm. Efter 1 nat, fik vi heldigvis vores værelse ombyttet, dog til et mindre værelse men på 4 sal hvor der var roligt. Sengen var dog på hjul, så man skulle […] ikke bevæge sig meget, før man skøjtede rundt. Morgenmaden bestod af tøre toast i et alt for lille lokale. Derudover ville hotellet have kontakt betaling af hele opholdet ved ankomst, hvilket der ikke var angivet nogen steder, så vi måtte rende nabolaget rundt efter en hæveautomat kl. 2 om natten :( Mehr

Hade bokat ett enkelrum där det tydligen inte finns en toalett på rummet, men när jag anlände fick jag ett dubbelrum med komplett badrum pga ngn dubbelbokning så jag vart extremt nöjd. Rent och fint på rummet, inte så hjälpsam personal dock. Och packa ingen tung väska då det är trappor, många trappor.

Der var lige plads til en ret kort seng på enkeltværelset nr.26. Der var et lille brusebad, men intet toilet på værelset. Lå lige op ad trappen i receptionsområdet, og man skulle ned forbi receptionen for at benytte toilettet her. Ikke så sjovt midt om natten. Blev konstant vækket igennem natten af højrøstede gæster, der selvfølgelig ankom via receptionen. […] Næsten som at ligge på gangen rent lydmæssigt. Hotel centrale, ottimo per una notte sconsigliato per un lungo soggiorno..la stanza singola priva di confort, ma adatta per un breve soggiorno...consigliabile solo per prezzo e posizione

We are a family (2 adult and 3 children 9,12,15). We stayed there for 5 nights. We are very satisfied. Had a family room - small, but thats the standard, i think. The bathroom was nice and clean. The breakfast-room was small, but ok. Ok breakfast. Quiet street. Very good location, you can walk to many attractions (if you like). Start the day with walking […] trough Hyde park. Underground with Central line and Circle line just around the corner. A very nice and more quiet area, with many nice, small shops and restaurants. Mehr

Io ci sono andato da solo, ho preso una singola e mi sono ritrovato in uno sgabuzzino. La scelta era un aut aut: o io o la valigia. Il compromesso è stato camminare sulla valigia per girarmi in quel cubicolo. Pulizia mediocre. L'unica cosa che lo salva è la posizione: West end, Notting Hill, a un tiro di schioppo da Portobello road e attaccato alla […] stazione della metro, dalla quale si può raggiungere qualsiasi angolo della città.
