Lage
Domus Diana befindet sich in der Nähe von: Museo Nazionale D'Arte Orientale, Kolloseum und Santa Maria Maggiore. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Basilika San Giovanni in Laterano und Teatro dell'Opera di Roma.

Das Domus Diana bietet Folgendes: Unterstützung bei der Tourenplanung/beim Ticketerwerb, Fahrstuhl und klimatisierte öffentliche Bereiche. Gegen eine Gebühr können Sie folgende Transferdienste nutzen: Flughafenshuttle (rund um die Uhr), Shuttle zum Kreuzfahrtschiffterminal und Shuttle zum Fährterminal. Dieses Haus wurde im Juli 2011 komplett renoviert.
Zimmer
Die 5 klimatisierten Zimmer im Domus Diana sind folgendermaßen ausgestattet: Wasserkocher für Tee und Kaffee und Bügeleisen/Bügelbretter. Zur Badausstattung gehören: Bidets und Haartrockner. Der Reinigungsservice wird täglich angeboten.

Auch wenn mein Aufenthalt nur eine Nacht dauerte (EuroLeague-Fußballspiel), war ich sehr zufrieden. Kleines, aber recht ruhiges & sauberes Einzelzimmer. Auch das Hotel an sich liegt in einer eher ruhigen Seitenstraße, obwohl die viel befahrene Via Cavour gerade mal 20m entfernt ist. Da ich mit der Bahn anreiste, war mir die kurze Entfernung (ca. 10 Fußminuten) zum Hauptbahnhof Termini sehr wichtig. Mit dem Frühstück in einem etwas kleinen Raum (3 oder 4 Tische) bei gemütlichem Ambiente war ich ebenfalls zufrieden. Müsli, Joghurt, Ei, Schinken, Marmelade, Honig, Brötchen, Crossants ... dazu Saft & Cappuccino/Kaffee - reichhaltiger geht es für ein 2-Sterne-Hotel mit günstigem Preis wohl kaum noch. Das freundliche, junge Personal an der Rezeption (die Tag & Nacht besetzt ist, so dass man seinen Schlüssel abgeben kann) trug schließlich zu meinem guten Gesamteindruck bei. Der einzige Negativpunkt ist das nicht richtig schließbare Fenster (ließ sich bei Druck leicht öffnen), dafür konnte ich jedoch die Jealousiene außen zumachen und innen die Vorhänge zu ziehen.

Ich war nur kurz hier zu Gast, was aber schon ausreichte, um die viel gepriesene Hilfsbereitschaft und Serviceorientierung zu erleben und spüren. Ich konnte bereits um 10 Uhr Einchecken, etwas arbeiten (WLAN zuverlässig), bevor ich zu meiner Abendveranstaltung ging. Am nächsten Morgen musste ich bereits 6 Uhr das Haus verlassen. Problemlos und Frühstück zum Selbernehmen (und EInpacken) gab es auch. "Feel at home!" hieß es am Ende des Herumführens beim Einchecken. Das war auch in der Tat der Fall!

Top Personal, immer ein Tipp und Lächeln parat. Beste Lage im "alten" Rom. Nur wenige Gehminuten vom Kolosseum, Palatin, Forum Romanum, usw. Empfehlenswert! Gerne wieder.

Diese Ferienwohnung ist ein absoluter Geheimtip! Als ich die Bilder von den vielen schönen Zimmern und den Preis gesehen habe, war ich erst skeptisch, da es zu schön schien, um wahr zu sein. Die Vermieter haben uns dann am Tag der Anreise gleich angeschrieben und uns beim Finden der Pension und der Anreise Tips gegeben. Sie haben uns dann sogar einen Treffpunkt genannt und uns abgeholt. Als wir einmal ein Problem mit dem Schlüssel hatten, haben Sie uns auch sofort geholfen und waren innerhalb von zehn Minuten da. Die Wohnung ist ziemlich weit oben, man muss also einige Treppen hoch, dafür hat man von der schönen Terrasse einen super Blick! Der Rest des Apartments ist auch toll, Fernseher, Sofa, zwei Schlafzimmer mit Küche, in der man sich auch bedienen kann (Geschirr, Töpfe, Salz, Kaffee, Nudeln und Pesto). Das Bad ist ganz frisch renoviert und supersauber. Und man ist mitten in der Stadt! 5-10 Minuten zum Piazza Novana, 20 Minuten zu Fuß zum Colosseum und dem Forum Romanum, 10 Minuten zum Trevi-Brunnen. Alles in allem ein Glücksgriff!

"Tolle Erfahrung"
Wir haben den Aufenthalt bei Diana sehr genossen. Jedoch, wer ein Hotel mit 24h Check in, TV und sonstigen Amenities haben will ist hier falsch. Es handelt sich hier um eine sehr liebevoll eingerichtete alte Wohnung welche in 5 Zimmer unterteilt ist. Alles top renoviert und definitiv über einem normalen Rom Standard. Bei uns war es jedoch ein Problem, […] da der Flieger erst sehr spät ankam. Durch viel bitten ist dann der Ehemann extra um halb 12 mit dem Schlüssel gekommen und hat uns unser Zimmer gezeigt. Sehr nett, jedoch nicht üblich, darum vorher Ankunftszeit abklären. Metrostation Vittorio Emanuelle ist gleich in der Nähe und das Coloseum ist auch per 10 Minuten Marsch durch den Park Domus Aurea erreichbar. "Perfect room but disappointed with the service"
The room was perfect, very comfortable especially after a long day walking around Rome. Very clean and modern. There was a bit of noise from the theatre opposite the hotel but that didn't stop us from getting a good night's sleep. The shared kitchen was very useful. However the service we recieved was terrible. We didn't even meet the owner, the only […] communication we had with what we think were members of staff but may have just been some friends or family of hers was when we were shown to our room and when someone came to pick up the money for the room. If I hadn't text the owner of the hotel the night before we left to arrange payment I don't know how she would have taken it. I chose this hotel for the reviews saying that the owner was great and helpful when giving advice on getting around Rome and where to go etc. Unfortunately I never got to see that side of the service. Other than that the room was perfect and the location is great, five minutes to the Colleseum and five minutes to the Metro which is the best way to get around. My wife and I stayed for 5 nights. The hotel was a bit difficult to find at first because there is no sign hanging outside - keep an eye out for the house number. The receptionist spoke little English, but enough to communicate the important things. He was friendly and helpful. The room was well decorated and all of the amenities worked well (our room […] did not have an iron/ironing board combo), except for the hairdryer which had been glued to the lowest setting by a previous occupant. The room was tended to daily - I say "tended to" because it was not necessarily cleaned. The garbage was emptied and the toilet paper and tiny packets of shampoo/body wash replenished, but that's it. The floors were very dusty for the duration of our stay, but otherwise the room was very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the comforter soft and warm. Wifi is only available in the lounge. One downside is that noise travels very well in this hotel, so it was quite noisy in the morning. On the upside, the location of the hotel was great and is in close proximity to lots of sites and Metro stations - a 10 minute walk from Termini, 10 minute walk from the Colosseum. There are good restaurants and cafes nearby as well. If you are looking for something more than a bed, table, toilet and shower on your vacation, then this is not the place for you. Lovely little hotel. Very convenient to the Colleseum and most other areas. We never got to meet Diana but the other workers were very helpful. "BEAUTIFUL!!"
Such a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. I loved the neighborhood and the rooms were BEAUTIFUL and incredibly clean. Comfy bed. :-) Diana was a GEM. We adored her as well as the maid on staff. They were both incredibly friendly, helpful and accomodating. When you arrive you will see 2 huge locked wooden doors...there is a call button to the right. "Amazing hidden gem!"
The hotel is conveniently located near the termini station and there's a metro stop around 5 minutes away. It's in a lovely little neighbourhood and part of a very secure apartment block. You'll find plenty of bars, restaurants and shops nearby but we didn't eat in them. We enjoyed walking round all the little back streets and finding quiet, non touristy […] places where the food and drink is half the price. Back to the hotel, we were welcomed by Diana's friendly cleaner who showed us to our room and did a superb job of looking after our room every day. We had clean towels every day although one day we had no towels left but a phone call to Diana on the mobile she leaves you quickly sorted this out. The rooms are modern, spacious and very clean and I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced stay for fantastic standards. Thanks Diana for a pleasant stay! We enjoyed our host and our stay here. We also appreciated the common kitchen area, so we could keep yogurt and cereal etc for breakfasts at "home". Very enjoyable stay at Domus Diana. Staff very friendly and helpful, shared kitchen well stocked with utensils etc and useful for a break from the pizza/pasta routine! "Very nice"
When we arrived, it was difficult to figure out where to go because it is basically an apartment building, however, Marco, the building porter called Diana, the hotel-apartment owner-manager, who let us in. We did not know what to expect until we went into the place. It is basically one big apartment that has been turned into a hotel by separating the […] rooms and installing full bathrooms for every room. The rooms themselves are large, comfortable, clean, airy, with modern furnishings. The bathrooms have new modern fixtures and are equally clean. The huge plus was the A/C in the room. It was 90 degrees plus outside everyday we were in Rome, and having A/C in the room was wonderful. Food in the shared kitchen area available to all guests no extra charge including bread, pastries, yogurt and coffee for breakfast. Rooms were cleaned and towels replaced daily. Diana was very helpful in pointing us to the city's attractions, transportation, and dining options. Rome's red metro line has a station 3 blocks away and it stops at most tourist areas. It is not a "hotel" hotel, don't expect someone at the front desk at all times. It is more like staying at a friend's place who gave you the keys to their cool apartment. There is a cell phone available at the common area that you can use to call Diana when she's not around and she will gladly help you with anything you need (get you a taxi to the airport for example). "Great room, but..."
In looking at past positive reviews, we decided to try a hotel that was not part of a chain. The room was clean, modern, and close to everything. The only problem is the theater across the street, We are not sure if it is a nightly issue, but we were awoken (once at 1:30 a.m.) up two nights in a row to loud cheering and screams as the dancers exited […] the building. The positive thing of this hotel is that it's clean, only 10 min's walk from the colisée, and the host is quite nice. BUT the price is way to expensive for such a small ''hotel'' (it's not a real hotel). no tv, no bath tube, no breakfast, no wifi (that's really inconvenient when u travel...) and the hotel doesn't accept the card, u have to pay in cash […] which is not practical... A pleasant little hotel with a charming owner. Good location, with the Colosseum and the metro both within short walking distances. Plenty of shops and traditional eating places nearby (though I wouldn't recommend the one right next to the hotel). The room was decent - nothing special, but good value for money, and kept tidy throughout our stay. Diana […] was also helpful in every way possible, and provided basic breakfast as well, though if you're after something more filling, you'd probably have to rely on yourself, with the kitchen and fridge being available to use. The one big negative point was the absence of internet. We were told that this will be fixed very soon... that won't help us on this occasion, though if this issue is resolved, then we'd definitely consider booking again, should we be back in Rome. Rent och fräscht men enkel standard. Receptionen endast bemannad på morgonen, men då kan man få många tips och goda råd av Diana som var väldigt hjälpsam. Centralt beläget, nära Centralstation, Colosseum och tunnelbana. Vårt rum saknade strykjärn och strykbräda. Ganska lyhört och mycket ljud från gatan utanför vissa kvällar. Diana kallade "hotellet" […] för bed and breakfast (fast utan frukost) vilket passar bättre tycker jag. Man har högre förväntningar på något som kallas hotell. Rummet saknade TV men fri wi-fi finns. "Bon hôtel mais..."
C'est un bon hôtel, les chambres sont propres et spacieuses mais : Très bruyant le soir car une salle de spectacle se trouve de l'autre côté de la rue. Bien situé mais dans un quartier un peu trop éloigné du centre, des vrais endroit touristiques, sympathiques. Comme la ville est mal desservie en métro, il est toujours difficile de rentrer autrement […] qu'avec ses petites jambes, qui sont en général très fatiguée après une journée de marche. Pas grand chose pour diner dans le coin de sympa. En effet petite boulangerie à l'angle de la rue, les patisseries sont correctes mais pas dingues. "Bra leilighetskompleks med sentral beliggenhet!"
Vi hadde en fint opphold på Domus Diana. Bortsett fra at det er svært lytt i leilighetskomplekse(ta med ørepropper) er det rent og har fin beliggenhet med gangavstand til colloseum. Størrelsen på rommene er også veldig bra. Selv om det står frokost inkludert er det manglende utvalg og vi endte opp med å kjøpe selv hver dag. Siden det ikke er et hotell […] er det heller ingen room service eller døgnåpen resepsjon. Det er også gratis Wifi. Jeg kan anbefale dette hotellet til andre. Mycket trevligt litet hotell. Nära till Termini (centralstationen). Trevliga rum med fint badrum. Ett allrum med kyl och spisplattor, ingen kyl på rummet. Ingen bemannad reception, en man mötte upp oss när vi anlände och vi fick en knippe nycklar sen gick det två dagar innan vi stötte på nån igen så vi kunde göra upp med betalningen. "Bed & Breakfast 10 min gange fra Termini"
Domus Diana er et ytterst koselig lite gjestegiverig med en koselig Diana som eier. Hun er hjelpsom med hva som bør sees, gjøres etc i oppholdet. Rommet er stort, badet fint, og en meget effektiv aircondition :) . Domus Diana ligger 10 minutter fra togstasjon, egentlig ytterst lett å finne - således man leser kart. Absolutt å anbefale, og et kjempegreit […] valg for en 2-3 dagers som Roma er. Vi tok en 5 dagers her, for vi ville besøke Ostia (Badested med public strand 40 minutter unna med T-bane) og ha en ekstra shoppingdag. Diana stiller med brød, korn og melk -dere stiller med resten i et felles kjøleskap. Vi laget middag her den ene dagen - ettersom det er diverse utstyr å lage mat med. Kjøp gode lokale varer (Spesielt på Elite, som ligger i Via Cavour - 7 min fra hotel) og lag gode lunsjer og middager på motellet. Kos dere i Roma, og lykke til :) Vi reiste videre til Pisa, Viareggio, Lucca, Firenze og selvfølgelig Cinque Terre (5 byers tur). MehrAuthentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung
"Ottima posizione, camere bellissime!"
Soggiorno molto piacevole, la pensione è a pochi passi dal colosseo, raggiungibile in due minuti a piedi. Le camere sono davvero ben curate, pulite, moderne.. peccato per la mancanza della televisione! Il segnale wifi nella nostra camera non si prendeva alla perfezione a causa dei muri molto spessi - l'edificio è infatti del 1800 - ma abbiamo ovviato […] il problema spostandoci nel cucinino, sempre perfettamente servito con brioches, caffé, thé, pane ecc. Il responsabile che ci ha accolti è sempre stato estremamente gentile, come anche la sig.ra Diana. Prezzo davvero ottimo per l'elevata qualità del servizio offerto. "Dejlig ferie i Rom"
Vi har boet 4 dage på Domus Diana og er fuldt ud tilfredse. Beliggenheden er god 10 min gang fra Metroen, 20 min. fra Termini. Der er cafe og spisemuligheder 5 min fra hotellet. Rent og pænt og godt vedligeholdt. Fint fælles køkken, hvor man kan lægge lidt mad og drikkevarer i det fælles køleskab. Skal jeg sige noget negativt, var det den røde lampe […] i loftet som snurrede når airconditionen var tændt. Puh det var bordelagtigt. og så var der lidt larm fra operahuset i samme gade. Ikke sang, men Italienerne er højrøstede når de er sammen, og står længe og snakker før de går hjem. Men alt i alt en god oplevelse og vi bor der gerne igen. "Suosittelen Domus Dianaa!"
Suosittelen kaikille Domus Dianaa. Todella siistit huoneet, joka päivä vaihdettiin lakanat, pyyhkeet jne. Yhteis keittiö jossa pystyy tekemään aamupalan ja keittämään espressot. Diana oli aivan mahtava emäntä. Domus Diana ei ole varsinainen hotelli, koska Diana ei ole paikalla koko ajan, mutta hänet tavoittaa puhelimitse tarvittaessa! Sijainti hyvä, […] lähellä Kolosseumia (n.7 min kävely) ja pystyi kävelemään joka paikkaan ja metro pysäkit myös lähellä! Hinta-laatusuhde todellakin kohtaavat!!
