After shopping around online, I found the Hotel Mamiani prices to be reasonable for what you get, in a world class urban city like Rome. The negative... comments online, simply did not materialize. The staff were friendly and vey helpful. Breakfast was delivered to our room everyday, on time and was delicious. The recommended restaurant, our first night, was filled with locals and great food! The room was very clean, including a safe and a comfortable bed. The lighting (a bit dim, some bed side lamps would help) and bathroom (small for two people to access at same time & instruction on flushing the toilet would be helpful) took a bit of getting used to, but worked fine. The neighborhood, at first glance and upon arrival, after several hours of weary travel, seemed a bit dicey (mostly the graffiti & myriad of strange little shops, selling plastic junk from China) but we were never hassled, nor did we feel un-safe. In fact there is a police station just around the corner. The proximity to the central transportation hub, Termini Statione, was ideal. Would recommend & return ourselves, as soon as maybe possible.
