Blue Bells - London

...doch leider Fehlanzeige - Freundlichkeit ist in diesem Hotel ein Fremdwort. Kein "Willkommen im Blue Bells! Wie hat es Ihnen gefallen? Was haben Sie vor? Können wir behilflich sein?,....", rein gar nichts. Das Hotel ist zudem ziemlich heruntergekommen und hat unserer Ansicht nach die drei *** nie und nimmer verdient. Das Morgenessen war sehr bescheiden […] und das Personal unmotiviert und unfreundlich. Das einzig positive am Hotel ist die gute Lage mit einer U-Bahnstation ganz in der Nähe. Ach, und nicht zu vergessen: Wer gerne Action hat, kann sich alle 5 Minuten darüber freuen, dass die U-Bahn direkt unter dem Hotel donnert! Mehr

Das Hotel liegt wunderschön in Nottinghill, in der Nähe von 2 U-Bahn Stationen, aber das Personal ist unfreundlich und wahrscheinlich gibt es ganz schlechte Arbeitsbedingungen, denn der Rezeptionist liegt am Boden in der Nacht und schläft, Frühstück ist einfach aber okay, aber es gibt nur wenige Tische und das Personal war überfordert und man musste […] sehr lange warten. Wir wohnten im Souterain und es war ein furchtbar dreckiges Zimmer, Teppich und auch Vorhänge waren voll mit diversen Flecken, die Betten schienen sauber, Bad war schimmlig und eckelig und der Waschbeckenabfluss war undicht und wurde nicht gerichtet einfach unser HAndtuch untergelegt, und es gab kein Handtuchwechsel und auch nur pro Person ein Tuschtuch und nicht einmal ein Handtuch für das Gesicht oder die Hände Dieses Hotel ist von der Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit nicht weiter zu empfehlen und noch dazu kam , dass die U-Bahn direkt unter einem durchfuhr und das ganze Zimmer gewackelt hat - Zustände einfach unbeschreiblich, also man weiß, dass man nicht sparen darf und sich ruhig ein teures Hotel suchen muss!!!!!! Great location, nice hotel, but breakfast was poor. I would prefer to pay more for breakfast and get really continental breakfast. We got toasts (white/brown), butter, jam, cornflakes and musli; tea and coffee. So, no cheese, ham, eggs, yogurt etc. Next time I would go there anyway and take breakfast in restaurant outside.

I was worried about my reservation in the hotel as so many people were claiming about the noise of the underground so I was really surprised as I could hardly at all hear the trains passing. A very nice quiet cosy hotel in a nice neighbourhood with good connections to the city center!

The hotel was OK. Friendly staff, ok breakfast and desent room. You could hear the underground very much and also everything going on in the breakfast room as our room was next to reception, All in all good value for the money

After making my booking Feb, I noticed many of the unhappy travler comments to be the same as mine. First, the parking...yes there is street side parking but it is very expensive, There are several private schools surrounding the hotel and parking becomes a premium when parents come to pick up their children. Resident parking consumes majority of the […] streetside parking. I did find a car park about 2 blocks away and the daily rate was more than I pay at an international airport. Second....the Underground (subway) shook the building every 15 min....hard to sleep early in the morning. Third, the staff 's attitude is less than could be desired. Smile once in a while and act like you like the business coming your way. After being there.........I would stay somewhere else since hotels are everywhere. Fourth, we got a room for 5, ended up in the nose bleed on the 3rd floor with 2 rooms. Yes, I was only charged for 1 room, but the family was separated. They had rooms that could have held us, but chose not too since we had 2 kids with us. The room we got was in poor condition. No screens or protective screens on the windows, especially since the windows needed to be open for air. Pigeons flew in our room and decided to make it their bathroom all over the carpet. Window fixtures were all rotted out and the furniture was stained and in need of replacement. Pictutes were missing off the walls, coffee maker carafe was missing, rooms needed painting, it had a patch work look to the walls. Fifth, At the rate I paid you would think you would get shampoo, hand towels, not at this place. A little bar of soap and a bath towel. The showers would clog up and the glass did not contain the spray from the shower. the bathroom was like a lake when we finished. The outlet in the bathroom did not work either Sixth, Walls are very thin and you can hear everything going on in all of the room surrounding rooms. It is listed as a 3 star hotel. As a one-star hotel it would be decent but comes nowhere near to three stars.

Accueil par le staff laissant à désirer. Confort spartiate. L' hotel est au-dessus d'une voie de métro donc un peu bruyant selon l'étage (attention il y a aussi des chambres en sous-sol donc la c'est franchement désagréable). Årsagen til den noget ringe bedømmelse er at vi blev puttet ned i kælderen i en værelse som ikke var klargjort, helt rengjort og med flere fejl. Vi fik til gengæld en god betjening af personalet og beliggenheden er helt OK. Og en væsentlig reduktion i prisen på grund af ovennævnte gør at vurderingen samlet set er OK. Det eneste gode man kan sige om dette hotel er at det har en god beliggenhed.

We think that the quality of the hotel corresponds well with the price we paid. Good idea with family rooms. A smile from the hotel staff and more water pressure in the toilets would be nice.

Vi var to familer som reiste i lag. Rommet vårt var meget slitt. Det var mykje støy frå undergrunn. Det går to baner under huset både en grunn og en djup. Når den grunne banen kom rista det litt i hotellet. Vi var der i 4 dager, der 3 av dei var uten varmt vatten. Siste dagen fekk vi og besøk av ei mus på rommet. Betjeningen så ikkje ut til å bry seg […] nevneverdig om det. Til frokost får ein servert toast med engangpakker med smør, jorbærsylte og marmelade. Det var og sett fram cornflakes. Mehr

Helt ok hotell för för detta pris i det fina Notting Hill området. Dock hörde man tunnelbanan som gick precis under byggnaden.

The hotel was dirty and placed just above the underground, meaning the room was shaking every 3 minutes. I cannot recommend this to anyone.

The hotel itself does not look so bad. When you enter it looks like a small and cozy hotel, but don't be fooled. The staff seem sour and indifferent, no smiles to be seen from either the breakfast attendant or the man in the reception. We had booked a double room, we got a room with 4 beds instead and it was situated in the basement. The room was […] clean and the bathroom was decent though a bit worn. What was the real problem was the fact that the hotel was situated right above the underground and you could hear and feel the trains passing below you, making it very difficult to sleep. In addition the walls are paper thin so you can hear noise from the neighboring house and the other floors. We got up at two o'clock in the night because we could not sleep and went to the reception area to complain, we were met with a dark office and a locked door and a note that stated one should knock for assistance, but there didn't seem to be anyone there. Even though they advertise a 24 hour reception. When we complained the following morning the receptionist was very ungraceful and started arguing with us, we ended up getting a small discount, but we still left with a sour taste in our mouths. my conclusion is that you should stay away from this hotel. It is not worth the money and it is not a friendly hotel. You can do much better for the same price at other hotels. Mehr

Hotellet er ikke til 3 stjerner. Beliggenheden er god, men undergrunden kører under hotellet og giver rystelser hvert 3-4 minut. Nogle af værelserne er meget slidte og hotellet burde rates som lowbudget eller lignende. Vi kan ikke anbefale dette, når man tænker på hvor mange gode steder til samme pris der er i området.
