If you take this hotel as a 2-star hotel, it is pretty good! It fulfilled our expectations!

The San Salvador is made special by its friendly staff. The hotel itself is small, but it is very convenient, perhaps 100 paces from the Rialto Bridge. It is, however, a little difficult to find even after you see the sign on the wall near the piaza, tucked away in a small alley and with only a small sign beside the door. The rooms were small, as is […] often the case in Europe, but perfectly fine. The (single) bed was comfortable and the bathroom was modern, clean and excellent. From the hotel one can walk almost anywhere in Venice in half an hour as it is mid way between the train and bus stations and St. Marks Square. As it is close to the Rialto it is close to excellent restaurants on the Grand Canal, and ferries if you decide not to walk. Mehr

A small hotel, very basic. Stuff very friendly and helpful, good location, very central, close to Realto and san marco basilica. Overall very good for your money.

It's a nice hotel right in the heart of Venice. Rooms are clean and they provide almost all you need. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast though. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and the price is fair.

This hotel is so well situated for touring venice, its close to the main attractions and boasts a very safe and funky location. The staff are so helpful and extremely friendly. It definitely comes recommended.

Although its very simple hotel like other hotels in venezia, but has many features: 1- Excellent location. 5 min. to Sna Marco Sequar, 2 min to Rialto Boat Station. 2- Nice staff. 3- Afforadable price. I was in my hony moon and I spent three wonderful nights.

Great location, less than1 min. from rialto bridge and a slow 6 min. walk from san marco sq. Clean, spacious room and staff was extremely helpfull, great people.

The location of the hotel was very convenient to a water taxi stop, as well as near lots of shops and sites to see. It was very clean on the inside and secure, which was nice. The best part of the hotel was the fantastic service that the woman at the front desk offered. She was super nice, friendly and pointed out sites on a map we could take, wrote […] down directions, etc. She also offered to let us keep our bags there, AFTER we checked out so we could wander around the city on the day we checked out and not have to carry our luggage around. I had a great stay at Hotel San Salvador. Stefano was there to greet me and she was extremely nice and helpful. The place is secure as you have to be "buzzed in". It was a little difficult to find but the hotel does give good directions. Really close to Rialto bridge where there is the water bus stop. I was there a Saturday and Sunday night and could […] hear a lot of noise from a nearby bar/pub on Saturday night, but not as much on Sunday. Despite that there was the noise, I still recommend this. My room was small but comfortable. It had a mini fridge in it, which was nice. Reasonable price for Venice--not cheapest but not "top of the line". Mehr

Det var ok, men for gangbesværede, eller for gæster i mindre god fysisk form er det ikke ideelt. Men hotellet er så centralt placeret som man kunne drømme om. Prisen - som alting i turistede områder og specielt i Italien - høj!

Ездили с ребенком (12 лет) на 4 дня. Очень удобно расположен - в асмом центре, отдельные слова благодарности хозяев отеля - приятные, добрые люди. Расставались и даже плакали, всегда готовы помочь, поговорят, подскажут или порекомендуют. Семейная обстановка. От отеля 3 минуты до причала и через час уже в аэропорту, удобно и быстро. Главное, вышел из […] отеля и ты рядом со всеми главными достопримечательностями и магазинами. Огромное спасибо хозяевам отеля!!! Будем рекомендовать друзьям. Недорогой интернет wi-fi, внизу ресторан с лучшими винами и огромный выбор рыбы! Mehr

Excellent accueil et grande gentillesse de la part des membres assurant la gestion de cet hôtel.

Cet hôtel est trés bien situé à 100 mètres du Rialto, il est en plein centre. Il est entretenu par deux soeurs qui sont très serviables, qui vous donnent beaucoup de conseils pratiques, toujours souriantes, elles parlent français, ( ce qui est très pratique). La chambre est très confontable et joliment décorée et l'hôtel trés calme. Un pur bonheur! […] !! Mehr

Un très bon hôtel par rapport aux hôtels de même catégorie, les filles à la réception sont très sympas, elle n'hésitent pas à donner des conseils et des orientations. La situation de l'hôtel juste à côté du pont Rialto est un atout. Il est à 15min à marche à peu près de la place Saint Marc.

This hotel is very small, but extremely central with only a one minute walk to Rialto. The staff was kind and helpful and our room was perfectly cleaned and tidied every day. Like every building i entered in Venice, some rooms were constantly damp and smelled moldy but the air conditioning worked well.

Meget hjælpsomt personale med gode engelskkundskaber. Komfortabelt, men lille værelse.

Pas terrible pour le prix, pas de petit déjeuner, serviettes ressemblant à des draps, meubles tâchés, vraiment pas le top, dommage il est plutôt bien placé

A small and very nice hotel. Excellent location - close to Rialto bridge and not more than 10mins walk to St Marco. The girls who runs the hotel where very nice and helpful. They helped us to find good places to eat, timetables for the buses when going home etc., and always very friendly and polite. The hotel was a little bit hard to find, since it […] was in a narrow alley. But with a good map it should'nt be any problem. The room was very clean at all times, and the bed was very good! We had some problem with the air-condition, but since we were there in mid May it was not a problem for us. We are very pleased with our stay here. Mehr

Miellyttävä pieni hotelli keskeisellä paikalla Venetsiaa vajaan parin sadan metrin päässä Rialto-sillalta ja lähimmältä vaporetto-pysäkiltä. Erittäin ystävällinen palvelu respassa. Huone tosi pieni, mutta hyvin siisti ja viihtyisä. Huoneessa oli aivan uudennäköinen kaakelilattia. Huoneessa oli minijääkaappi ja vanhannäköinen fööni (vai oliko se sittenkin […] imuri? siitä en ole varma, joten oma fööni kannattaa ottaa mukaan). Hotelli sijaitsee toisessa kerroksessa ja sinne on hyvin kapeat portaat, joten en suosittele liikuntarajoitteisille. Hotelli löytyy helposti kun kävelee suoraan Rialto-sillalta alas pienelle ja kapealle toriaukealle. San Salvador-hotelli on opastettu siltä aukealta. Ja jos ei ole, siihen löytää kun kävelee yhdestä aukean kapeasta väliköstä (siitä, missä on puhelinautomaatit). Hotellin ovi on oikealla n. 10 metrin päässä aukealta. Suosittelen tätä hotellia. Itse olen yksin matkustava nainen ja minulle tämä hotelli sopi mainiosti. Myös suhteellisen edullinen. 2 tähden hotelliksi erittäin hyvätasoinen. Aamupalaa ei ole tarjolla, mutta selvisin mainiosti, kun lähellä olevista kioskeista pystyi ostamaan valmiita voileipiä. Mehr
