Hilton Garden Inn New York/West 35th Street - New York

The room was way too expensive for the quality and size of the room. I also thought the breakfast should be included for this price.

Hilton Garden Inn in New York was wonderful! Lov ed the location and close walking distance to shops, subway, etc. Beds were very comfortable and room was immaculate. I already recommended it to the nurse in my doctor's office and she is going to book for June. We enjoyed the cookies and lemonade every afternoon in the lobby. Fifth time to the city First stay at this Hilton we will return. I thought the staff wrote all reviews that I had read. The staff is as friendly and helpful as the reviews state and the Hotel is very clean and very quite (For NYC) Great stay thank you

Hotel met our needs, was in a convenient location, friendly, informed staff, comfortable rooms, good breakfast. The only drawback was construction across the street, which which was loud and began very early in the morning.

Only there for one night stay after an event at Madison Square Garden. I still consider the price to be outrageously high, but it's competitive with the surrounding hotels. Location and quality that met my expectations (slightly better than average) are the main reasons I'd recommend this hotel.

I had to wait for my room to be ready but with Macy's down the block, it was no big deal. They checked my bag and away I went. Clean, with a great shower.

Spent the weekend here with my teenage daughter. Clean, free wifi, comfortable king-size bed. Even had a microwave and minifridge. Great central location. Near Koreatown. Very quiet in the room. Great for sleeping.

It wasn't memorable, but it was clean, inexpensive, and fine to stay in for a few nights.

The hotel is small but nice. I booked a double bed room but when we got there to check in, they apparently were "out" of double bed rooms. So all 3 of us had to share one bed and one very small room. Although they did offer to taxi us over to another location and free breakfast. Overall it was an okay stay. Staff was very friendly. It was only an overnight […] stay. I would prob stay here again. We loved this hotel and will stay here the next time we are in NYC. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was great, especially the concierge. Within walking distance to Times Square, Empire State Building, Bryant Park, Grand Central. There are several subway stations nearby, so you can get just about anywhere with ease.

Exceeded all expectations. The staff, the cleanliness were above reproach; great location and right by the subway which we used like crazy. Upon check in, the evening manager gave us a room with a magnificent view of the Empire State Building. We'll be back!

Love, love, loved this hotel! Will definitely stay there again!!

I enjoyed my visit to NY and the hotel was great as well. It is centrally located which made it easy to catch a cab or subway to your desired location. Beds had adjustable firmness, pillows were plentiful and a good thickness. Sheets felt good. And that is just he bed. This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Mid-Town Manhattan. It didn't cost me anymore to book than a dump like "the Hotel Pennsylvania" by Penn station, and was a million times nicer. Friendly staff, free fast wifi, coffee […] machine, ironing board and iron all in the room, and the room size was big by New York hotel standards. I can't recommend this enough. Our girls weekend in NYC surpassed what I expected! Customer Service was indeed key to our stress free getaway. Johnathon at the front desk was an absolute help from start to finish. Checking in early was a breeze and were able to hold luggage since we arrived early. Tom with concierge was a great help as well when booking a tour and guiding us the […] right way. Very friendly staff all around. Location was better than I imagine also. W 35th is so centrally located, you can pretty much walk out the front door and you're already there! Rooms were comfortable and clean. Very quiet also and enjoy that the window did partially open to hear the city. When returning to NYC, I will most likely choose the HGI again. Can't wait! Mehr

I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and polite. We asked for a later check out time due to our flight being in the evening and it was no problem and there was no charge. The room was very clean and the bathroom was very nice. I used to live in NYC and came back on a vacation with my friends so I know Manhattan like the back of my hand. The Hilton Garden Inn is in a perfect location, literally walking distance to everything, and it is a very clean hotel! The room was perfect and so was the hotel in general. Definitely stay here and you will not be disappointed!

With great rates, this Hilton Garden Inn is perfectly-located. We had the smallest room on the floor, but it was a very comfortable bed and the staff very helpful.

yea the room is a little small but I still had plenty of space for my huge luggage without feeling like I was trapped. subway station right on the corner of the street. had a great stay

Everything was better than expected and at a wonderful rate. The front desk staff was exceptional! By the way, I am not easily impressed, but I thought the front desk staff was better and friendlier than almost any hotel I have used.

Good points: - The hotel is located in Korean Town/Garment District and adjacent to 34th Street Station, Macy's and Empire State Building. Good walking distance to many attractions. Close to Broadway and Grand Central, Penn Station. - The room was compact and clean. Well maintained. - Good privacy. Conenient room facilities, e.g. microwaves, refrigerator) […] and good hotel facilities, e.g. business center, 24h gym. Negative points: - Small room. Did not have enough space to open two suitcases. - Too close to busy areas and too much noise on the street at night (Police, firefighter, taxi, youngsters, etc). Construction site was very close to the hotel and causing traffic jam on the street. - Long waiting lines at front desk. - Old and slow elevators. There were three spacious elevators but one of them went out of order while I was staying. Probably not enough capacity to serve a big hotel of the 33 stories. Corridors are narrow and simple. (I suspect the hotel building used to be an office building in the past.) - Probably not very good security. One time I saw three youngsters (probably not everyone was the hotel guest) rushing to a room next to my room. The other time I heard a dog barking in the room. - The people staying close to my room was making some noise (like cell phone) very frequently all day and it was annoying sometimes. I suspect that hotel employees were staying in the rooms around my room. - Convenient location but not very nice/clean area. Always crowded with vendors and tourists. This area is not like Murray Hill. Very different from the other side of Midtown. Mehr

I am so happy with my stayed on that hotel...very closed to all attractions ...just steps to importants places in NY like TIMES SQUARE...EMPIRE STATE BUILDING ..ROCKEFELLER CENTER...ETC....the employees are very kind and polite ..the beds and pillows so confortable and the bathroom very clean....one of my best staying in NY...I recommend to everyone […] planning go to NY... Great location, far enough from the crowds of Times square but close enough to still feel part of the action. I stayed in a king room with a friend and although the room was small, as most are in NY, we managed well. Our flight arrived very early and the staff was able to get us to our room a bit earlier than check-in which was really nice. Plus they […] kept our bags for us while we waited, also a plus. They offer tea and coffee in the morning but wished they would keep it out all day, especially in the winter. I tried to get tea once but there was no hot water. My only annoyance were the elevators, they are incredibly slow in the mornings (8-10pm) when everyone seems to be rushing about, but they are slow in general. There are 3 but I think they are not coordinated well with the floors, may they should only assign 10 floors to each. The room was very clean, fresh towels were always available and NO BEDBUGS (we made sure to thoroughly check). Furniture was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Thomas, the concierge , was also very helpful and nice! This hotel is a little gem in the midtown west area and the pricing was just right! I would stay again in a heartbeat. Great job Hilton! Mehr

Great choice for our first visit to New York. The hotel is ideally placed for you to access the sights of the City. Our room on the 27th floor was extremely clean and comfortable. The view was outstanding. The Concierge was extremely helpful and we dined out on most nights with his recommendations which were very good indeed. A great time was had by […] all. Mehr

Wonderful location especially if you take the train to NYC- easy walk to and from. Very easy to walk up to Broadway and see the shows and the subway system. Rather a noise hotel- not by people, but just the sounds the hotel make- ie pipes that sound like a chair being drug across the floor above you- rather annoying throughout the night.

Very close to subway. Friendly and great room.

This hotel was close enough to time square to be able to walk to, but far enough away that the lights and noise did not keep you awake at night. We were right by the subway and the world's largest Macy's. The room was very clean. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. Obviously we could have been closer to time square, but that would come with […] noise and lights all night. Madison Square Garden was only 3 blocks away. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows could have been better. That is really the only thing I can say that is not positive about this place. I would recommend this place to everyone, and plan on staying here the next time I go back to the big apple. Mehr

Our stay here at this hotel was very good. The room was a good size, with a clean standing glass shower only, small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and everything was in good repair. It was in the middle of pretty much everything by subway and Penn Station was within walking distance. They provide you with Neutrogena brand bath products - shampoo, […] conditioner, bath soap, mouthwash, vanity kit that includes qtips, and shower cap. The towels were good. Towards the end of the trip our electronic door lock battery died and we were locked out until the "engineer" could unlock and replace the battery. They sent us to the hotel bar for a free drink which was nice. The front desk was helpful and polite. The only downside is that the elevators are slow and lots of people. When we were checking out we waited and had to pass up 3 elevators because there was no room. Lucky we were on the 4th floor and could easily take the stairs. Good hotel, would recommend. Mehr

Hotel rooms very small, the sheets on the bed had to be 50 thread. The sheets would not stay on the bed. With that being said, modern hotel and decor is excellent . Staff was great and accommodating. The breakfast was far above any free breakfast, so many things to choose from. Several Cooks waiting too cook to order. Some foods of course buffet style. […] Wait staff atenitive to all. Make your own waffles. Plenty of fruit and large selection of fruit juices, whole grains,egg whites, turkey sausage, something for every diet.Over all wonderful place to stay, and yes I'll stay again.
