Did an overnight with other couple to celebrate birthdays. Good hotel lovely staff great for get-to-gether. Rooms were comfortable, clean and well decorated, only point bathroom light comes on when you enter and stays on when you leave, ours went out when in the shower, (very minor complaint). I was very impressed by the standard of this hotel considering the price. Its a great central location as a business stop over the food, accomodation and the service was very good will be using this hotel again. G B Newcastle

I booked a room at Adamo as I was going to a function there that night. When I arrived a received a friendly welcome and was shown to my room. When I saw the room it was a little small and extremely warm. It was explained to me that this was the last room as they had a large wedding in town and would try to resolve the heat issue. The duty manager […] was extremely helpful and kept me informed of their progress. Alas they could not solve the issues with the room due to circumstances beyond their control but I would definately go back as the service was first class. The price of my room was refunded and I received a personal call from the Hotel Manager after returning from my trip to confirm that my room charge would be refunded. Overall a very good experience for me as the issues were dealt with in the right manner and I left completely satisfied. Most definately will return again. Mehr

Great modrn hotel, but unfortunately my shower was cold! despite informing the Management the could not mend until the following day! I was offered an alternerative room up the road! but did not want to pack up... great breakfast and location.

We had a double room in the hotel and were very impressed. The hotel has obviously had a lot of money spent on it and it shows! Spa bath, lovely bathroom and nice bedroom, huge bed and all the home comforts. Very impressed and would definitely stay again, excellent value for money and a lovely part of the country.

The Adamo was superb. We were given a suite room, which was absolutely fantastic. The neighbourhood was quiet, and it's only a few minutes walk from the train station. After reading other reviews, we went to the restaurant down stairs for dinner; some of the best food I've had in a long time - and for a stupidly cheap price! (seriously, how does this […] place make their money?!) We were even given our deserts free because of a lack of biscotti biscuit! Very nice of them. Compliments to the chef, because it was beautiful. The room its self was huge, and we enjoyed the enormous wide screen television and the bathroom was enormous too. There was a walk-in wardrobe, and plenty of freebie soaps and drinks. Even some bathrobes (not experienced that luxury before!). We think the bath was supposed to have some sort of 'spa facility' but it wasn't working, which was a shame. The breakfast was fantastic as well. One or two negatives; the bath being one, some of the staff appeared a bit grumpy (but then again, who doesn't have a grumpy day at work every now and again - and so many other staff members were so cheerful and friendly, it made up for it) and there was a problem with pay. Hotels.com had charged us, then Adamo charged as well! However, upon contacting Adamo they couldn't have been more apologetic or helpful, thank you very much Adamo. Although I'm from Birmingham, I think I'd happily spend another 10hours getting there just to visit again! Fantastic value for money!! Mehr

I am rubbish at this sort of thing but... hotel was more than above adequate BUT the food...... I have been to some incredible hotels in the last year including the New York Palace but the food here was better, truly! It was a joy to behold and even better to eat!

When we arrived the staff couldn't have been more helpful.our room wasn't particularly big but it is a boutique hotel and rooms tend to be smaller but with better facilities.The hotel is advertised as having satellite t.v and spa baths, but unfortunately out t.v did not seem to have these channels and the spa part of the bath wasn't working. When I […] mentioned this to the manager she said she knew. No apology or explanation. One thing i couldn't fault was evening dinner,it was delicious. Breakfast was adequate, but not special, and expect to wait particularly if you wanted anything cooked.I'm not sure I would stay here again as the cost is not really reflected in the facilities. Had 3 rooms each was modern and stylish. Staff could not do enough to accomodate our requirements. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh cooked, fresh ingredients.

Comfortable one night stay on a tour of Scotland, boutique style breakfast good, good value. Only a small place we wandered around for an evening meal and off the main street followed a sign up a hill to an Italian restaurant near the leisure centre and bowling green to a wonderful find, meal supberb a hidden gem to be recommended if you stay there! […] (sorry cant remember the name!) Far from being the peaceful weekend, our room (No 5) had a window opening onto the back yard. The incessant noise from the kitchen fan continued all night, off and on. Due to the lovely weather you couldn't imagine sleeping with the window closed so you had no choice but to put up with the noise. This was only surpassed by the late night (or should […] I say early morning) revelry of the Club Eva patrons leaving noisily after 3.30am. We raised this at reception and received a half-hearted "sorry". Not a great result. We'll not be back. Mehr

L'hôtel est assez moderne, la chambre est spacieuse et très propre, le lit est confortable . il y a un frigo doté d'un minibar (prix pas très incitatifs à la consommation), une bouilloire avec thé-café-chocolat, Wi-fi gratuit (très pratique) et le petit déjeuner est tout à fait correct. Il y a en plus un petit parking réservé au clients de l'hôtel (très […] pratique aussi). En revanche, le soir il y a pas mal de monde au bar de l'hôtel ce qui peut rendre l'accueil et la réception de l'hôtel un peu bruyants mais ça n'est pas du tout gênant au niveau les chambres Mehr
