The Court Yard Hotel - Leixlip

Sehr schönes Hotel in sehr guter Lage.. 10 min. von Dublin entfernt.. TOP !! Gutes Frühstück und sehr schöne Zimmer !!!

Das Courtyard Hotel liegt ca. 20 km von Dublin entfernt, ruhig gelegen an der Liffey (Fluss, der auch durch Dublin fließt) an der ursprünglichen Stätte der ersten Guiness Brauerei. Es ist modern und im Countrystyle-Stil eingerichtet. Im Innenhof gibt es eine große Leinwand, wo Sportevents übertragen werden, genauso wie einen überdachten und offenen […] Lokalbereich, manchmal auch Live-Musik-Abende, die Bar und das Restaurant waren ebenfalls gut besucht, wir waren aber trotzdem lärmmäßig überhaupt nicht gestört. Frühstücksbuffet war reichlich (Toast, Scones, Müsli, Obst, Croissants, Mehlspeisen, 5 Säfte, Wurst, Käse) und bei uns inkludiert, man konnte zusätzlich noch Full Irish ordern (Speck, Bohnen, Schinken, Eierspeise). Mit der Buslinie 66 kann man wenige Meter neben dem Hotel für 2,30 Euro nach Dublin City fahren - sehr bequem - geht aber nur ca. alle 30 Minuten. Vor dem Hotel ist ein Gratisparkplatz für die Gäste (wird abends durch Schranken abgesperrt). Keine 5 Gehminuten vom Hotel ist ein kleiner Spar-Supermarkt, es gibt ein indisches Restaurant die Straße runter und auch Take-Aways, wobei das Hotelrestaurant auch eine recht umfangreiche Karte anbietet zu den gewohnten irischen Preisen. Alles in allem ein supernetter Aufenthalt, wir kommen gerne wieder. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis hat super gepasst. Mehr

We had a very nice stay here, friendly staff and reasonable prices. If you are looking for a quiet satellite outside Dublin Leixlip is the right place. The hotel has bars which are crowded during the weekend sports events. You can have live music as well. Good choice, but do not expect silence on a Saturday at 10 p.m.

Stayed here at short notice. staff were very friendly from check in right to check out. Hotel is very pleasant, located in the centre of Leixlip. It has a lively atmosphere and would be suitable for parties and people looking flour a quiet break

Exceeded all our expectations. Friendly and extremely helpful staff on reception - nothing was too much trouble for them. Very clean, comfortable rooms. We will certainly be returning in the future.

I found the Court Yard to be a lovely hotel. A friendly reception and lively bar. Tidy spacious room. Nice views and walks. The breakfast was ok, I've had better. Car park was full. I would stay here again with the family or without.

As this was the last stay on our tour of ireland we decided to try & make it abit more special, Mentoined this to receptionist & she informed us that the best room in hotel was free.. We negotiated a very reasonable price & although we had arrived muh earlier than check-in time we invited to have a complimentery drink whilst the room was made ready.Within […] a short time the room was ready & well worth waiting for..As our flight home was late afternoon & the room was not booked that night we were allowed to stay in room much later than usual.Throughout our stay, even thiough it was only 1 night , all the staff could not have been more friendly & helpful making it a lovely end to our holiday. After our first night here - we decided to stay for two more nights. We enjoyed the food it was really good. The best part of our stay was the staff! Our first night there Christina was so helpful - she printed out maps for us. Caroline was very dependable - she arranged for our clothes to be sent to the dry cleaners for a wedding and made she it was […] in our room when we requested for a second night. Owen was thoughful - he left a toy sheep outside our room for my little girl so she wouldn't forget Ireland. He also booked us for our third night stay at the last moment. Another staff member sent us off with a lite breakfast for our early morning flight. The staff made our first trip to Ireland a great start to our long vacation. Because of our stay there my Ireland family had dinner the week after we left and enjoyed themselves as well. When we go back to Ireland we plan to stay here again! Mehr

What a wonderful place to stay if you are visiting Ireland. The staff was friendly, helpful, and provided some interesting insights about the neighborhood. I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Ireland.

We had a lovely time. It is hidden away from the street and backs to a lovely park-like setting. The restaurants were absolutely great. The service and the attitude of the employess was exemplary. We stayed here for 5 nights (tues-sat). We relied on the Dublin bus service during our stay which stopped very near the hotel. Service and accomodation were both of a high standard, in particular Owen at reception and restaurant staff. Would recommend as a place to stay but would add that the courtyard bar area was very busy on the weekend and this […] resulted in some noisy people that did disturb us in the early hours on a couple of occasions. Only stopped for one night after ferry crossing from UK, but all in all, excellent for our purposes. Location very nice. Car park was full on arrival due to a function being held there but a member of staff moved his vehicle so that we could park. Reception very friendly and helpful. Ate in the lively bar as opposed to the restaurant; food good. Rooms […] comfortable and couldn't hear the live band that was playing that night, so was able to sleep soundly for onward journey the next morning. Breakfast excellent. Mehr

Hotel perfect location, Staff very friendly, Bar food good value, Everything perfect except, pillows very hard and sheets over starched, had to wear socks to bed, but overall, i'd go back!

Only stayed for two nights but would certainly use this hotel if visiting this area again all staff we had dealings with were very helpful enjoyed the courtyard seating area for a nice pint of guiness.

I was pleasently surprised by the high standerd and would have no problem recomending this Hotel to anyone.

Nice place. We were just stopping over for the night having come over on the Holyhead - Dublin ferry that day then heading off to the west coast to stay in a holiday cottage the following morning. Ideal location as close enough to Dublin that we didn't have far to go after the ferry but also had parking and close to the motorway for carrying on the […] trip. We drove straight through Dublin to avoid the two toll roads you'd otherwise have to use to get there. Only got held up a bit and not surprising really for Friday evening traffic. Warm welcome on arrival and we were offered the option of dining in the hotel restaurant including an "early bird" menu as well as the food in the bar. As we had our three month old boy with us we chose the latter though the fine dining experience looked good on paper. The bar was good, seemed to be the hub of all things for the town as plenty of locals in as well as hotel guests. Shame it wasn't a bit warmer as we only sat outside for our first drink before moving inside to eat. Food was good. They had live music on later but we were tired and decided to call it a night before things got properly under way. Could just about hear it in our room which was towards the back of the hotel but it did not disturb us. Would stay again and recommend. Mehr

This is hotel provieds service above and beyond the norm. The front desk service is top quality.

My husband and I stayed for one night on 23/07/11 and the customer service was excellent, we felt welcome from the moment we checked in at reception, the room was perfect and the breakfast was excellent the next morning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly and there was a great all round atmosphere in the hotel that evening!

We stayed recently for one night. The room was lovely, clean and quite. The hotel staff were extremely nice and in particular at reception. We enjoyed a drink in the courtyard which is a lovely spot in the sunshine wirh great atmosphere

Excellent hotel with friendly staff and very good value for money on food and in the bar. I found the staff friendly and helpful and the service excellent.

This is the second time we have stayed in the last three months, and yet again you could not fault it. We stayed for four nights this time as we were attending a family christening locally, the restaurant was very good, as were the bars. Only one slightly negative observation, that certain rooms can be noisy if there is live music, this did not affect […] us too much as we had a river view room. The staff are very helpful and extremely friendly. We will make this our base again on our next visit to Ireland. Mehr

The hotel reception staff are really efficient and friendly. Finding secure storage for our bicycles was no problem. They also tipped us off about a bargain dinner offer that evening in the hotel. The dinner was excellent value for money and well presented, however the welcome for dinner and the service itself could have been sharper, but overall this […] didn't diminish from our enjoyment. The rooms are good and the surrounding gardens are a delight. We saw a heron on the river in the early morning. We'd recommend this hotel as offering good value and a great welcome. Mehr

My husband and I stayed one night while attending a family function close to the hotel. I found the staff at reception and room staff to be friendly and do their job well.. The cafe staff were a bit all over the place on Saturday morning and this resulted in slow service of our bar food. One male waiter was a little O.T.T. While saying that our food […] was fine a little on the expensive side and a little over use of the famous mixed salad which seems to get left behind on most plates. I would stay at the Courtyard and the grounds and outside yard are kept very well. With Hotels .com i got good value for money too. Mehr

the staff at the courtyard hotel were second to none full of local knowledge very friendly nothing was too much trouble very polite it was a pleasure to see this kind of service at the forefront of hospitality, many thanks to all that work for this hotel especially owen on reception for all he did to make our stay enjoyable we will definitely be back […] soon. ideal for getting out and about close to all routes by car bus or rail 15 mins in to dublin not bad thank you all once again Mehr

The hotel came up to our expectations, we stayed for 4 nights in March and had a lovely experience. Owen on reception must be congratulated, he couldn't be more helpful. The staff were very friendly and there was a lot going on in the hotel in the evenings, we didn't dine in but used the excellent bar. A lovely setting on the bank of the Liffey, […] and very convenient for Dublin all the local attractions. We were visiting our son and daughter in law, but most especially a new grand-daughter, so it was a special trip as well. I would definitely stay at The Courtyard again on our next visit. Mehr

on check in a party of people checked in we asked the lady at the desk what part was on because there rooms where next to ours. we where told a 40th birthday party there was only a few staying. that was all fine until 130am and these people came in the noise and banging of doors for most of the night up until 445am in the morning . we told the lady […] in the morning what happened and all we got was sorry but we had asked the question on check in about the rooms . This weekend is only 1 or 2 weekend we get to go a away together for a night if isnt often we can get a baby sitter for twins. Hotel lovely but weekend wasnt great because of the noise the night before a lomg spin back to cork when we didnt have sleep.we know this would be a once off. regards ursula Mehr

VERY HAPPY WITH THE HOTEL AND ROOM SERVICES EXCEPT CANNOT GET IN THE HOTEL AFTER A NIGHT OUT AS ALL ENTRANCE DOORS ARE LOCKED AFTER 12 MN AND CAN' T FIND STAFF AT RECEPTION AREA.

I have already recommended this hotel to family members who will be attending a wedding in Leixlip in 2012. My wife and I were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was ideal as were the hotel facilities.

I was there on business and the location for this purpose was great the staff was very helpful with all needs. Highly reccomend the bangers and mash in the PUB. Hopefully on my next trip I have more time to see the village and it is not all work.

The room was very clean, spacious and furnished to a high standard. Bedroom view overlooked the lovely gardens and river which are lit up in the evening. The staff were charming and extremely helpful. Food was very good and there were bands on every night. The music provided a warm and pleasant dose of Irish culture and spirit. The room was sufficiently […] separate from the bar area to ensure a deep and pleasant sleep. We stayed there because we have family in the area but there are several local places to visit and Dublin is easily reached within the hour. Mehr
