This is a decent hotel. It is clean and the service is good and the breakfast/dinner food is fresh and not bad at all (for what it is). but you shoud bear in mond the following: 1. It is not really a two room suite as advertised. Some rooms have an "alcove" and some do not. The rooms have a single window unit for HVAC which blows directly on the bed […] when you are sleeping 2. The internet connectin is so slow that it is more or less useless ofr busienss purposes. 3. Parking is valet only there is no other place to park that does not require a significant walk. Mehr

Clean spacious room. TV was not working when I checked in and it was fixed within 10 mins after reporting it. Great location to food and shopping. Free parking in garage behind the hotel. I can't wait to return.

The hotel was extremely accommodating. When we first were assigned a room it was too small for our family and they moved us to a larger room without any problems. They have free breakfast and a free evening snack, which is more like a meal, free internet, and a pool. The hotel was clean and the staff was very professional. We stayed in this hotel for a soccer tournament. The price was great for the value! The room was clean and had all the accomodations that we needed. We did have a few discomforts with the heat and the shower head was in poor condition. But the location was good. We were able to shop and ice skate with in walking distance.

The hotel is good, nice, quite, safe with very very friendly and cooperative staff. The only thing it need is more hygiene! Rooms should be cleaner, bed sheets should be without the black spots! And the resturants plates and set should be with out remaining spots, food or water!!! only more hygiene and it will be perfect...

Hotel is average but there a a few thugs hanging out in the lobby at night.

This hotel has a complimentary breakfast and dinner on weekdays and the food is amazingly good at both meals. I often skip hotels free breakfasts but this Homewood Suites had well-prepared meals and free beer and wine at dinners.

Our stay at the Homewood Suites was fine. There were only a few things that I feel could be improved upon. The cleaning crew did not vacuum for days and days - until I asked them to. Some days, they would ask me and If I thought it was fine without it, I would say so, but most days they did not ask me and just did not vacuum. After about a week, i asked […] them to vacuum. Also, I often had to ask them to leave coffee or sugar. It's very nice that four days a week, you can get a light dinner at the hotel - at no extra charge, but the quaility of the food was not good, for the most part. The same with the breakfast that was included in the price - it seems the scrambled eggs were probably those powered eggs - they were awful. Also, you can't get wireless internet in the room. You have to use the cable on the desk. That was a bit of a problem for us because my husband and I both had our laptops with us, but only one could be hooked up. The suites were nice, but they advertise a full kitchen and really there is no oven, so it's not a complete kitchen. There is a microwave, refrigerator and 2 burner stove, as well as sink and dishwasher. Mehr

The only minor inconvenience is there is no self parking,its all valet. So going out and in during the day can be a little time consuming. But overall the hotel is wonderful and the employees are pleasant all the time, not just at the front desk. Would definitely stay here again.

Not excessive in the ambiance, but just right. Huge room (though the queen-sized room - #917 - was amazing, the king-sized room was smaller and awkwardly arranged). If you want to stay here, stay in one of the rooms ending in -17 if possible. The hotel does not have it's own parking space. They use a public parking ramp that's located over a block away and doesn't appear to be very secure. As a result, I had to pay $12.00 valet parking (plus tip) every day. The quality and taste of the complimentary breakfast was just okay. The good news first. This hotel was excellent for the money. If you want/need to stay outside of DC proper, this is a great location. Just three or four blocks to the Metro, which took 15 minutes to get to the Mall, and plenty of decent restaurants withine walking distance. The rooms were good sized replete with small kitchen (real frig, toaster, sink, […] coffeemaker, etc) and pullout couch in a separate sleeping area. The downside: the rooms smell like old stale cigarettes and one of the room's toilets didn't flush properly all weekend. And the complimentary breakfast was disappointing. Stale bagels, fake eggs, but hey, it was free. Overall, I would stay there again; modern, comfortable, clean, good location, good price. Besides, I'd rather eat out anyway. Mehr

Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast and good service. Definitely recommend if staying in DC but want better rates than the city.

The room was excellent....beautiful linens and incredibly soft towels. The room was very comfortable....I liked having two TV's so you didnt have to always watch TV in bed. The location was fine for me...I was visiting my son in DC and was able to drive wherever I need to be. I only had three problems with the Hotal itself....the first was that the […] TV did not pick up more than half of the channels (satelite problems I guess) and I complained about it twice during my stay and got NO satisfaction...they acted both times as if they knew nothing about it and had not idea when it would be fixed. The second problem was the valet service. I would always call at least 1/2 hour before I would need my car and except for one day it was always a hassle either getting my car or dropping the car back again. I paid $12/day plus tips for the service (which I did not realize was extra when I made the reservation) and did not feel the service was worth what I got. Thirdly, the vending machines were never filled during the 6 day visit - I ended up geting drinks and snacks outside of the hotel. Despite the issues, I would probably book again because of the convenience of the location. Mehr

The hotel is fabulous. The quality of the suite for the amount paid is unreal. Its almost like 2 private rooma with 2 separate TVS, beds, etc. I look forward to staying there again. There is a great variety of eating places within 2 blocks. All types Italian, Irish, steak restaurants and pubs also. Only 30 minutes to Baltimore as well.

I was looking for a place to sleep near my family in Silver Spring, but didn't want to end up in a bad neighborhood. I found this and figured that we were willing to pay a bit more for a good location. We showed up and found out the building houses two Hilton brand hotels. I jumped on-line the day before we traveled and got a great rate thanks to Hotels.com. It turned out to be 1/2 what it would have been had I called Homewood directly. The location was great...about 4 blocks from the Metro. The neighborhood was safe. The parking lot was huge and very secure. And the room was way more than we expected for the price. The […] room was very spacious and unbelievably clean. The towels were soft and quite numerous. The linens were spotless and stuffed with feathers. The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. Even the guy pushing the linen cart had a smile and a return greeting. Our only complaint would have to be that we had to heat up our Maple syrup at breakfast before we poured it over our freshly-made Belgian waffles. Good thing they had 3 different kinds of coffee for us to sample while we waited like 15 seconds on the microwave. Yes, I am kidding. Their idea of a Continental breakfast is more of a breakfat buffet. We even went out the door with 2 bananas and some snack bars for our back-pack. I highly recommend Homewood Suites of Silver Springs, MD. I know where I'll be staying next time I'm down that way. Mehr

Hinta-laatutasoltaan erinomainen hotelli, josta vain 15 min metromatka Washington, DC:n keskustaan. Metrolle noin 10-15 min kävely. Hotellissa kolikkopesula, joskaan ei halvemmasta päästä, mutta säästää tilaa matkalaukkuihin ja tuliaisiin.
