Hotel Sorella City Centre - Houston

It was ok, but not as good as expected.

The room were smaller than what I had expected and the bathroom was even smaller. However, the lobby and the balcony had beautiful and comfortable furniture. The continental breakfast was delicious - plenty of colorful and fresh fruits! Elegant hotel!

Propositioned in the elevator by a call girl. Waited 30 minutes to valet park my car. Room was noisy and my wake-up call was 30 minutes late. I will not be staying here again or referring anyone to this hotel.

We booked under a rate that provided for 2 double beds. We also said we needed 2 double beds. When we checked in, the check in sheet said 2 double beds. When we got to the room....one king bed. We called downstairs, but sorry...2 double beds not available. Sorry kids, I guess that means the floor for you! We tried to order room service but the person […] couldn't tell us what the fish of the day was (she promised to call back but never did). We finally gave up and called back and just ordered something simple. Plain Hamburger with nothing on it and chicken fingers. Told it would take 30 minutes. When it showed up....90 minutes later, the food was all wrong. Thanks Hotel! Now my kids are uncomfortable and hungry. At least there was a can of pringles for them to eat before they fell into a fitful sleep.... Mehr

Hotel Sorella was very nice, located at the city center with great shopping and restaurants. We had a great time on our weekend get away.

We happen to have the kids on this trip and although it's high-end boutique look makes you feel like you are in luxury, there was no skimping on being kid friendly. The staff was exceptionally friendly and inviting. The location to all our favorite restaurants and shopping is fabulous and convenient! This Hotel was very nice. The room was comfortable and right in the Citycentre. Lots of things to do such as dining, movies and live music.

Seal on water bottle broken, cigarett ashes on floor ,Someone knocked on door 5 times starting at 4am and ran,Told manager in morning did'nt seem to care staff seems to think they are better than guests. Stayed at Motel 8 and had better service !! Really sad review said it was top notch. Good luck!

This hotel is done the right way, From the valets out front to the front desk. This is a very nice hotel. The bar was rockin on Saturday night with a great band! The surrounding area was very nice and I felt very comfortable walking around up in the night. I will stay here again!

The Hotel Sorella was clean and comfortable. We were given a sixth floor room (I thought I had paid for a room a bit higher up) overlooking the plaza. The night time view was spectacular--large fires in a fountain pool below. My only complaint is the hotel had no dvd/blu ray players available -- even for rent. There were numerous dining options within […] steps of the hotel, as well as a movie theater and a community theater playhouse. I felt extremely safe in the area. Mehr

We really enjoyed our hotel stay. It was in walking distance of the city centre and they also have complimentary shutle service with in 5 miles from the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They also have a bar that had live music and was pretty live. I would definitely stay here again.

We have stayed in most of the high end hotels in Houston and this is my new favorite. Loved the contemporary design, the lounge is so comfortable and private. The location in City Centre is great with access to shops, movie theater and restaurants.

This is a Wonderful hotel just a few miles away from us in the heart of a spectacular shopping district. We had no idea this was all there. The hotel is clean and very european. It is not your typical hotel where you can predict the carpet color and the wall papering. This has a flavor all its own. Is immaculately clean, modern, fun, and comfortable. […] The morning pastries are delicious and the surrounding restaurants vibrant with excellent food. This hotel was wonderful. It's location is convenient to the expressways but not at all noisy. The service was impeccable and the beds are so comfortable that you don't want to get up! There is a growing shopping area in the immediate surrounding area of this hotel a mall and large shopping center very near by. Restaurants abound in surrounding area. […] Go, Stay, Enjoy! Mehr

This is a fairly new hotel who's operations haven't been brought up to quality operational status. Staff was baffled by how to handle that fact that... Our room wasn't cleaned. There was no body wash. There were no trash cans.

The hotel is very modern...a bit too much for me. However, the rooms are large and the couch and beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms have a nice layout that isn't cramped. Breakfast was ok...wish they had bagels...not crazy about sweet treats for breakfast. Staff was nice. Overall...a great hotel. I look forward to staying there again.

I stayed 3 nights on a business trip. The hotel is new and has very modern furnishings and the surrounding area is new and very nice. The staff was attentive. The hotel is within a new mixed use development; restaurants and shopping are within walking distance. The only negative is that my room really did not have a traditional desk for my lap top but […] it was not a big deal; a table with 2 comfortable chairs was in the room and I set up my lap top there. I recently stay at the Sorella... let me start off with the good this first before you think its a sleezy hotel. For start the it has a great look and feel. Its very comfortable, Texas people are great and know how to make you feel at home. Know with that being said... here's the problems I have... it has a limo service the is free within five miles, […] problem is they don't know where they are going... it was my second time in Houston first time in that part of Houston, let's just say I ask the driver to take me somewhere and he began to yell at me because I didn't know where the place was. After reminding him that I was the customer and he was providing a service and that she should watch his tone, I get out of the limo and he refuses a tip. The second problem I had was leaving the hotel, the hotel apparently has contracts with outside taxi companies that either get lost or over charge you for getting lost. I report it to the assistant general manager as soon as it happened this past thursday November 18th 2009 and I still haven't gotten a call back. But it may be due to this being a new hotel just opening up and still trying to get the kinks out. Oh I almost forgot the Sorella offers a complimentary breakfast which is starter for your morning... well it was for mine. The Bar is the most functional feature... the bartenders are GREAT "Curtis and Tanggie" they were awesome!!!! All in all the Sorella is a great place, I just don't like the fact I was the test rat subjected to the bad service... I hope they do well, wish I could say more positive things but I can't at this time... maybe the next I stay in Texas I will give them another try. Mehr

Room clean and very comfy. People there were very nice. Great location right next to shops, restaurants and I-10. Room service brought food uncovered! Tray was never picked up from outside my room for 3 days! The hotel key machine was not working so we did not have a key for our room. The management had to let us in every time we went out. It was an ok hotel for the price we paid.

We stayed at Hotel Sorella for my daughter's 17th birthday and were very pleased with the accomodations! Clean, (love a brand new hotel) convenient, being so close to the Beltway 8... and very classy with a modern style! The continental breafast was delicious with a nice variety to choose from! The hotel was a lot more than I expected... swanky, chic hotel for a fraction of the price of comparable hotels like W Hotel and such. Very comfortable, and fun!

I had two very important hispanic customers coming to town for a seminar. We pulled up to check into the hotel and were very rudely told by the manager that we could not park our truck out front even to check in that we needed to move our vehicle to the parking garage. Not two seconds later a man and his daughter pull up to the door in a BMW the man […] runs to help them unload their luggage lets them leave there car AT THE DOOR never offering to help us. Rooms were ok for the price but for any more than that rate I wont be staying again. Bottom line unless you drive an equivalent to BMW or better dont expect to be treated like a person at this hotel. My husband & I went for a "date" ... loved it!!!!

The bed was extra comfy. Not sure if I like the idea of having only a shower instead of a shower & tub however. Still lots of construction going on but the rates during construction were extremely reasonable. My husband and I would consider going back even once all construction is completed and pay asking rates.

great hotel, just dont stay on the 3rd floor, a lot construction on the resturant at 9 am.

Used this as a quick night out from the kids. Very nice place. It's new so the resturants aren't open. The bar is nice and staff is great. Overall a great stay for the price. I'm sure this price will go way up as soon as more things open in and around the hotel.

My wife and I stayed at Sorella last weekend, and just absolutely loved it. It opened the weekend before, and we were 1 of the first guests to stay. There is still construction going on, and with it being new there are still a few kinks to work out, but overall we were very impressed with it all. We will be staying again!

New, spectacular MOD, cool clean architecture at Houstons newest, coolest boutique hotel! Perfection location surrounded by tons of new restaurants (coming soon), movie theatres, etc, all within walking distance...the 5 star service is impecable with never before slept in beds (huury, while supply last!)Not too mention the great intro grand opening […] rates!A Diffinate Repeat!
