Georgetown Inn - Canmore

Sehr großzügig ausgestattete Zimmer. Wir hatten 2 Zimmer mit Whirlpool und viel Platz. Insgesamt waren die Zimmer durchweg sauber. Ein Bügeleisen war vorhanden, aber das Bügelbrett fehlte (oder wir haben es nicht gefunden). Auch waren „europäische Toiletten“ auf unseren Zimmer vorhanden. Das Hotel ist recht zentral gelegen. In ca. 5-7 Minuten ist man […] zu Fuß im Zentrum von Canmore. Von außen auf den Fotos wirkt das Hotel sehr stilvoll und etwas edel. Auf den zweiten Blick ist die Einrichtung recht wild zusammengewürfelt und wenig edel. Aber egal. Vieles muss man ja auch nicht anfassen, sondern nur anschauen. Bahnschienen verlaufen in der Nähe zum Hotel, was zumindest auf der einen Hotelseite zu Lärmbelästigungen führte, aber noch erträglich war. Was nicht gefiel war die Freundlichkeit und das Auftreten des Hotelchefs. Zumindest ein nettes „Good morning“ zu seinen Gästen und eine der Position angemessene Kleidung hätten wir erwartet. Ein Blick durch die Küchentür (konnte man vom Hotelparkplatz einsehen) hat uns davon abgehalten, mehr als ein kurzes Frühstück dort im Hotel zu uns zu nehmen. Sauber und organisiert ist etwas anderes – in unseren Augen. Und der Schwarzwälder Schinken, der dort auf der Karte steht, ist sicherlich nicht das, was wir in Deutschland hinlänglich darunter verstehen. Mehr

Charmantes Hotel in Canmore. Wir hatten ein Viktoria-Zimmer dieses war mit Jacuzzi und Kamin ausgestattet. Fairer Zimmerpreis! Empfehlenswert!

Lounge bar felt like a little bit of England.Room was clean and comfortable with a two person jacuzzi. View was disappointing,it was a car park.Staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

The outside of the hotel looks very much like a little countryside inn in England. The bar had the same warm feeling,very welcoming.Room was very comfortable and clean,not a very appealing view of the car park but maybe should have asked for mountain views! They found out we were there for an anniversary trip and upgraded us to a room with hot tub for no more money! We liked the decor, setting, quietness, and breakfast from the in-house restraunt. We give it an A+!!

This Hotel has a nice relaxed country Inn feel. Enjoyed our stay however the beds are very hard.

Nice room, cozy and the food was excellent (English/pub style/atmosphere). However the bed was hard/too firm and this particular room was right next to the railroad tracks so not a very restful sleep after driving for 7 hours on our way through to Edmonton. Ask for away from the railroad tracks when you make your reservation or bring earplugs and suggest […] a room with a bed that is whole lot less "firm." Mehr

The Georgetown Inn is an Old English-styled boutique hotel. The inn offers a $7 discount per person that you can use towards an excellent breakfast that may cover the cost, in part or fully, of any one of many breakfasts offered on their menu. Luxurious towels and soaps are yours to enjoy; room decor and bedding is tastefully done; the room is fresh […] and clean. Comfortable chairs and a faux fireplace makes the room very cozy. (I was told by one of the employees that every room is different; so not all rooms might have the fireplace feature.) You can walk around this hotel and read about the history of Canmore, its local celebrities, and the movies that have been shot in the area. A very nice place to stay. Mehr

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Very quaint, cozy hotel with charming restaurant. Food was good. Interesting decor in both the restaurant and hotel hallways. Roomy were clean and cozy - perhaps a bit on the small size, but was quite adequatefor our needs. Staff were helpful and friendly. Price was reasonable considering the area. Great hotel, very friendly and helpfull staff, great room, very convenient location, great pub and patio, funtastic breakfast.

Had a great stay here - very helpful staff and the surroundings were like a canadian version of an english pub with a quaint bar downstairs that leads to an outside courtyard. Roaring log fire at breakfast dining, quaint surroundings and interesting art and nick nacks on the walls. Nestled in Canmore just off TC1, surrounded by mountain peaks, an easy […] drive to Banff, definitely value for money. My room had a huge bed, spa bath as well as separate shower. Very fast wireless internet and free breakfast voucher included in room price (if you want to really indulge, go for the famous selection of french toasts). Best of all was the corridor outside my room where they had mounted posters, stills and information on many of the famous hollywood films that had shot in the area over the years - very interesting. Would stay again - highly recommend Mehr

The girlfriend and I stayed at the Georgetown Inn in July 2011. We definitely recommend it. There was a jacuzzi in our room, the bed linens were very nice, and the staff was wonderful. It's less than 15 miles from Banff.

Charming Inn perfectly located for sightseeing in the area. Very comfortable room. Great breakfast served by very attentive waitresses.

found the Georgetown to be a quaint, comfortable place to be with a little pub and restaurant within the hotel. It's more like a B & B environment with Hotel attributes. Staff were very friendly and rooms were clean. Would definitely stay there again. My only recommendation would be 2 ply toilet paper :-) Karen

This was our second time staying at the Georgetown Inn and was perfect. We stayed here for our 4th year anniversary and the rooms made it that much more. The rooms have gas fire places with a cozy sitting area and an amazing view of the mountains in the background. Staff were quite helpfull and they even have boardgames on site which was not expected. […] With regards to the restaurant service and room rates, you pay for what you get and the price is reasonable. Another great feature is the hotel is minutes away from the main street of Canmore so you're close enough to walk, but you don't get to hear all the drunks stumbling home. Looking forward to the next stay when we travel through Canmore again. Mehr

We had a wonderful stay at th Georgetown in. The value was tremendous for that area. We especially liked that our room (Victoria suite) had an anteroom with a fireplace and comfy chairs where we could decompress in the evenings after a long day running around the wilderness. Also appreciate the free parking, free wifi, and $5 breakfast voucher. Staff […] was so real and friendly...made us feel right at home. Location was easy to find and a great jumping off place into th park. You really can't go wrong here - oh yes, most importantly, the bed was comfortable! Mehr

le B&B est trés bien situé il faut un Gps pour le trouver ,breakfast super l'acceuil super ,la seule chose qui m'a un peu gêné ,c'est la taille de la chambre car entre les photos et la taille de certaines chambres cela sent l'arnaque ,eviter les chambres 1 ,2 et 3 elles sont vraiment petites

Ho soggiornato con mio marito nel mese d'agosto ,Hotel molto carino camera pulitissima, l'unica cosa da sottolineare è che la prenotazione fatta con Hotel.com diceva colazione gratuita,mentre l'hotel ci ha dato la colazione fino a 7 dollari canadesi il restante conto và pagato, non è molta la differenza da dare,ma chi soggiorna in questo hotel deve […] sapere.
