Man fährt weit, bis man dort ist. Dann ist man aber in einem tollen Hotel mit sehr schönen Zimmern. Lediglich ein paar bezahlbare Restaurants in der Nähe fehlen. Mag aber im Winter beim Skifahren anders sein.

"Clean but difficult access"
If you are travelling north on Hwy 97, access is poor as you must go to next block and make U turn (no problem going southward). Perhaps website could alert patrons to this fact.Very clean room but no space for sofa, had to watch TV from bed.

"unhappy customer"
the staff was friendly, but when I got into my room, it was freeing inside. I had to actually turn the heat ON and when I called the front desk they just said..."oh yeah, just turn on the heat" The "hot" air coming out was only lukewarm at best and it took almost 2 hours to heat the room up to where I felt comfortable taking my coat/shoes off. (it was […] -18c outside the night before). I couldn't have a shower or do anything until the room heated up. I will never stay there again. Mehr

Nice hotel, good breakfast, nice and helpful staff. Definitely recommend this hotel and will stay there again.
"A stay in the lake Country"
After returning from a four week jaunt around BC and 7 US states my husband and I had a number of interesting hotel stays. We discovered a few chains we liked to try to because of the courtesy and cleaniness. Our stay at Winfield was the last and we were very impressed. In the evening and the morning the person manning the desk was especially helpful […] with directing us to local places to visit and eat. In our travels we discovered the hospitality and conversation came foremost especially when we were far from home. My husband and I have discovered Canadian is far more helpful and knowledgeable when asking directions to good restaurants and local sites. They add little extras like general down home comforts and how does! In our busy coorporate world we often forget the comforts of home the most important one being hospitality. Your hotel exemplified that aspect for my husband and myself. This time our stay included our 2 year old precocious granddaughter but she too felt at ease! The biggest difference between the 2 countries is the higher Canadain pricing and the big tax add on! Mehr
"Good for young family"
Blocks away from wonderful lake with ice cream shop and park and playground. Quiet, clean, microwave, fridge, and two beds. Good breakfast in the morning. Friendly staff. Gold stars all around!

This is a nice hotel but don't decide based on the Breakfast, it's one of the stingiest I've seen, carbs ONLY. Even the 2 cereal towers only offered Cheerios and Sugar Frosted Flakes (i.e. no Raisin Bran). I went to A&W instead, it's close by :-) I appreciate a place that offers at least ONE of: Fruit (fresh or tinned) Boiled Eggs Yogurt

"Handy & nice balance between services and country"
Very clean, friendly service and nicely appointed room. The only negative is the in-room coffee is Terrible!
