Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer musste den ganzen heizen, damit es abends nicht zu kalt wird. Das Bad wurde gar nicht von der Wärme gar nicht betroffen und war entsprechend frisch.

"Schönes Hotel in Flughafennähe"
Wir haben das Hotel als Zwischenstop benötigt. Waren überrascht über die schöne Lage so nahe am Airport. Die Holzbauweise des Hotels, der großzügige Eingangsbereich mit dem Restaurant und dem großen Kamin strahlte Gemütlichkeit aus. Wir hatten ein schönes,großes, helles, ruhiges Zimmer. Im Preis war kontinentales Frühstück enthalten. Wir haben uns dort […] sehr wohl gefühlt und waren lediglich enttäuscht, dass für unseren Zwischenstop auf dem Rückflug kein Zimmer mehr frei war und wir ein anderes Hotel suchen mußten. ...sie übertraf gar unsere Erwartungen: schöne, gepflegte Hotelanlage mit viel Holz und Grün, sehr zuvorkommendes und unkompliziertes Personal und ein unschlagbarer Service. Wovon durften wir kostenlos profitieren: Bring- und Abholservice an den/vom Flughafen bzw. Bahnhof, von wo aus einem der Zug ausserdem innert Kürze in die Innenstadt Seattles bringt, […] Wasserflaschen, Früchte, Süssigkeiten, Eis, Joghurt, so viel und wann immer man will, Daily News am Morgen vor der Türe und wie fast überall in den USA Kaffee/Tee um Zimmer. Schönstes Zimmer während unseres 3-wöchigen Aufenthalts in den USA. Sehr ruhig, trotz Flughafennähe. Mit öV ist man in ca. 40 Min. in der Downtown. Sehr gute Alternative zu wesentlich teureren Unterkünften in der Downtown. Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen und kann ich jedermann/frau empfehlen.

Cedarbrook Lodge liegt in der Nähe des internatl. Flughafen von Seattle. Der Flughafen ist in den Aussenanlagen des Hotels leicht zu hören, nicht aber in den Räumen. Gartenanlage und Inneneinrichtungen sind von höchster Qualität. Frühstück ist OK. Die Anlage ist sehr weitläufig mit mehreren Gebäuden. Zimmer an deren Enden haben zum Teil kein Wifi Empfang. […] Die Gebäude haben je ein "Wohnzimmer", in dem sich die Bewohner treffen können für Wifi, oder um aus deren Küchenecke kleine Snacks, Eiscreme und Wasserflaschen zu beziehen. In 10 Minuten Autodistanz sind äusserst grosse Einkaufszentren. Für Gäste mit Mietwagen oder Flughafengäste (Shuttle) sehr zu empfehlen! Mehr

"Pleasantly surprised"
The stay was excellent. The staff was help full and were very pleasant. The site was beautiful and even though it was VERY close to SEATAC the planes taking off frequently was not irritatingly loud. You could see the planes taking off. The hotel had a "living room" where there were complimentary malted milk balls,ice cream, water, and chips. This was […] a surprise and made the stay nice. Did not leave the property for a full day. The rooms are small but the bathroom is large. The tub size was a GREAT!!!! The only problem was the computers, the printer was not connected properly and I was not able to print my plane ticket. Mehr

"Not a five star hotel, but nice"
The staff is friendly and the setting is nice, but don't confuse this with a five star hotel. I stayed here because of the high ratings and great rate, but guests should be aware there are some flaws. First, they only offer queen sized beds, no kings for some reason even though the rooms are large. The hotel is about a mile from SeaTac, and even though […] the noise is not overpowering, you can often hear the planes taking off, especially in the morning. The building is wood framed and staying on a lower floor you can hear the running/jumping of guests above you at 5:45 AM. There is no pool or hot tub. There is no view. The continental breakfast is okay and consists of a dried cereal, yogurt, bagels and lox, and good oatmeal. They offer free snacks and ice cream (really nice touch). It's a nice place to stay for business travel, but it is not a resort or vacation hotel. Mehr

"Great Value and Luxury Accommodations"
We loved this hotel. It was upscale in all respects. Especially loved the snacks in the lounge area--chocolate covered raisins and malt balls no less in addition to Hagen Das Ice cream cups and yogurt and string cheese. The complimentary breakfast is the best ever!!! Bagels and lox included! It had great I5 freeway access. Parking is $12 per day […] and that is not mentioned anywhere so be prepared to add that to your bill. However, the parking was convenient and secure and almost everywhere in Seattle charges for parking. Note: they do not support Apple so we had a problem accessing their server with our IPAD. The 4G for the phone worked great but the wireless for the IPAD did not work. Their tech guy did his best and finally decided that there must be something on our IPAD preventing it. However, we talked to another person in the snack lounge area who said he could get on from there but had to retry multiple times to get onto their server and could only get it in that location. We hope they will eventually invest in some Apple support because it is such a nice hotel in every other respect. They did adjust our bill reducing our parking charges to acknowledge the inconvenience we experienced with the wireless access so just go knowing that you might have to get your wireless support off grounds. Beds are a little firm and the pillows are big. But everything else is excellent. I would definitely stay again and recommend this lodge to everyone.

Cedarbrook Lodge is a beautiful, serene place to stay in Seattle. Loved everything about the hotel and restaurant. The rooms were clean and up to date. The free snacks were appreciated after a long day of touring. The only negative thing for vacationers was the distance and time it took to get to the city. A long rail ride. This was just as good as it sounded on the website. It was so convenient to both the SeaTac airport and I-5 which made getting around easy. The service was excellent, and the attention to detail beyond the expected.
"Comfortable, Quiet, Beautiful, Like a Retreat"
This hotel doesn't feel nearly like a hotel as a semi-secluded lodge. It's quite surprising, given that it's in the middle of town. They manage it through good landscaping, good location, and the green belt behind them. The grounds were gorgeous, full of blossoming trees, lovely native plants and grasses, and a pond with mallards. There are nice benches […] and paths situated throughout the grounds. We were able to check in a couple of hours early. They offered us fresh hot spiced cider, made from fresh apples. It was a nice warm welcome on a cold day. They started charging for parking a few months ago, which was probably overdue. Parking is at a premium around the airport. That said, the price wasn't bad, and they let us park for a while after we checked out. The continental breakfast is first-rate. The breads and bagels were high quality and flavorful and fresh. The cream cheese was a good quality one, not the cheap grainy type usually found in continental breakfasts, if they have it at all. They had delectable smoked salmon out, with capers on the side. The salmon was my favorite part. They also had a few types of sliced salami, boiled eggs, cereals, pastries, and oatmeal. For the oatmeal, there were bowls of toppings ranging from pecans to craisins. The oatmeal was a little bit old by the time I got to it, but it had the texture of the real thing, not instant oats. The coffee was good. Various juices were available, but I didn't try them. They do a Sunday brunch for some holidays, so keep an eye out for the continental breakfast closing early on Sunday so they can prepare for brunch. They didn't give us advance warning that they were closing it an hour early, but we were there plenty early anyway. The bar opens relatively early and has a cozy atmosphere and a pool table. Beautiful northwest flavor hotel. Service and immediate surroundings are great. Super close to the airport but tucked into a neighborhood so you would never know once there. The Cedarbrook Lodge is the perfect hotel for a traveler who is looking for something different from the big chains' standard business offerings. The hotel is comfortable and also stylish (something that doesn't always work functionally in some trendy hotels). The little touches like communal lodge living rooms with complimentary snacks; smoked lox […] at the complimentary breakfast; and one of the nicest gyms I've seen makes this a hotel I will definitely visit again. While I was originally reluctant to book it due to the fact that it is 14 miles south of Seattle's downtown, I eventually came to appreciate the quiet location and beautiful grounds at the end of each busy day. "Great last night for vacation"
Though the nightly rate was a bit more than other hotels in the area, I took a chance on the high reviews and was not disappointed. The hotel was easy to find and extremely close to the airport (but not too close--the well maintained grounds make you feel like you aren't in the middle of it all). The room was clean and well designed. The complementary […] snack bar located in each building of the complex was a nice touch. The breakfast was different than your usual continental breakfast (smoked salmon for breakfast--nice touch!), and quite nice for being included in the rate. Among the hotels next to the airport, I thought it was by far the best deal. Really cozy, really warm, feels more like a mountain resort than an airport hotel. Wonderful place to stay! You feel right at home with a "Pantry" and livingroom on each floor and a fabulous boutique restaurant and bar in the hotel. Gorgeous grounds and a walking path. This hotel was the perfect choice for a layover in Seattle. Convenient shuttle service, friendly staff, snacks, and lovely breakfast in the morning before flying out again. Only wish we had more time to enjoy the hotel.

"Caution to Vegetarians"
Bring your own food. The restaurant had only a vegan soup (cauliflower) and a green unadorned salad, When I asked for some options, I was offered a chicken sandwich without the chicken. I had to go down the street to a local dinner. Food aside, this has wonderful setting and is a really lovely hotel.

Friendly,customer-driven service, great restaurant, spa-like feel with unusually deep and comfortable bathtub for a real soak (appreciated the high quality shower products too). Very close to the airport - 10 minutes max - and surrounded by green yards, which would add to the peacefulness in nice weather months. Courtesy Van was a comfy upscale SUV […] type.. very personal feeling. Great directions on website to get to the courtesy van pick up... never seen this on other hotel sites and it really does eliminate one small but important stressor when arriving into Seattle after a very long flight. If you have a very tight layover in Seattle, saving a few bucks by going to one of the more conventional hotels on International drive may make sense... This is an amazing little treasure - only minutes from SeaTac but miles away from oridnary - great emenities including an upgraded continental breakfast. Lots of extras like a fridge in the sitting area with water, yogurt, chocolate malted milk balls, etc. GREAT staff and GREAT stay - most comfortable pillows in the world!
