"Schönes Hotel in ruhiger, zentrumsnaher Lage"
Bewertet von einem Hotels.com-Gast am 2. Feb. 2013Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt, mit Umgebungsinfos versorgt und sogar vor dem planmäßigen Check-In in unser geräumiges Appartment gebracht. Diese war sehr sauber und ließ keine Wünsche offen (TV, kleine Küche, Bad mit Fenster, Kaffee, Tee etc.). Frühstück hatten wir nicht gebucht. Alles in allem war dies ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Das Hotel macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Es liegt in sehr ruhiger Hanglage, ca. 20 min Fußweg vom Zentrum entfernt. Es gibt 5 min entfernt einen schönen Park mit wundervollem Rosengarten, von welchem man einen hervorragenden Blick auf die Skyline hat.

The only complaint I would make is about those horrible little packets of soap - when will all hotels, apartments etc provide a decent bar of soap in a packet that can be opened easily! "Would definitely stay again..."
I did not realise when booking that Quest Parnell is a serviced apartment hotel so was a bit surprised on arrival. Somewhat disconcerting to have to talk to a person on a reception phone outside the building on arrival (Saturday 5.30pm) as reception was unmanned. Phone rang for a long time before answering which was unnerving but service was friendly […] and helpful once we got through. We found the carparking arrangements very confusing - thought it came with the room, didn't realise it was a separate booking (not on the Expedia website). Luckily ran into the hotel owner in the car park who was very helpful and friendly. Hotel room was very good and the beds were comfortable. Facilities in the room were very good, plus clean and tidy. We used the lap pool and both experienced a little difficulty entering the Gym/Pool room as we didn't notice the second door handle up high above our heads (out of reach of kiddies). Suggest a small sign by the normal door handle would help. Lap pool was great - temperature was excellent. Shallower than expected! A comfortable place to stay but lacking in enough provisions (tea, coffee, milk and soap). We didn't get the bed configuration as we had requested. "Rabbit warren - rip off."
if you are clostrifobic stay away it is a confusing rabbit warren of long narrow hall ways and basement carpark that has doors that don't always like to open with your pass card. The rooms are not serviced on sundays, so your out of luck if you want a cup of tea in the morning, or a dry towel. No tissues, the tv is about the size of a laptop screen, […] take your own soap you get one tiny bit for the duration of your stay. The carpark entry takes at least 10 minutes to get the swiping card entry to work, if you are lucky there will be some one driving out that would save you time with the exercise in frustration of trying to get in. Upon checkin all guests are required to read and sign a Registration form which states that there is no servicing on sundays as do both the Welcome letter and Keycard holder which you receive. If you had alerted the Reception staff that you were dissatisfied with the 'No Service on Sundays' before 5.00 pm Sunday, arrangements could have been made to have your apartment serviced. You were offered to have your supplies replenished and fresh towels brought to your apartment but you declined the offer. The keycard system is very efficient when the keycard is used correctly. Your comment regarding the staff has made your feedback appear personal. You left leaving an outstanding account for your car park.

We spent a night in a studio apartment, good kitchenette, spacious bathroom with washing machine and dryer. Undercover, security parking available for NZ$11 per night. Friendly reception, although this closes at 5pm on Sundays. I stayed at this property on 6 Dec 2011, in a comfortable and extremely clean room. can't fault this place - quietest hotel I've stayed in, so had 5 nights undisturbed sleep. Very clean & comfortable. Just make sure to book a space in the car park - this could have been a problem if not for the obliging reception staff.
