Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer musste den ganzen heizen, damit es abends nicht zu kalt wird. Das Bad wurde gar nicht von der Wärme gar nicht betroffen und war entsprechend frisch.
Lage
Hyatt At Olive 8 liegt in Seattle in der Nähe von Seattle Paramount Theater, Pike Place Market und Washington State Convention & Trade Center. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Columbia Center und Space Needle.
Ausstattung
Hyatt At Olive 8 stellt Ihnen Folgendes zur Verfügung: Wellnesscenter, Fitnessstudio und Innenpool. Dieses Hotel mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Umweltfreundlichkeit und Nachhaltigkeit verfügt über folgende gastronomische Angebote: Restaurant, Coffee-Shop/Café und Bar/Lounge. Die Innenstadt von Seattle erstreckt sich entlang des Puget Sound vom historischen Pioneer Square im Süden bis zum schicken Belltown im Norden. Dazwischen reihen sich Bürogebäude, Einkaufsgalerien und Apartments in Backsteinhäusern an den grünen Boulevards aneinander. Hier befinden sich das Kongresszentrum und Pike Place Market, wo Lachse fliegen können. Gäste sollten auch unbedingt die futuristische öffentliche Hauptbibliothek besuchen. Die Zwillingsstadien Seattles und der International District liegen südlich von der Innenstadt.

"Zentrale Lage, guter Service"
Das Hotel hat mordernes Design und liegt sehr zentral in Downtown. Shopping und Essen in umittelbarer Nähe. Der Flughafen ist per Strassenbahn erreichbar (dauert ca. 30 Min. Fahrt). Das Beste an diesem Hotel ist das Gym, noch nie so ein gut ausgestattetes Fitness-Center in einem Hotel gesehen.

I loved the Olive 8, especially since they were so environmentally friendly BUT you could hear everything. Noises from the hallway and your neighbors. We were around the corner from the elevator but we could still hear it ding when it opened it's doors. Luckily the guests are pretty quiet. The pool deck is heated and it's nice. They gave us free red […] wine and chocolates when we checked in since it was my boyfriend's birthday. The wine wasn't very good but the chocolate cherries were great. We had to ask for the wine/chocolates three times before it actually made it to our room though. Checking in at this hotel was way better than any other hotel I've ever been too. The staff was incredible friendly. Great hotel price too. The bathrooms didn't have enough towel (etc) hanging hooks. The location isn't bad either if you want to hang out in Capital Hill, which I highly recommend the Hip on the Hill tour and ask for Nick, or want to shop downtown. They charge for EVERYTHING here. Charge for using a DVD player. Charge for more than 4 wine glasses. Charge for this, charge for that. Very annoying, I won;t be staying with them again.

"Fantastic "staycation" for our family"
We spent a day/night with our family that included 2 children - 5 and 6. Had a great time in the pool and jacuzzi - not crowded at all and very nice. This is a great place for those wanting an sleek and upscale hotel that is still friendly for kids. Our kids were shocked with the night time delivery of cookies and milk the front desk sent us! Everything here was grand. I arrived late. Wish I could have enjoyed the hotel more. Was here on business. If you have a vehicle over 6.5 feet high you may have to park in a separate parking lot right across the street instead of the hotel's parking garage. Very helpful staff.

Absolutely wonderful hotel. Great location. Pool and hot tub were incredible. The room was nice, the only issue was the bathroom door, didn't lock and slides closed. Not a big deal though. "NOT worth the money!!!"
This hotel boasts a glass shower but it's not. Its a small cut out in the bathroom wall for the door and take two steps and there is the shower. There was also no tub at all! The hotel boasts jetted tubs but only suites have them. Also its not $34 for parking its $41. The room was small and cramped and the heat couldn't seem to be regulated. bottom […] line: this place is not worth the money. Take your money and stay at the Pan Pacific. They have nice rooms with jetted tubs, parking is cheaper and they give you free bottled water when parking your car. Mehr

Stayed in town for business. Loved this hotel and the staff was extremely friendly. LEED certified hotel - loved that my key card turned off all the light automatically as I left. Everything was super nice and clean in the hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for her Birthday, and it was the best experience I've ever had at a hotel. They helped me arrange for flowers to be delivered to the room, and they even upgraded our room for cheap because of the special event. I will definately go back to the Hyatt Olive 8!!

very nice hotel. rooms and restaurant are very good. don't appreciate $41 for parking when you add the taxes.
Lobby/Reception area is somewhat disorganized. Would also recommend the flooring be addreseed as it appears to be dirty, chipped and cracked.

"eco-friendly luxury in Seattle"
This hotel is brand new, and it's nicely designed with all the modern conveniences. Just make sure you don't use the phone ($10 to call the next state for 45 seconds?!?!). Otherwise, we loved it.

From the central location in downtown Seattle to the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff; from the pristine cleanliness to the amazing decor of the rooms, this hotel is a fantastic place to use as a launching pad for exploring central Seattle. Did not have an opportunity to sample the in-house restaurant's food.

Great hotel. Like other reviews stated, the only complaint was the lack of water pressure. However, because it is a green hotel, I don't think there is a remedy to this problem. "Modern, clean but cold"
Ever get the feeling that you should have stayed somewhere else? This hotel was nice, modern clean but felt cold and uninviting. We had a better stay at the 3 * hotel (Belltown Inn). Belltown Inn was in the heart of all the action seconds to all the sites and the cruise ships. Although it was not extremely modern it was clean and had everything we needed. […] Plus the staff at the Belltown Inn was very helpful, friendly and made you feel as though you were at home. The Hyatt staff made you feel as though you were not good enough to be there. We arrived at 6 in the morning and they actually had a room available for us so we could check in right away. Great location, we could walk to everything.
"Stylish but low water pressure"
The hotel was nice and stylish. We got a corner room which was spacious. Everthing was fine except the shower. The hotel is trying to be echo friendly, so the water pressure was very low.

We stayed at the Hyatt at Olive 8 (on the corner of Olive and 8th) for 3 nights. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean and had a great view of the city. Great location! We walked down to Pike's Place market, down to pier 55 for a cruise through the sound, and over to the Olympic sculpture garden and the space needle. And great restaurants in the area […] (I recommend Dahlia Lounge and Lola's). I would stay there again! Mehr
"Perfect for us in Seattle"
Hotel has lovely decor and our rooms were very comfortable. Health club/pool/steam room area was top-notch. The hotel manager even retrieved my son's bathrobe (left in his room accidentally) and returned it to us, WASHED, in time for our cruise! My only complaint is the restaurant--slow service and rather pricey for breakfast.
The Hyatt At Olive 8 in Seattle Washington, was very nice and clean. With in walking distance or the monorail to some of the must-see sights. Thought it was a great choice. Very short walk to the Washington conference center. The atmosphere of the room and the comfort of the bed were wonderful to come back to after a long day of meetings. Didn't have the opportunity to enjoy the other amenities, but the pool, spa, and fitness center looked top-notch.
