Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Einrichtung entspricht sehr hohen europäischen Standards. Man hat sich sofort wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Motto des Hotels ist der Weltraum - Mond und Astronauten sind fast überall present und perfekt ins Design integriert. Es wurde viel Liebe zum Detail angewendet und die Möbel sowie die Farbgestaltung […] sind einmalig! Im 8. Stock befindet sich die Hotel-eigene Bar, welche den Gesamteindruck stilvoll abrundet. Das Moonrise Hotel liegt an einer der 10 berühmtesten Strassen (Delmar Loop) von Amerika mit trendigen Shops und In-Lokalen. Es ist absolut empfehlenswert - würde jederzeit wieder hin! Mehr

Beautiful hotel in a great neighborhood. Very good value for money. Elegant and new. Would be perfect with kids, too! Tolles Hotel! Empfehlenswert!

all in all we had a very pleasurable stay. the location for us was perfect (near our son's apartment), hotel was clean and stylish. the staff was very sweet and sincere but we had to request that our room be made up twice. we only had drinks in the restaurant but it was also well maintained and pleasant.

Great Hotel - Great Location

Within walking distance of dozens of restaurants, shops and a very cool bowling alley. This hotel is clean, comfy, fun and has an excellent restaurant. Centrally located only minutes from the zoo and Wash. U. Only a 10 minute drive to SLU.

Great location, nice room, really comfortable bed

Great staff, reasonable prices and cool neighborhood. Make sure to check out Pi - great pizza place across the street. Free parking around back.

I have had 2 stays at the Moon Rise in St. Louis and am convinced that it has the potential to be a great hotel. But for now, in my view - it falls a little short of its 4-star rating. First - why did I pick the Moon Rise? That's easy. It sits on Delmar Boulevard - not far from many beautiful Forest Park neighborhoods - and it's right in the middle […] of "The Loop" with all of the funky shops, cafes, restaurants, and the world famous Blueberry Hill rock 'n roll venue a short walk away. So there's no lack of entertainment and variety nearby. That was my reason for staying the first time. The second stay was motivated by the hotel's excellent rooms and comfortable bed. Despite its over-the-top lunar theme & kitsch - the Moon Rise feels chic and refined. So, you expect comfort and you do get it. The trade-off is that the service level of this hotel has been somewhat compromised. Three examples from my last stay will illustrate my point. First, upon my arrival - I pulled up to the entrance and expected some help from the bell staff with baggage. That didn't happen. The young man on duty was only interested in explaining their valet parking charges and didn't bother to offer to get my bags out of the trunk. Strike one! Despite that faux pas - I consented to have my car parked and so, I schlepped my bags into the lobby, past what may have been another bellman who also offered no help with bags. Not much of a reception for 4 stars. Next, even though I would be charged $12 a night for the valet parking service - when I called down around 7am the next morning for someone to bring my car around - the desk told me that I would have to come get my keys and get the car myself - as there was no parking attendant on duty yet. Hmm. They're charging me $12 a day just to hold my car keys? Strike two! Lastly, I returned to the hotel in the afternoon around 3pm and entered my room only to discover that it was still unclean & unmade. In a busy hotel with lots of guests this kind of thi Mehr

If you are going to the Pageant, it is right next door so is great for location BUT for the price, is not worth the money.

The hotel was Great! Room was really nice, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, lots of information regarding places to go. Location was perfect for a night and the Pageant and bars afterwards. Restaraunt/bar in lobby was fabulous! Loved every minute of our stay!

I've stayed here 3 or 4 times. Enjoy the hotel & area. Other than the front desk personnel 'too school for school' attitude, pretty good place

Loved it! Probably not a wise choice for families, however a fun place for adults. We were there during the Ice Carnival and enjoyed every minute. Relaxing place, not too far from Midtown and CWE, however after our concert in Midtown on Friday evening, we never left The Loop. Plenty to do right there. I will definitely go back!

Original hotel. Very pleasant staff. The restaurant had very, fresh tasty food at reasonable prices. Comfortable accommodations and great location.

If you are going to stay at Moonrise make sure there is not a concert going on at the Pageant. The hotel gets a little rowdy since it is right next store. My recent stay, believe it or not in January, was filled with a full night of tornado alarms going off. Not fun! Apparently in Missouri, the alarms go off if the conditions are present for a tornado. […] Where as in most cities they go off if a funnel cloud has been sited. As a result most Missouri folk don't pay attention to the alarm. Can anyone say, "the boy who cried wolf?" Mehr

loved it that the hotel was right next door to concert venue and had a good rate . there was and ice ball going on which was fun and the bar / resteraunt was good . definetly would like to return for the roof top bar experience since it was unseasonably cold for it to be open .

We had a great stay at Moonrise. The hotel was very comfortable and clean. Staff was professional and nice. The beds were probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in, a nice treat. Thanks Moonrise! See you again next time we are in St. Louie.

Great hotel especially if you are attending a concert at the Pageant!

I LOVE the Moonrise! It is very retro awesome! And comfortable! Great beds! Great location. Make sure to eat at Pi Pizza across the street!

I really am glad our customer steered me to stay here. Great service, amazing design, attention to detail, great spacious gym, lovely rooftop bar (although it was too cold to use it.) I would definitely come back.

The entire stay was perfect. Room was beautiful and very clean. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Loved the shops and restaurants around the area. If you are looking for something different from the chain hotels this is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice beds!! Stayed in standard room and thought it was great. Clock with I-phone hook up. Mini- fridge, very comfy beds. Nice hotel all round with contemporary flair. Hotel located next to great shops and of coarse The Pageant concert venue.

Excellent location...warm atmosphere...easy access to Metrolink...overall superb hotel to relax and/or appreciate the local surroundings.

Very nice location, but may not be for you if you are very sensitive to the throbbing base of percussion in a neighboring live performance venue. Moonrise has a good restaurant, open until the spectacular hour of 3 am, and reopening at 6 am, but failing to rise to the occasion of a delicious breakfast. Lovely staff and service.

This was my first trip back to Delmar Loop since I moved away in 2006 and it was so nice to grab a hotel right in the middle of the action. Moonrise is a block or so walk from the Delmar MetroLink so save money on a taxi from the airport (I think $3.75 now from Lambert to Delmar via MetroLink). Hotel did double-charge us for snacks but they fixed the […] mistake without any problems - very chic place right in the action and right near the 3am bars. Highly Recommended. Mehr

My wife and I stayed here in November 2011. We had tickets to a show at the Pageant, and chose this hotel because of its location and decent reviews. We loved the hotel. It was very nice, very clean, and found the service to be very good. We did not eat at the restaurant, and did not check out the other amenities. We just wanted a nice place to crash […] after the concert. For that, this hotel is perfect. The location was great- just steps away from the Pageant. The room was great (we expected the hotel to get a little loud after the show, but we heard nothing but silence). I would definitely stay at this hotel again the nice time I want to be in this neighborhood. Mehr

I travel a ton, and the week I stayed at the Moonrise, it was the 4th hotel I'd been in that week, including a night at the Cosmo in Las Vegas. Even as the last hotel of the week, it stood out among three other great boutique hotels. The design, decor, service and quality were all outstanding, and at a value unmatched by many other hotels. I would have […] expected a rehabbed old hotel "boutiqued" up for that price, not a new construction property. Sitting right next to the Pageant in the Delmar loop, walking distance from several great restaurants, the Moonrise reminded me about the cool St. Louis I moved away from 15 years ago. Mehr

What an exciting new place to visit. Chic, trendy and within the Delmar Loop which is always a great place to visit. We had a wonderful stay at the Moonrise. Can't wait to return in warmer weather and visit the roof top bar...!

This hotel is in a great location convenient to shops, boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the hotel was beautiful. I will definitely be back to visit.

Great location next to the Pageant concert venue. Terrific staff from the front desk to room service. Super clean and quiet room. Convenient valet parking and Delmar is a fun street to explore the next day. This will be our new base hotel when visiting St. Louis.

We stayed here on a college visit trip and had no idea what to expect. Check-in was not good - poor service. But after that everything was exceptional - the room - the amentities - the bath products everything was excellent. Even breakfast the next morning - EXCELLENT! Hope our daughter picks this college so we can stay this hotel on parents weekend! […] I would come back for a weekend stay based soley on this experience. Mehr

The Moonrise is a very cute, little boutique hotel in a fun St. Louis neighborhood. It's definitely off the beaten path. The staff are outstanding and incredibly friendly. My only complaint, and it's a big one, is the parking. They having a parking lot in the back. However, it is completely full because of the surrounding nightlife. I had to pay $17 […] a night to valet park for the 4 nights I was there. There were sections of the back parking lot roped off and restricted to hotel valet. These sections were largely empty and I could see my lonely car parked in it's expensive spot from my hotel room window. It left a very bad taste in my mouth. Hotel guests should get to park for free. Mehr

Great place, rooftop bar was a treat.

Had great and friendly room service! They called us many times to get our order and to update us with the time. Great knowledgeable staff! Overall best weekend I had! I fell in love with st Louis and my girl friend all in one weekend! Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and being one of the readiness had one of the best trips we ever had!

Awesome stay...been in many hotels and this was one of the funkier ones I've stayed at. Staff was super friendly and the locale was perfect. Went to Blueberry Hill for dinner...yummy cheeseburgers and the pageant for a concert. Would love to go back!!

Booked a night at Moonrise Hotel because of the roof top bar. It rained that afternoon so they decided to not open the roof top bar that night. It was disappointed but instead we went to the bar downstairs and had a good time. Overall, a very cool and modern hotel.

Super accommodating - they make such an effort to please. Remembering your name, offering an umbrella for the day, etc... A great stay. I will definitely stay again and recommend to others. Fun shops on Delmar and close to everything. Loved it.

Extremely friendly staff. Excellent decor. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very powerful climate control (always an important detail for warm-blooded people like myself). The restaurant is nice and the food is good, even if it is pretty overpriced. There's a dozen great restaurants in walking distance. Parking is a little odd; it's in a small parking lot […] behind the hotel, requiring a walk past the dumpsters (really?) and then through a carport tunnel to get into the hotel, but there were always plenty of spots. This is definitely my first choice if I ever come through St Louis again. Mehr
