Great hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is right in the centre of Belfast everything is within 5-10 minute walk. Unfortunately the restaurant wasn't as good as I hoped it to be. Me and my girlfriend ate there and we were disappointed with the main course. My chips were even too dry. The room was amazing - everything was taken care of. Very clean, excellent location, and not a bad view. My only gripe - and a minor one - was that the stereo didn't have an iPod dock. No complaints, and the hotel and staff are fantastic. Definitely stay here if you're visiting Belfast.

We didnt feel that this is a 5 star hotel. Although there were aspects of the hotel that were lovely, there was also bits that were not so good. We took the car, not thinking about parking, just presumed that it would be included in the price of our stay. Wrong. It is expensive to park so think about that before you travel. Reception staff not very […] friendly or helpful. Sirens going off all night (although not really the fault of the hotel) Our breakfast order was incorrect, were told that there was no brown toast when 1 minute later the table next to us was provided with some. Our room was lovely and clean with plenty of space. We were disappointed with the shower. It had a lovely big waterfall shower head, but due to lack of pressure from the water, it just trickled out. These may all seem like small things, but its the small details that make a place 5 star. I would stay again, but only if the price was reduced as it was not worth the money that we paid. Mehr

Regarding that Fitzwilliam isn't a cheap hotel in comparison to other hotels in Belfast, we were fairly surprised to notice that several details in the room were broken or in a "non maintained" condition (we were staying in one of the deluxe rooms). Although the room is spacious, there is almost no place to put you clothes (no drawers and no hooks, […] just a wardrobe with a few coat hangers). The breakfast is ok but don't be surprised that there isn't much to choose from. We would still recommend the hotel since the location is very good. It's probably a better bet, though, to go for a standard room along the Grosvenor Rd. Mehr

Stayed in Fitzwilliam as we were in Belfast for the Titanic Opening. I found the staff everyone of them so helpful, friendly and pleasant to deal with. Loved the room and the decor. Will return there when I visit Belfast again

Very central and lovely rooms. The breakfast's were also top quality. Staff were nice for the most part but a one or two were snotty enough when we were looking for a late drink.....and it wasn't that late, around 11 o'clock. Lovely cocktails tho :) The carpets in the lifts weren;t great and the lighting in the hallways was poor. If claiming to be a […] 5 star, I would have expected a bit more WOW. Mehr

This hotel had fantastic service and was in a great location. I highly recommend it to all.

Really lovely hotel, we booked 2 rooms, one for my friend and I, they kindly placed us opposite eachother. Nice sized, receptionist was a bit flusterd when we checked in, was on her own. Wasn't much in the room in terms of soaps/shampoo etc, had to ask for more. Staff in bar lovely. Amazing breakfast. I didn't like Belfast one bit,, it wasn't a wasted […] trip because this hotel was so nice. Mehr

Stayed in the Fitzwilliam. Lovely hotel, great location. I would recommend. Steaks also fabulous!

The room was excellent . The base of the bed has very sharp corners at the two corners away from the headboard .I hit my leg on the corner and cut it.Somebody wilt a damaged leg ,if they hit it could bo a lot of damage.I would look into it The shower tray is a bit slippery but OK.and not a lot of water presure Although i have these comments i would […] stay there again.I am not being awkward only giving my opinion. I recently had a stay in the Fitzwilliam Hotel, and it was a pleasent & comfortable one. I stayed in the Executive Suite, and thought the room was modern, and cosy & the bed's were very comfortable. If i could change anything it would be the fan in the room, it was quite noisey during the night, regardless my stay was enjoyable, the breakfast buffet […] in the morning was delicious, the staff throughout the hotel were friendly and very kind. The hotels situated in the middle of everything, i travelled by train so it took a 2min walk to reach the hotel, everything is nearby. I would definately recommend this hotel! Mehr

Was woken at 6am with a prank call. Hotel's just about alright, pity about the other guests!

We arrived at the hotel at 9am ith the hope that they would take our luggage and to our surprise we were given our room there and then. Which was fantastic service, a chance to refresh and take a minute to catch our breath after our early morning start. The room was a good size, king size bed which was really comfy. Bathroom had a large shower and […] seperate bath, so none of this stepping over the side of the bath to have a shower. The highlight of the hotel are the concierges. All of them were very personable and were able to advise on the local services and on return took the time to find out about our day. If you do stay, get them to book a taxi tour for you. the driver we had was exceedingly knowledgeable and it was worth every penny. Thanks Fitwilliam hotel - we'll be back! Mehr

Lovely hotel with spacious rooms. However the strength of lighting in the corridors and rooms was poor.

From the friendliness on arrival at reception to the spacious room. Wonderful breakfast. happy smiling helpful staff. all help to make this a wonderful stay. A chest of drawers in the room for smaller clothing items would have made it superb. Would definitely stay here again

Overall Good hotel, in a good location, nice big room and large bathroom. Overall a good place to stay only draw backs were not much selection for breakfast and noise from road outside

A star in the middle of one of the best cities in the world !!!

we enjoyed the decor and comfort, the valet parking was dear, but overall beautiful hotel and staff so so nice.

We loved Belfast !! the other half goes on business sometimes and persuaded me to take a trip with him. The giants causeway and numerous castles/spectacular coastline interested me sio i set about finding a decent looking hotel for our stay. I have to say the Fitzwilliam ticked all my boxes, lovely decor, wonderful bar area, excellent breakfast.We dont […] tend to eat in the hotels we stay at but with weary legs we did actually eat in the restaurant, quite disappointing but maybe theyd set themselves such high standards in all othere areas this was a tall order to match up to. We do eat out a lot though and i'd have to say the choice and standard was only average. Otherwise couldnt fault hotel for price, comfort or location.... will try the Fitzwilliam Bublin next me thinks !!! Mehr

Just stayed in the Fitzwilliam for a long weekend and had an excellent, relaxing and very pleasant experience. The staff were extremely friendly, ever willing to help and cannot sing the praises of this hotel enough of it at all. Excellent stay, next time I will probably opt for a suite :)

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. Only problem that we came across was the darkness in the corridors. I can understand conserving energy, but they could do with a little more light in the corridors. Thought I had my sun glasses on at first. Bar is really nice, but the music was totally out of character with the clientelle. great room! comfort large bed. bathroom was black and white but very comfortable. The hallway were dark and on a dim light. we had a hard time finding our room the first night. Please keep the lights on.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely clean rooms. Very comfy bed. Just a great experience from start to finish.

We stayed for 2 nights.classed as 5 star but wouldn't call it that.clean but wasn't worth the money we payed.also to park our car was 17 pounds per day which we didn't expect.

A lovely hotel really enjoyed out stay. Though it a bit expensive for a short break but was of a very high standard so I suppose you get what you pay for.

the hotel is in very central location. We were extremely impressed with the friendliness of the staff and how welcoming all were. Great cocktail bar and staff. The only slight annoyance was we had dinner in the hotel restaurance on the friday night as did a large group of tourists. The service was quite lacking as a lot of the staff were dealing with […] the large group. however, it did not taint our stay in the hotel. Would definitely revisit. Mehr

We stayed in the Fitzwilliam for 3 nights, everything about this hotel is great. The staff are all really welcoming, the bar food is lovely and the cocktails out of this world :) we'll def be going back!!

This is a fine quality hotel, right in the centre of Belfast. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, who were so friendly and polite. An ideal hotel for anyone staying in Belfast City Centre

I left the hotel in a rush during my stay and realised once I'd got home that I had left my jacket in my room wardrobe. It was an expensive jacket which cost £100 so I called up and told the staff my room number and the date and time I checked out. However, it transpired that nothing had been returned therefore I can only assume that a cleaner had taken […] it. I would imagine that given the room number, date of checkout and the fact it was an almost immediate request they would know exactly who had cleaned the room. However, nothing whatsoever was offered to me for this and I was simply told my jacket was not there. Therefore I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Me and my business colleagues shall not be staying here again either. Mehr

Great location, only downside was the charge for parking the car overnight, of which we were unaware.

Very modern. Excellent hotel in a great location.

I have to say this is a nice enough hotel, especially if you are a business traveller. But I was there with my boyfriend and it just doesn't have any romance about it. The staff were very helpful.

When we travel, we do not appreciate being bullied into tipping. This occurred when we walked into the hotel for the first time. The concierge and bellhop as well as the front desk made us feel unwelcome. We couldn't use a calling card out of our room phone.(only hotel of 5 we stayed in in Ireland) Television didn't work. it does have all the amenities, […] but we will never stay in one of their properties again. Lots of four and five stars around that are glad to have us visit and show it. Mehr
