This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. As soon as we entered I remarked to my business partner that the front desk clerk, Joe was there. As soon as we approached the desk, Joe stated that he remembered us from a year ago. The lobby was clean and attractive with lots of seating. Our room was spacious and decorated tastefully. There was […] a full sized fridge, micro, stove etc... I like that the shower area is seperate from the sink so that one person can be in the shower while the other can get dressed, apply makeup etc... The only negatives is that the fan seems to run all th time no matter the setting. The breakfast buffet was one of the best offering both cold and hot options daily. There was apples, oranges, bananas as well as a fruit bowl with blueberries (fresh) and watermelon. Hot oatmeal with toppings, waffles with whipped cream and strawberries, breads, danishes, yogurts, cereals, a meat and eggs. Coffee, two juices, hot cocoa. I will stay again next year. Mehr

We stayed for three nights and found the hotel to be clean, the staff helpful, the room spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was only fair; scrambled eggs all three mornings were rubbery and tasteless, bacon one morning was too raw to eat. Stick with the waffles, cereals, breadstuffs, yogurt, etc. We'll gladly stay there again.

I'll definitely stay here again. I've been to a few extended stay residences and found them okay, but this place was really fantastic. The pool was great, the beds were excellent and the kitchenette came in very handy. It had everything that I needed and then some. Fantastic place!

I liked the layout of room with small kitchen and dining table. Hotel was quiet even though there seemed to be many families staying. We did not use the pool or exercise equipment. Bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. Good location for our purposes.

I believe this was probably the best hotel stay I have every had. The room was beautiful with a complete kitchen, sofa and generous amenities. There was even a putting green and grill out in the courtyard. Breakfast buffet was excellent, much more than the usual continental breakfast.

After a couple of disappointments at other hotels during our vacation, it was such a nice surprise to walk into a spacious, clean and beautifully decorated suite. The front desk was friendly, breakfast was above just the typical continental, and the bed was ultra comfy...all this for a great price!

We liked the openness of the room, the breadfest and dinner area was just super, with 2 people working and cleaning up and free dinners M-F. They do a super job to help your stay in Madison.

We stayed here for a weekend trip to Madison. Comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff, great room, and a decent hot breakfast. All things said and done it's a solid place to stay and we'll certainly being staying there again in the future.

I've never stayed at a Homewood Suites before, but after this stay I will specifically seek out this chain again. I was very impressed from the moment we pulled up. The building was newer and very clean. We were greeted immediately and check in was fast. I was very happy with the room. It seemed as if they thought of everything. The room was super clean, […] there were always more than enough towels and extra toilet paper (pet peeve to run out and have to ask for more), even paper towels. The kitchen had plates, and cooking utensils. Internet was free and worked flawlessly. Breakfast was awesome. There were 2 hosts during the meal who walked around the area explaining what everything was and offering refills on coffee tableside. There was quite a variety of food..yogurts, hot oatmeal with toppings, make your own waffles with strawberries, potatoes, eggs, meat, apples and bananas. I would stay here again. Check-in was the easiest I've ever experienced. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff really went the extra mile. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown, and there are restaurants quite close. Would definitely recommend.

Somewhat further from downtown than I expected (though I read the maps), and lacking a few towels, this hotel was a wonderful place for my family to stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the space in the rooms (grandparents had one room, my family the other), played games, had tea in the seating area, sat downstairs for a chat in the lobby, and loved the wonderful […] options at breakfast. This is a wonderful hotel; very friendly, clean, and with great gathering spaces. Mehr

We had a great experience. The hotel is new, clean, and the staff are friendly. Our suite had a full kitchen which was a very nice surprise. Two separate rooms allowed our children to watch their own tv in the evening, which was great!. The pool was well maintained and a nice temperature. The breakfast buffet offered a very nice variety of foods. There […] is shopping nearby with a great grocery across the street with a huge selection of fruit & vegetables, cheeses, crackers, wines and beers, and boasts the "freshest fish in Madison". The was a very nice park across the street as well. We were close to the capitol (about 10-15 minutes drive) and campus, and a beautiful 40 minute drive down Hwy. 12 brought us to Devil's Lake. A huge suite for a great price. Location is a bit far from the heart of Madison.

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway so we decided to explore Madison. We choose the Homewood Suites Madison West because it offered multiroom accomodations. My husband often wakes up before I do so we appreciate having a seperate living room so he can watch TV before I wake up. The room was nice and spacious with a full kitchen (we had a 1 bedroom […] suite). Bed was comfortable for a hotel bed. My only complaint was the temperature of the room and hotel - it was always freezing. We actually turned on the heat in our room briefly so we didn't freeze in there but I realize we're the exception when it comes to air conditioning so if you like it cool, you'll like it there. The pool area was nice and open until 11 pm. The workout room had some nice equipment with individual tv screens on the treadmills and eliptical (tip: the headphone jack it near the bottom of the console). The nicest thing about this hotel has to be the manager's reception at night. It goes from 5:30-7:30 and is basically a free meal (note: only offered during the week). Free beer and wine, water and lemonade. While we were there they had cod with some sort of crust, some pasta dish, and meatball sandwiches that were to die for. They also bring out a Wii for family fun. You can also take the food back to your room if you prefer. The location is nice, although it is on the very west side of Madison. We went downtown several days which took about 15-20 mins depending on where we were going. We also went to a few attractions in Middleton which were just minutes away. Lots of restaurants in the area and you're right by a Target and the WestTowne Mall. Overall a great experience. We'd stay again! Mehr

We were very pleasantly surprised by all aspects of this hotel. It is almost new and was quite clean. The room was large, and the kitchen had all the amenities for a long term stay, like a full size fridge, dishwasher, etc. The free breakfast was also the best of our trip. Overall, very deserving of a top ranking and highly recommended!!
