Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.

Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. In direkter Nähe befinden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Stock Exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church) und man erreicht 3 verschiedene Subway-Stationen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Außerdem die Fähre nach LongIsland bzw. den Anleger für die Boote zur Freiheitsstatue und Elis Island. Da an der Wallstreet Abends/ Nachts nicht ganz so viel los ist, kann man - für NYC-Verhältnisse - relativ ruhig schlafen, v.a. im Vergleich mit der Gegend rund um den TimesSquare usw. Ein kleines, aber feines, familiengeführtes (so schien es) Hotel, dass wir auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen würden!

"Gutes Hotel vor den Toren Manhattans"
Das Hotel zeichnet sich neben dem üblichen Komforts eines 4 Sterne Hotels vor allem durch die gute Anbindung mit der PATH Subway nach NYC aus. Die einfache Fahrt kostet zwei Dollar und man ist nach 10 Minuten am ground zero(Anm.: Besuch des 9/11memorials muss vorher im Internet gebucht werden, Reservierung und Eintritt frei) oder in upper Manhattan. […] Am Samstag muss man ggf. einmal umsteigen, da dann nicht jede Linie fährt. Mit dem Auto fährt man durch den nahegelegenem Hollandtunnel für 12 $ nach Manhattan rüber. In umgekehrter Richtung kostet es übrigens nichts! Direkt am Hotel liegt die Newport Mall, wo man schnell mal was essen gehen kann(grosser foodcourt)oder auch shoppen(Macys, Sears, Kohls, uvm.) . Zum Hudson sind es nur ein paar Schritte. Starbucks mit NY-Blick ist ebenfalls gleich um die Ecke. Wegen der ausgezeichneten Lage haben sich noch ein paar andere Hotelketten in unmittelbarer Nähe positioniert(Doubletree by H., Courtyard by M., Hyatt). Mehr
"Außerhalb NY und doch mitten drin"
Hotel liegt knapp 5 min zu Fuß zur Path-Station. Fahrt in die 33 Street NY dauert knapp 25 Min. Wir hatten Zimmer 401 und sogar einen Blick auf die Skyline NY, FreedomTower. Die Junior Suite war sehr komfortable ausgestattet. Einrichtung war neuwertig. Matratzen sehr gut. In der Lobby hat man 1 Std. WiFi frei. Abstand zum Hudson River knapp 70 m. Wir […] waren mit fünf Personen in der Junior Suite und hatten noch genügend Platz (Kingsizebett, Schlafcouch und Zustellbett). Hatten nur Übenachtung gebucht. Zwischen Path und Hotel sind zwei Breakfastmöglichkeiten. Ein indisches und mexikanisches Restaurant sind auch da. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt dort. Ebenfalls ist ein Einkaufszentrum zwischen Hotel und Path gelegen. Zugang durch einen Banktower. In NJ sind wegen geringerer Taxe Kleidung pp. günstiger. Zum Shoppen waren wir zum Outlet-Center in Jersey-City-Garden. Große Anlage mit vielen Markenfirmen. Mit der Path bis nach Newark. von dort mit dem Bus 40 zum Center. Fahrtdauer 50-60Min. "Das Westin Jersey City Newport"
Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel zu einem ordentlichen Preis. Alles neu, alles sauber. Der Blick aus dem großen Fenster war traumhaft, über den Hudson River nach Manhattan. Dafür muss das Zimmer aber auf der richtigen Seite liegen - ich glaube, die Zimmer auf der anderen Seite haben nur Blick auf ein deutlich höheres Hochhaus und somit […] gar keinen Blick auf die Skyline von Manhattan. Super Entdeckung: Die Badeserie vom Westin "White Tea Aloe". Zum Glück kann man die Produkte auch in großen Gefäßen über das Internet kaufen! Einziges Manko: Wir wollten an dem Samstag - unserem einzigen Tag dort (bei 2 Nächten) - rüber und Manhattan anschauen. Wir dachten, mit der U-Bahn wäre eine gute, schnelle und günstige Idee. Leider hat uns der Empfang, den wir nach der U-Bahn-Verbindung nach Manhattan fragten, nicht gesagt, dass am Samstag die eine Linie gar nicht fährt. Wir haben die Station schnell gefunden, haben dann aber rund 15 Minuten allein vor dem Fahrkartenautomaten gestanden und alles mögliche versucht, um herauszufinden, welche Fahrkarten wir bräuchten und wie wir sie bezahlen könnten - es funktionierte alles nicht so recht. Wir haben schließlich irgendwelche Karten erstanden, von denen ich bis heute nicht weiß, ob das die richtigen waren... Dann haben wir die nächste halbe Stunde in der leeren U-Bahn-Station gestanden. Sehr unheimlich, uralt, total verkommen und dreckig dort. Als doch eine Bahn einfuhr - auf dem gegenüberliegenden Gleis - entstand ein Windsog, der uns und unsere Taschen fast weggerissen hätte. Und der Lärm, als die Bahn einfuhr, war unbeschreiblich. Unsere kleinen Kinder bekamen einen riesigen Schock und klammerten sich verängstigt an uns. Schließlich trafen wir doch noch eine Person dort unten und fragten die, wann denn endlich eine Bahn nach Manhattan käme. "Gute Alternative zu Hotels in der City"
Tolles Hotel, internationaler Standard, neu gebaut. Liegt praktisch direkt am Hudson River, schöne Aussicht auf Westside Manhattan. Geräumige, saubere, moderne Zimmer. PATH Bahnhof nach Manhattan 3 Gehminuten; 15 Fahrminuten, sehr praktisch. Alles in allem nur empfehlenswert!

"Easy access to NY City"
we stayed at the hotel to have a day in NYC, the PATH train station is one block from the hotel and drops you off on 33th street. Times Square is 42nd. Very clean & good location looking out over the Hudson into NYC

This hotel is in a perfect location to bounce over to NYC on the path and the rooms are really nice. We found the staff at the front desk to be rude and unhelpful however.

Hotel was conveniently located to local restaurants, shopping and mass transit to Manhattan. price was reasonable, room was comfortable and well appointed. Parking was more expensive than an adjacent hotel we had stayed in on a previous trip and we had to pay for wi-fi. We would probably stay there again, though, all things considered

"Quality close to NYC"
Great location and quality at a fraction of the price of staying in Manhattan. I stayed with 4 girls for a Bachelorette weekend and we couldn't have been happier. The closeness to the PATH, friendliness of staff, comfort of the room and great pool all made our trip fantastic. Will definitely stay here again.
"great area where everything was accessible"
My family and i had a wonderful stay. We came up to do some weekend sightseeing in new york. we found the hotel easily accessible to both train and subway. my children LOVED both the pool and jaquzzi. Room service was excellent with all of our requests and all requests were responded to quickly. I would definitely come back again!!!!

I grew up in Jersey City and travel there frequently to visit family and spend time in New York City. However, this was my first stay at the Westin and I hope it won't be my last. Our 22nd floor room was attractive and we appreciated being close to the PATH train and the Hudson County Light Rail. The staff were friendly and helpful. Two significant […] downsides: There is no free wifi in the guest rooms and we found the Sunday brunch buffet to be skimpy and not worth the price. I would like to give a special shout-out to Anna in the hotel security office. At about 11:00 pm, hours after I checked out, I realized that I had left my toiletry kit in the room. It would have been no big deal had I not had a pair of favorite earrings in the bag. Anna retrieved my items that night and had them packaged up and sent via UPS the very next morning. Great hotel, very close to the path station were you can go to manhattan in 10 min. Back to the hotel is a big mall, where you can find any kind of stores. Is a good choise by the price and location. The only thing bad that i can say is the room was not very clean , and also the pool was dirty. Every thing else was great,

3 things I like the most for this hotel are: 1. Great location: Path station & Starbuck are only one block away, trust that would be the most concern for all the travellers. it takes only 15 minutes to get to penn station in NY, and the trains run very often. 2. Nice bed: the bed tells the quality of a hotel. I'm a frequent traveller but I also had […] back pain, so I have high standard for the bed. The pillow top bed in this hotel is one of the very few hotel bed which I could sleep without rolling around all night or waking up many times at the midnight. 3. Front desk was horrible. We checked in at past 3 pm, and were told that our reserved room was not yet available as they were fully booked the previous day. We were advised to come back in an hour. So we came back at past 4, and waited until 4:30 pm. Still, room was not ready. Pressed to give an estimate of when the room would be ready, the lady answered […] haughtily that she did not know whether the room would be ready in 5 minutes or 5 hours! (At that point, my wife was so scared I would give her a piece of my mind. So, I let it pass) We decided we would not waste our vacation time waiting in the lobby for a room that might not be ready until 5 hours hence - and returned at 9 pm. Front deskman required my wife to present her passport AGAIN! The saving grace were the luggage assistant and doorman, who were very attentive to our needs. For the price of their rooms, I expected better service and courtesy, especially from the front desk. Never again. Mehr

I chose this hotel for it's location and was happy I did. Close to the PATH train, which leads to New York City quickly, plus the surrounding area has plenty within walking distance to keep anyone who enjoys getting away from the big city to a neighborhood feeling, occupied. "Beautiful Hotel and easy ride to the City"
***RECOMMENDED***This Hotel made it convinient to get to Manhattan with no problems. The Path trains were across the street and it was a 7-15 miute ride to get into Manhattan, not to mention more than 1/2 the price of the hotels in Manhattan. I usually stay in Manhattan but found the Westin prices to be substantially less, and the rooms larger and more comfortable. Loved the bed/blankets/linens - it was like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom was very large, as was the room itself. Nice big flat-screen TV with many channels to choose from. PATH station is a block away, restaurants and shopping […] are not far. "Great hotel in a great location"
We stayed here to visit NYC for our first time so we didn't know what to expect. The area this hotel is in is super nice, clean, and quiet. We spent many late nights in the city and we didn't feel at all uncomfortable walking from the PATH station to the hotel at 2am.

I enjoyed my stay at The Westin Jersey Newport! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the service was great! I would recommend people to stay at the hotel. The mall is walking distance and also a beautiful site of the city!
"Westin Jersey City - very convenient for NYC"
We were travelling to Newark airport and wanted to spend a day in NYC so chose a hotel in Jersey for convenience and price. The Westin is easy to find, has parking on site, and is almost across the street from the train into NYC. There is a mall behind the hotel and lots of other shopping in the area.

"Great Location"
The hotel is located a block away from the PATH trains and the NJ Light Rail - very convenient to access NYC and Liberty State Park (Statue of Liberty) and Hoboken. Also, the indoor pool was a nice touch.

"very convenient location"
So, we wanted to go to the city for the weekend and the Westin NJ had an excellent rate, which was much cheaper than Manhattan hotels. We were also able to park our car for $22 per 24 hour period (so 44 for the whole weekend cuz it was about 48 hours). It was a really short drive from the city (we drove in from Boston and crossed via the Holland Tunnel […] and it was very close to the exit) and there is no toll going into NJ (although its about $12 going back which stinks). Anyways, the hotel was very clean, very nice, spacious rooms, excellent service, good location within 2 mins of the PATH train. So we left our car there and took the PATH into manhattan (about 25 mins from hotel to 33rd street/penn station) and stayed there both days. Overall, EXCELLENT hotel. Mehr
"Westin Jersey City Newport- Steps away from Path"
This hotel is located adjacent to the Newport Mall and steps away from the PATH and lightrail. Very clean and modern, excellent service from staff, close to restaurants and shops, The Westin is the perfect stay for a weekend in NYC or nearby Hoboken, NJ. Highly recommended!
"Fabulous hotel"
We stayed two nights, and were very impressed. The staff was friendly and helpful. They made several great suggestions. The lobby, room, and restaurant were beautiful. The location was great - right near a PATH station and super shopping. NOT TO MENTION how close and easy it is to get to NYC.
